We leave five minute away the place is ok not so clean very disorganize the stuff do not control the kids i was there whit my little girl that is 9 month old you kids like 7 years old sliding on the slide i had the impression that is a place for small kids the price on the food is very expensive

I didn’t get in!!! Lady at the door wasn’t really nice. I didn’t feel welcome at all. She actually look sad that we were there ! I want to take my son to a happy place ! Really bad attitude from the hostess ! I would never recomend that place !

It’s a nice little place. However, my first experience wasn’t so pleasant.
My husband and I took our 18 month old on a Saturday at about 6 pm. The place had a sign that it was closed for a private party. Since we saw that everyone was leaving, I asked if it was ok if we stayed. The ladies there agreed and we did. BIG MISTAKE! The people at the party were messy, somewhat rude and nasty. Their kids were all over the place without ANY adult supervision. I’m talking about little kids climbing on top of the tables, taking drinks out of the café’s stand, crying hysterically, etc. and I’m not the annoying mom who thinks everyone is a bad parent. At one point my husband said he would watch a little boy while his mom took the presents to the car, but she took forever to come back! Who leaves their kid with a complete stranger? Other moms where texting while the kids destroyed the place. And the worst part: A mom changed a dirty diaper on one of the children’s play areas, not in the bathroom where there is a changing table.
I really really really hope the staff cleans the play areas well! I can’t imagine what some parents do when no one is watching. Can you say «bacteria and viruses»??? :(I had to ask one of the ladies working there to please clean it.
Overall, it’s an ok place to enjoy some free time while your child burns a little energy! Just don’t stay if there’s a party and make sure you wash your child’s hands after… And yours.

I live 5 min away from this place, so it would be nice to come here with my toddler. But Gosh this place is sooooo freaking dirty!!! All toys, playground’s floor, everything inside the playground are super dirty! Common guys (manager) you charge 8 $ from kid and you can’t clean this place?! We’ve been there once and my toddler got sick after that! He got some virus (foot and mouth decease or something like that)…

A DON’T for birthday parties. The place is under new management and they have extremely poor customer service. Management is not clear on company policies and completely clueless on how to help a customer by supplying vendors, or facilitating décor. Their «show» vendors are AWFUL, and the staff although helpful have no clear direction of what to do. Unfortunately we won’t be going back.

Firstly a few points –The place is dirty, when you first walk in it smells amazing like vanilla but the longer I stayed I kept thinking it’s probably a cover up, you can tell the play area is not cleaned on a weekly or even bi weekly basis, the tables and chairs sure are clean but they’re also empty!
The whole time I just wanted to grab a vacuum and Clorox wipe everything in there
Dust bunnies on the window seal
Dust all over the play house roof
Plush toys were filthy
Sponge floor was dirty
— my pet peeve is broken, ripped, torn, worn out toys or toys with missing pieces or electronic toys with no batteries! What kind of message do u send the kids that it’s fine to break things or write all over the play houses
— they have cabinets for arts and craft things u have to ask employees to set up but no one is allowed to open the cupboards and drawers however they don’t have child locks so parents had to keep running to grab their curious youngsters which was hard to watch when the mom has 2+ kids with her.
— swing doors should have an easy hook but still prevent toddlers from roaming out every 5 seconds.
I absolutely love the idea of indoor play areas and the design of this place is very nice. I am a former preschool teacher and now mother of 2. This is right next to my house. But from the moment u walk in it’s plastered everywhere that supervision is the responsibility of the parent which is totally fine by me, I planned on that anyways however for them it’s totally not in their favor! The longer I stayed in the play area the more and more I found to write in this review! I don’t like writing negative reviews I actually feel really bad to do so for small local businesses but this has way to many no-no’s for a children’s place.
So I have a few suggestions for the owner as (I’m not sure how involved they are on a daily basis)
consider a few things:
— instead of having up to 4 employees on the clock chatting around the snack bar or the front desk (and sometimes leaving the front desk completely unattended despite the fact that really they have no other responsibilities) You can designate a few to be on the play area floor to supervise children and maybe offer parents a place to get some work done and take advantage of your café. Also Be in the play area to watch for crayons, chalk that kids sneak in, that I had to take out because it’s a choking hazard.
— the place needs major maintenance paint, cleaning, covering the exposed concrete edges, educational toys, decent kitchen play area, more things to actually play with.
–consider creating more interesting corners, kitchen corner, car garage, etc
designate an area only for the older children 3+ years because the majority is all for infants that don’t know any better.
— childproof the place more; add hooks on the swing doors, childproof the cabinets and drawers, a fence guard to keep kids from going upstairs. All this ultimately is to make parents comfortable and want to come back. I feel like the response I will get from this will be «everyone should supervise their own kid», especially in regards to the childproofing comment but honestly I was so worried about my 18month old running out the door or up the stairs or grabbing beverages that are in his arms length or open art cupboards that I felt like I took them to someone’s house to play! If you’re claiming to be an «upscale play place «as the manager wrote in a response to a previous review than upscale your actual service! Thank you.

Warning!!! Horrible experience at dealing with the staff.
I am very upset about this place. I went there once for two hours during raining day and my umbrella got stolen. I was a very nice $ 50 brand new umbrella and somebody just took it from the front. The most disappointing part is that it happened right in front of the security camera. I didn’t ask to refund me the money, the only thing that i asked was to check the video tape, because there were only three other people during that time on the playground. So they promised me to check and call back and it has been several weeks since and nothing has happened. I live close by and stopped by over every other day and the staff promises me that their manager in going to call me today. Lots of liars. I am asking to check the videotape, It shouldn’t be so hard. Also, the staff member left early, and the other staff member was late coming in, so there was nobody in for 20 minutes. I suggest finding different options for your child playground.

Life saver when visiting Florida and it is raining. Kid is having a great time and coffee is delicious!

We went to a birthday party here and have zero complaints. The toys and toy area were very clean. The workers were attentive to individual needs. He food was fine for kids food. Parking was annoying and confusing but free.

Celebre el cumple numero 2 de mi hijo en este lugar, todo quedo bello y espectacular tanto su dueña como su equipo de trabajo desde un principio atentos y cordiales, el día del evento me sentí super tranquila ya que las muchachas son un amor muy serviciales, de hecho al día siguiente recibí mensajes y llamadas de los padres invitados felicitandome ya que todo había quedado espectacular que la pasaron muy bien y que les encanto la comida que se sirvió. Todos los niñitos gozaron especialmente el mi bebe ya que el lugar se presta perfectamente para que lo adultos estén disfrutando en un area y los niños en otro cómodamente! …el area de juegos estaba super limpia, eso para mi es importante ya que soy maniática con ese tema!

They charge so much to enter and they don’t use any of the income to make that place better. The toys are all old, broken and gross. I don’t think they have ever deep cleaned that place. It is the only place in aventura that you can take your kids to play indoors and I refuse to go there. So disgusting.

So, I am a lazy reviewer, hence I only leave reviews when something is either fabulous or crapola. Peek-​a-​boo café would be the latter of the two.
First off, the staff act as if they are attendants at a funeral home and not a children’s play place. The place is also pretty yucky. The staff militantly walk around doing sock checks, but as for drool and nastiness (a child had clearly spit up milk all over several stuffed animals), was pretty abundant. It wasn’t as if the place was jamming, in fact, it was quite empty. There was no excuse for this.
Additionally, the beverages and snacks are absurdly over-​priced. I am all about splurging and I know that when you buy drinks at an indoor playground, you will pay a bit of a premium. In truth, I pay a lot less attention to price than I should, but $ 6 for a kid’s juice is excessive. Also, prices for items in the cooler case were not listed, and adding insult to injury was the fact that they charge a mandatory 18% gratuity. Whether they make anything for you or not, 18% is added. So after you buy several over-​priced juice boxes, they have the gall to take a generous tip. Maybe it states this in the menu, but when you take juices al a carte, they should let you know. I am a 20% average tipper, but this pissed me off.
I wanted to love this place, as it’s 5 minutes from my house, but alas, I was hugely disappointed. Just not worth it.

I loved the decoration, the guys at the café where nice, my baby had so much fun BUT after that day he got a mouth virus with herpes because all the toys where SUPER dirty and most of the big toys broken with for example a doll house with kitchen with no doors, dirty floor, hairs all over. My baby was happy because was the first time we went there and off course is a baby. We didn’t leave because we were coming from far and we ordered food which actually is very expensive. Coffee price extreme expensive, almost $ 9 for a frappé. They should clean the play area, clean every toys and make the play area door more secure. It does not have a look or nothing so every baby can escape and also organize the play room, I went there 11am and toys where all over the place with only one kid.
Good for babies 6 months to 2 years, because every toy was not for older kids.

Nice indoor playground for the little ones. The food is not good and it is way too crowded on a Saturday, but the playground is fun and a nice size. Also, admission of expensive– $ 8 is pretty high for a 7 month old who is going to last for about 30 min before she wants her bottle and a nap.
Tip: park in the garage since theres usually no parking directly behind the store.

One of the nicer indoor playgrounds in the area. My daughter liked it. I didn’t try the food. I just wish people would watch their rude kids. If you know your kid is bad then maybe you should watch him/​her. But, that is not the establishment’s fault, they are only getting 4 stars and not 5 because I asked the staff member at the door about the classes they offer and he told me he didn’t know and that I could go ask the owner who was sitting at one of the tables… Um, no, that’s ok, if you’re not interested in my business that’s fine. I’m not going to go stalk the owner.

My daughter loves coming here. It is a great concept and we come here a few times a month. The food is just «ok» and I wish there were more options for small toddlers. I do think $ 8 is a little steep for an admission fee. Some of the toys look dirty and would hope they would replace/​clean toys better. Overall this is one of my 9 month olds favorite places to come play.

the concept is great, but the execution is just terrible. they don’t have someone inside the play area to ensure all kids are following the rules. therefore, the place is constantly dirty, with food and drinks on the floor. the food is just terrible; even the plain croissant is disgusting.
the staff tries to be nice, but the service is just really slow, not to mention that 90% of the items they have on the menu aren’t available.

I don’t even know where to begin.
I have brought my toddlers to Peek-​a-​boo Café tree times and every time there has been something that makes me love it less and less.
The first time there was in the morning. There are only 4 parking spaces out front, if you want to park and they are full you have to go into the parking garage and choose from floors 3 and up. Peek-​a-​boo does validate parking. I personally am not a big fan of sleping my kids up and down a parking garage. After walking around to the front of the building because there was a sign on the door that said– Please use other door we found out that it is in fact the back door that is the right door. Anyways the place is gorgeous! Bravo to whomever designed it, the only flaw I saw was a cooler kept in the dining area that was at child height that had drinks in glass bottles. Admission is $ 10 for the first child $ 8 for a sibling. I paid additional $ 6 for socks, which everyone must wear if they are entering the play area. My daughter played while my son slept in car seat ($ 8 to watch my son sleep the whole time). My mother and I enjoyed a mediocre lunch. A turkey with Swiss sandwich and plain lays potato chips– $ 11. The food was disappointing for all the title they give their café «European Café». I returned at 7pm with my husband to show him the place because I was impressed. I was told by the lady working there that they close at 8pm. At 7:30 they began to clean up and made it clear they we needed to leave. As we were leaving I saw the owner loading groceries in and he didn’t even take notice that we were being made to leave 30 minutes early.
My second time there I the morning went well I napped my babies and returned around 5pm. I was told by the girl that there was no reentry, even though a week earlier I was able to and was not told this. So I already had my children in the establishment what am I going to do make them leave?! I asked for the owner because I find it unacceptable for $ 18 it is not all day play. I told the owner how I had been able to come the previous week after playing in the morning. She said «show me the girl that let you do that and I will fire her right now» I was shocked. Why so extreme? We are talking about a kids play place right? I didn’t come here to get some poor girl fired. BTW I did notice that they had a whole new staff than the one I had seen the week before (eek!) The owner did end up allowing us to play «this once» during our next half an hour there we received many dirty looks from her. On a final note I thought it was very rude of the owner to park her Ranger Rover in one of only 4 spots available in front of the building.
Here we go again. So after 6 months of not going to this establishment because of negative previous experiences I decided to go back. I called at 6:45PM to ask how late they were open. The young lady told me that they were open until 8PM. Then she said oh wait, we close early tonight 7:30PM. After another associate said something to her. The reason this upsets me is because when I was there before the staff was ushering us out at 7:30PM even though the sign said they were open until 8PM. I guess business my is not important to them. Or what I can see of other people’s reviews they really don’t care about anyones business just the money.

I speak solely for Peekaboo located in Aventura and for those that budgeting to some extent is a concern during the party planning process for your little one. I love my 2 year old son more than anything in this world and I believe that his party budget is quite generous (up to $ 1500) however, I do try where possible to save here and there. This location was beautiful but since the beginning I felt a money hungry vibe from both the owner and the manager and we were obviously not on the same page (as I was a mother trying to be resourceful to come extent). They so evidently would persuade me to the more expensive services and when I would try to suggest a better alternative that would save me a couple of bucks, they would not only turn it down on a basis on judgment (most likely because it wasn’t as profitable as other alternatives) but would make me feel bad (ex. The manager referred me to the menu online to plan for the adults menu for the party and I wanted pizza, soda and water for the adults which was on the menu that they had referred me to. Their response was «I don’t understand, only pizza?» which indirectly made me feel cheap. Of course, they turned it down based on judgement (not policies which referred me to this menu) because according to them, they «believe the menu is quite reasonable in price to choose other options». In other words, that’s not very profitable for them than a $ 3.50 per person pastry. Another example (and this was from the owner himself), I had asked the owner if the drinks can be limited since they were sold individually and that way I can control the quantity (since I can’t control the guests). The owner advised that yes but warned me that I would be the one looking bad, not them. Seriously? Please don’t misinterpret this opinion as a bad experience. This opinion is directly about the people that are running it. Of course, a business exists to make profit and I understand that but businesses design a party package to ensure that clients understand the services and limitations are clear. However, they were not honoring their party package policies and were rather making judgment calls depending on whether what I requested was VERY profitable or not to them (see examples above). I’ve never seen this in a business; I was very disappointed. I decided not to pursue my sons party in this location.
