Description

Specialties

P.O.P.‘s café stands for Pagano’s Other Place. The same Pagano family that operated Pagano’s in Bradley Beach for 25 years has brought their craft to Avon-by-the-Sea. Everything at P.O.P.‘s Café is homemade, from the bread we serve our sandwiches on, to the mouth-watering dressings we toss our salads with, to the gelato and sorbetto we serve on those hot summer days. Melissa (Pagano) Leech and her husband Kevin offer their take on classic American and Italian sandwiches and salads. When you come to P.O.P.‘s, you’ll find that we offer much more than normal café fare. Our baked goods are baked fresh every day.

Our motto is, «It’s the ingredients that matter, and the family that counts.» We hope that when you come to P.O.P.‘s Café, that you’ll feel more like a guest in our home, than a customer in a restaurant.

History

Established in 2008.

The Pagano family opened P.O.P.‘s Café in 2008 after operating Pagano’s Restaurant on Ocean Avenue in Bradley Beach for 25 years. Pagano’s closed in 2004 but its memory lives on here at P.O.P.‘s Café and our sister restaurant, Uva.

Meet the Manager

Kevin L.

Manager

Self trained «sandwich artisan» (I refuse to be called a chef). When my son Nino was born, I wanted to be closer to home, so I quit my job in Atlantic City, and took over here at P.O.P.‘s Café. I’ve been honing and expanding my skills ever since. I’ll be expanding on a project I started last summer, homemade gelato. Last summer I bought 4 flavors of gelato and made 2 myself. This summer I’ll be making all 6 flavors.
