Bob’s Place is an Affordable Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner late night Pub and HD Sprorts Bar in the center of Avon Colorado. Our homemade soups, salads, chilis and other menu items are recipes from 5 restaruants over the past 30 years. We serve everything from traditional breakfast egg entrees to Cheese Blintzes and Steak or Crab Benedicts. We have a wide variety of freshly ground burgers, chicken sandwiches, and mexican food for lunch. Our dinner menu has many of our lunch favorites as well as Steaks, Fried Chicken and Fajitas. Bob’s is the best place to watch your game on our 20 HD Plasma Displays and we have the most comprehensive sports packaging in the valley. During the summer months our garden patio is open with plenty of sun and shade. We are a friendly local hang out and our staff, management and owners look forward to meeting you. History

Established in 1992.

When Richard Nixon was in office and the computer and car phone were being born, Bob Doyle moved to Denver from New York to start a series of NY Style sub shops. In the late 70’s when Apple, and IBM were starting the computer generation he relocated to West Vail and opened a NY Style Deli with fresh Soups Salads and Deli Sandwiches. By the late 80’s when the first 256 laptops were released to the market, Bob opened The Jackalope, a southwestern style sports bar named after the ficticious animal. In 1992, Bob moved to Avon to open Bob’s Place and installed one of the first POS Computers to manage business. Much like the computer and the internet, Bob’s evolved & moved to it’s current location, went HD, and offered all the favorites from the previous 5 restaurants & more. Today Bob’s is found on your wireless computers/​phones, and just like the evolution of technology we look to move forward with innovation.

Business Owner

Bob attended West Point University, he moved to Denver in the mid 70’s and opened a series of Sub Sandwich Shops. Bob has been in the restaurant business for the past 40 years and has had a variety of restaurants during this tenure. Bob is well versed in the industry is always enlightening to talk to and usually knows of a hidden spot in your home town.
