We are all dog lovers here and have pets of our own, so we understand how worried you can be about leaving your pet with someone while you’re away, even if just for the day. We are a smaller facility as far as the number of dogs we can house, but have lots of space to play. Since we have fewer suites and a lower total capacity, we are able to provide each pup with the individualized love, care, and attention that they are used to receiving. A smaller facility also means a smaller staff, which makes it easy for dogs to become familiar with us, as they are seeing the same people every day. Our suites and indoor play area are climate controlled so we can play no matter what the weather is like outside. Your pet’s overall happiness and wellness is our top priority. Meet the Business Owner

John Paul O.

Business Owner

Growing up in York and working alongside his parents in Avon, John-​Paul has always had pets: dogs, cats, horses, maybe even a barn owl or two. His passion for working with animals was ignited when his father, John, passed away in 2010 and JP saw for himself the unique therapeutic effects that animals possess.

Studying at Texas A&M and SUNY Geneseo helped John Paul to shape an understanding of the business world and the importance of customer care. He then attended the Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming and became a NY State certified dog groomer in hopes of following his dreams of working with animals. John-​Paul then went on to become a professional animal trainer, attaining certification from the Karen Pryor Academy — KPA-​CTP.

With a vision that sees Christopher Robins Pet Care as the premier boarding, training and grooming facility in the Rochester area, JP’s​personal motto of «quality over quantity» has become a driving force for Christopher Robins Pet Care.
