Tried to go to the Avon O’Charley’s again tonight. Same story as last time — the host can’t keep the list straight, terrible service, dirty restrooms and poor management. Instead of correcting the problem it seems to get worse every time.

There are reasons why this restaurant has such low reviews. The management is extremely unprofessional(the worst is Jeff who is the GM) and the restaurant kitchen is filthy. I will not support this business, and I recommend you do not either.

Went to get the prime rib lovers special. It was great two prime rib dinners and appetizer for 28 dollars plus drinks and tax. We had fried green tomato’s they weren’t done the way I thought they would be. But tasted great. Prime rib very good for price. And good portions.

I’ve been to this restaurant many times during the winter cold days. Typically twice a week as their food is good for the price. You can get prime rib on the weekends for $ 13.99. I always eat at the bar, where the bartender(Emily) knows exactly what I like entrée and drink wise. Well I decided to go tonight and Emily wasn’t working. The bartender(Eric) was extremely busy, where i hollered at him if there was prime rib and he responded yes. Then he provided me a drink where the glass was half full. A little annoyed, I ordered my food and he comes back to tell me they did not have it. I’m more annoyed as I asked in the beginning before actually deciding to take a seat and stay where he said«of course we have prime rib still». Now that I’m settled with a drink in hand, I’m debating if I should just go elsewhere. I was hungry and stayed. The entrée I ordered was the sirloin which took 35 minutes to come out. I had to ask him for bread, as its a typical thing they offer. I got my bread the same time the entrée came. More annoyed, when I chomped into my steak, it was tough and chewy. This was the worse experience I had at this restaurant. It could be that they are incapable of decent service when they have actual customers now that the snow melted and people are coming out of their homes. I think if I ever decided to come again, if I did not see the server I liked and it was another person then I would turn around and head elsewhere. It just ruins your night when you get bad service, food, and your hungry. I recommend going across the street to BJs or next door to the steakhouse. There are plenty of restaurants within 20 feet of this place.

I guess it’s just a typical chain restaurant. Food was very mundane and the service was pitiful. This location is subpar compared to the other restaurants to choose from. Do yourself a favor and go to another restaurant in the area. There is definitely something lacking here.

The best part of our visit was our server Curtis. No one greeted is when we walked in. Two people behind welcome desk mumbled to each other booth or bar. We sat down in the bar and were greeted by a friendly server Curtis who took our drink order of two sweet teas. After returning with the teas we were notified us they were out of sugar. How does a restaurant run out of sugar??? We were brought something and told they were rolls, not even close to being rolls.(Picture taken) After placing our order, two salads, we waited for 20 minutes for their arrival. While waiting we looked around and noticed a broom and dustpan propped up against the bar right next to us, cleaning tags and bottles of cleaning spray on the bar next to pitchers of water, and two bar drinks sitting on the bar waiting for pick up for 20 min. Salads came out ok but they did not out weigh the poor experience. We will NOT be returning.

After years of not visiting an O’Charley’s, we’ve somehow ended up here a few times in the last month. Not that that’s a bad thing… This location was recently updated and things look nice. The layout is interesting, but not a big deal and I appreciate the clean look. Their food is still as good as I remember it being from a long(ish) time ago. The chicken tenders are crispy and delicious, and those rolls they bring out at the beginning nearly melt in your mouth. Plus you can’t beat free pie on Wednesdays! The service can be a little slow, but I also understand how hard it is when they’re packed. No big deal, but something to note. Otherwise, we’ve really enjoyed our recent regression to O’Charley’s chow. Plus, free pie!

My first time here left me wanting. Here are my notes. Service: When I have my wife(6 months pregnant) and daughter(just turned 1) with me, I typically get seated quickly. These guys nailed it. We got our name in and were seated within 5 minutes of entering(5:00 on a Wednesday). Our server wasn’t with us shortly, though. He took about 15 minutes to show up at our table, but the hostess paid close attention to us and brought us some rolls right away. Once our server found us, he was friendly but rushed. Not great but it wasn’t a terrible experience. Food: The table rolls were hot and sweet, and the honey butter that comes with are delish. I ordered the French Dip sandwich — good, packed with meat but I prefer the French dip at McAlister’s. My wife ordered the supposedly famous chicken tenders(which I stole from her). She says, «they tasted like someone heavily battered chicken but then left it out too long.» My take: grab chicken tenders from Hardee’s instead :-) But, cool thing coming at ya, Wednesday’s free pie Wednesday! We got to take home slices of French silk and apple pie for later. Score! Atmosphere: they were under construction, so I’ll go easy. There was a smoke detector with a low battery chirping the whole time… If I had a 9-volt on me I’d have taken care of that problem in a minute. tl;dr Overall, we had an awkward experience there with decent service, decent food and free pie. We may try it again(on a free pie Wednesday)!

Off to a horrible start and never improved. Arrived to a half empty restaurant and took 25 min to be seated. Thank goodness for a great waitress recognizing the challenges and doing her best to overcome.

I didn’t have a great experience here. I was part of a party of two, and they gave us a 5 – 10 minute wait and handed us a pager. I noticed a couple that had arrived after us were seated. I thought perhaps they arrived earlier and we’re waiting outside. Then I saw a couple come in and put in their name, and after about 5 minutes they were seated, so I asked what the deal was. They had just marked ours out and we were holding a worthless pager. They sat us immediately and there were just so many open tables. The service was fine, but the food wasn’t the best. I ordered a steak, cooked medium. It came out medium well, which isn’t unexpected, but it looked like it had sat on one side for a long time because one side was totally burnt. Our waiter wasn’t around much after we received the food, which was kind of annoying because it was bad enough to send back and I’m not usually that worried about it. Another thing is I remember when I had gone to O’Charleys in the past, my favorite was the rolls and potato soup. The rolls are different now-tougher. Not bad, but not as good as before. The potato soup still rocks, thought the potatoes were a little tough. Wouldn’t recommend this location based on this experience.

My son and I went to O’Charley’s this afternoon for a quick lunch. This was something to be honest I thought I would never do again after a horrible experience with O’Charley’s in Clarksville, TN.(FILTHY restaurant((saw a mouse)) and horrid service) I’m glad that we gave this chain another shot. This location must either be new or has been recently updated. It is super clean. Like most of you a clean restaurant is very important to us. This is by no means a high end experience but it was welcoming enough for a chain restaurant. Service was prompt, helpful and courteous. We let our server know that we needed to get out quickly and she made sure we were taken care of quickly. In fact she made it a point to thank us for coming in when we were getting up to leave. Little things like that make me feel good. The hostess was a little sweet heart too. On to the food. My son ordered a six ounce sirloin off the dinner menu paired with a Cesar salad and sweet potato fries. He ordered his steak medium rare. I believe the hostess is the one who ran the food out and she asked him to cut into it. It came out medium.(medium rare has a warm red center and medium is pink through out) He said he didn’t care though because it wasn’t dried out and the flavor was good. He really liked the fries too. He thought that the salad was dressed a little to heavy but he liked the flavor. I ordered the lunch chicken pot pie and the poblano chowder. The server offered to bring my soup out with my son’s salad so I did that.(She let me know the lunch portion usually comes out together but I could have it early if I wanted.) I LOVED that chowder. The flavors were on point and the texture was velvety. My son sampled it as well and loved it. I am no authority on pot pie. In fact I think the last time I had one I was a young kid and it came out of the frozen food section. I’m so glad I ordered it. The crust was very good and the pie portion was delicious. It had a wonderful savory flavor and texture was spot on. I will say that our family is usually not big on chain restaurants. This was a good experience though. We will come back and ask for the same server. Clean restaurant, good service and good food.

Stopped in as we were on business trip 2nd time at this location and we were not shocked at the crappy service we were getting as that’s what we got before but this time a Manager named Dan took care of us and made our 2nd visit enjoyable. YES we will be back and he assured us they are working on service and will continue to improve. Thanks Dan

The waitress tonight is not very good. She is busy but has forgotten us several times. I had to go up to the bar and get my beer. The food is still great. I love the loaded potato soup. Wish the service was better.

My boyfriend and I went to this location for lunch before he had to go to work. It took a while to be greeted, In fact we gave our whole order all at once. Our drinks took forever and our app. Never came :(we got our food which seemed to take the normal amount of time. The food was pretty good! Our server disappeared after we received our food, thankfully a manager was walking around and got us our drink refills, while she was getting us drinks I saw our server at the same drink station getting herself a drink lol… Overall the food was good! Service was nothing to brag about!

We just visited the restaurant today, which led me to create this Unilocal account. The restaurant cleanliness hasn’t changed in four years. We visited four years ago to find extremely dirty blinds and grime-y everything. We returned today with a gift card, only to leave the restaurant after we noticed fleas were jumping on us. We obviously left the restaurant came home, and called the health department after removing every article of clothing outside our home. The blinds were in the same condition, covered in food, dust, and an oily appearing film. I couldn’t stay and talk to the manager, due to fear of taking those nasty fleas home with me. The only positive aspect of the restaurant, was that the server was friendly. We won’t be returning to the restaurant. Unfortunately this $ 25 gift certificate will likely go to waste since I wouldn’t send anyone to the restaurant.

Very disappointed. Place was not busy at all. Seated right away. Brandon was supposed to be our server but he never appeared. After 10 minutes of browsing the menu, we never was acknowledged, not offered any rolls or have anyone apologize for the lack of service. After deciding to leave, we approached the hostess stand in which was empty, and waited for 2 minutes to complain and ask for a manager. Hostess never showed as she was talking to the bartender. Once again, very disappointed at the lack of service or care. This night did not even deserve a rating but Unilocal requires one so…

I am probably brain-washed from having once worked for this chain, but man, do I crave their food sometimes. Gave into this craving when they recently sent a coupon in the mail [love excuses to eat out, haha, ok it was also my birthday so we had lots of good excuses.] We had a brief wait even though it was a weeknight, this surprised me but I think the unusually nice weather brought out a lot of people to this area for shopping so it was unexpectedly busy and they weren’t staffed for it. Sat down and looked over all the foods I was craving, decided to go big and get some steak and chicken fingers, mmm, both are usually very good although my steak was a little overcooked but I was too lazy and hungry to ask for a re-do. I also got some of their potato soup which is always delicious. Our server was clearly busy but kept up with us as well as she could bringing us refills and rolls when we had a chance, she was super friendly. She heard me mention my birthday and made sure I got a slice of birthday pie to go [my choice of flavor!] since she knew I was too full to eat it there. She even offered us to-go drinks without us asking. Nice. We left full and happy. I came close to ordering the black n’ bleu Caesar salad which is sooo good so I will probably be back for this soon when I give into my O’Charley’s craving again, we also still have a second coupon to use!

Not a bad spot to stop and grab a drink. Monday, Thursday and Friday are beer nights. Tuesday wine night and Wednesday is vodka night. Most specials are $ 3! There is also a happy hour menu from 4 – 7 and 9-close. The service can be a bit slow but the manager will normally walk around and make sure everything is ok. Sit at the bar for quicker more personable experience. If you are lucky enough to get a survey it’s worth taking because you can get a free appetizer! Over all don’t go in expecting the world and you will be just fine. Best items — French dip, Prime Rib Pasta, Cowboy Sirloin.

We have been coming to this O’Charley’s since we moved to Indiana in 2010. The bar staff is attentive and very friendly. Management is very responsive to customer concerns and feedback. We particularly enjoy a few of their dishes: the bruschetta chicken(healthy!), bayou tilapia, and prime rib pasta. Their salmon is very good too. To be fair, we always sit in the bar area and are not familiar with the dining area service.
