Imagine Elementary Avondale

This is my son’s second year attending this school. I really feel like my son gets a TOP education at this school. Yes pick up and drop off are a little frustrating but if you just follow the rules and instructions by the staff outside it is easy to get drop off and pick up done quickly. My son went to kinder and is now in 1^st grade there, and anytime he has even fallen a little behind they step it up and give him extra tutoring. My son also attends after care and let me tell you I was pretty scared at first for him. BUT he LOVES it! The ladies that run the after care program are flat AMAZING. Even on the days I can pick up my son on time he insists on staying at least a few hours. My son is very shy by nature and is not usually an outgoing child but in after care he dances, does his homework, and builds legos with his friends. He is ALWAYS happy when I pick him up. No matter how far away I move I will always request a transfer down to this school because he LOVES it!

My daughters love this school and their teachers. I’m only giving the review three stars because of the pick up and drop off process. The school needs a bigger lot to alleviate the stress on the parents when dropping and picking up their children. I dislike having to wait long periods of time to drop my daughters off especially when parents are having a full fledge conversations instead of letting the child out of the car. Now they have volunteer parents managing the lot. I dread dropping off my kids every single day. There is no where to park to avoid the line because the teachers park in the school lot.
