History

Established in 1986.

In 1986 husband and wife team Jean & Christine Coutu decided the only way they could be sure that customers were dealt with properly would be to personally oversee everything from beginning to end. That is when they started Century Carpet. They started out working out of their home, with Jean doing all the installations. They have continued to grow, and move locations over the years. Today they own a Storefront & building on Main Street in Ayer MA. They have 6 employees, and over 7 installation crews (One of which is headed by their oldest son Brian). Century Carpet has a great team, that is focused on customer satisfaction. They offers the sales & installation of all types of flooring, tile backsplashes, tile shower stalls, & counter tops. Key Staff :

Husband and wife team Jean & Christine Coutu are the founders and owners of Century Carpet. The ones who had the vision of what a flooring company should be.

Andrea Greco is Jean and Christine’s right hand. She has been with the company for well over 10 years. She is why Century Carpet is able to function as well as it does.

Katie O’Halloran is the our friendly sales person, as well as office assistant. She is another key person in our staff.

Brian Coutu is the oldest son of Jean & Christine. After years of tagging along with dad (and other installers), he leads his own installation crew.

Chris Straitiff is our hardwood specialist, with years of sales and installation experience.

Century has other installers, and employees, and they all are assets to our company. All are chosen by Jean & Christine, and have the same desire to make every customer a happy one.
