We’ve been here a few times now & the food has always been flavorful & authentic tasting. Good beans & rice had good flavor & cooked well. Now as for the server she was very nice, attentive, sociable & talkative which made our exiperance more pleasant. My Tacos dorados(chicken) were really good in size, moist chicken and good flavor. The salsa had mild bite it was there spiciest with great flavor. We did have to order Cosido«to go» in order to reach the $ 20 min & I’ll assume it’s good as well, I’ll write bout it if not. Being from Azusa & all the other Mexican restaurants, Jessie’s holds it’s own. We will return & recommend, o ya hopefully room temp has been addressed in the summer.

If I’ve ever had a better meal elsewhere I cannot recall. This was the tastiest, most delicious Mexican restaurant I’ve ever enjoyed. It’s not the biggest place but from the first bite to the last: Delicious, through and through.

I’m Jerry Avalos I am very proud to inform you as a potential customer of this place .that it is top notch. small place. the ambiance is very Mexican the service is good but most of all the food is extremely delicious and you’re not limited as to what you’re craving example some restaurants don’t serve. Cosido… Posole or authentic seafood soup excetera you can find everything you want here to satisfy the craving of your taste buds once again the food is excellent from 1 to 10 I give it a 10 the bathroom is really clean service is good oh and not to mention if you have to wait a little bit for tortillas it’s well worth the wait they offer handmade tortillas and also authentic freshly cut and served Salsa. that’s why I give this place a 5 star rating do I recommended .yes highly. I have made this place my regular place for my wife and I to come and eat. their breakfast is excellent their lunches are great and so is our dinner and they’re available all the time I suggest you try them out. your local food critic. Decided to give this place a try again, hoping it had improved. The food was good, the service was much better! Our server’s name was Olga, she was very helpful and checked on us regularly. A big improvement over the last few visits!!!

Visited Jessie’s for the first time today. It was pretty dead and dark so I wasn’t sure if they were open. Found a table myself and someone brought menus. All with no greeting or acknowledgement or nothing. Food was ok, ceviche tostadas were really good. But the vegetarian burrito I ordered was full of the most random vegetables I’ve seen. Potatoes, carrots, various squash, and yellow rice. Overall very starchy. It would have been nice to have tried more than one salsa but our server disappeared after dropping off our food. Probably won’t go back.

Friendly service. Food is awesome. I really enjoy their mariscos and mecheladas. Wait times can lag during busy hours since sometimes they only have one cool on duty. But over all a great experience at an affordable price.

My boyfriend and I love coming here for a few reasons. The good 1) breakfast here is absolutely delicious, tastes fresh and homemade 2) prices are amazing! 5 bucks for a chilaquiles plate! The bad: 1) its a tiny place, feels like you’re entering someone’s house, not a restaurant 2) it can get pretty noisy …other than that it’s a pretty good hole in the wall

The stars are based on expectations met, yes? This is a little old restaurant that has withstood the test of time. It’s so quaintly dingy, well-worn, but clean. The food is authentic and fresh. It is very affordable; for the price of a McSomething, you can have food that tastes like someone’s Mom made it for you. That means something to me. It’s obvious that they care about the food.

Do not sit under the TV. It feels like everyone is staring at you while you’re eating. Besides, ya gotta be nuts to sit there. They blast it so loud, that even when we’re sitting at the other side of this small restaurant our ears were hurting. And it’s got a screwball entrance with a jailhouse looking screen door on it. You come in and you’re just wondering where to go, My brother’s steak was a dry thin piece of flavorless burnt cow leather. The runny refried beans helped make it somewhat soft… but OMgosh the gas from him, made me want to walk home. My wet fish burrito consisted of a crispy hard piece of kinda burnt fish in a bed of sauce that tasted tragically like someone’s leftover toxic waste… not that I’ve tasted toxic waste before. But then again, after this meal, maybe I’ll be florescent green at night. Place: 3 stars Dark and dingy Food: 2 stars burnt and dry Condiments: 2 stars not the greatest Price: 2 stars overpriced for burnt dry food Service: 3 stars They disappear after your food is delivered Ambience: 3 stars Wagonwheels everywhere.

My friend took me here and I always wanted to try it. It’s soooo delicious and authentic! No gringos and that’s a good sign. When ypu see to many it means it’s Americanized. U had the combo of a shredded beef enchilada, a taco(your choice of meet) and a Chile relleno, beans and rice. So good. The best Michelada I ever had. My friend’s coktel was delicious too!

A group of 8 of us came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning, we had no problem getting seated. I ordered my favorite Mexican breakfast which is always Huevos a la Mexicana. My order was really good, but I would have liked my chili more spicy. Everyone was happy with their orders.

Small little hole in the wall restaurant. I’m very picky when it comes to menudo and this place makes it pretty good, thats usually what I order. The birria is okay and the chilaquiles I would not recommend. They make hand made tortillas and fresh squeezed orange juice which is a plus!

Went to this joint the other day. Ordered a carne asada burrito. They served it with a small salad with I guess what was thousand island dressing, but it actually had so little taste because the dressing was so watered down. It was actually not good. The burrito was alright, but not really that impressive and had a lot more beans in it than meat. Was 4.99 for the burrito and 1.30 for a can of soda. The waitress didn’t say a word to me at first. I’m not sure if she just didn’t like me or didn’t want to speak English or what. I know she spoke English because she came back and asked ‘is everything okay?’. There were only 2 of us in the place at the peak time of lunch, so that doesn’t say very much for the place. I’m not in a hurry to go back really. Food and service not impressive and there are plenty of other places better in the area.

Michael W and I wound up here yesterday afternoon, for one major reason — the place next door was closed! Nevertheless, we found cheap food, good tacos, and decent, but not great service. We were given a bowl of chips and a surprisingly mild salsa, and as we ordered, our both was strafed by a single fly which I gracefully squished without Michael even noticing it. After that I ordered three tacos; asada, al pastor($ 1.25) each and a camanes, taco for $ 2.99/ These were served up the traditional way with double corn tacos and topped with cilantro and raw onion. They were hot off the grill and topped with more meat than the taco could hold. I would have to say the al pastor and the camarones were the best, and the asada was a bit on the dry side. Nothing serious mind you, but I think-next time, I might skip the asada and order something else off the menu.

So I had checked out the reviews before I came here and it has a 4.5 avg Star rating so they must be able to do some good tacos… My Wife and I both had the«TACO Special» 4 Tacos + Soda for $ 4.99, I ordered 2– Carne Asada, 1– Al Pastor y 1-Carnitas, they start you off with chips & salsa, the chips were pretty good but the salsa was horrible I asked if they had any other salsa and the waitress said YES a hotter one!, OK bring it on… YES this is a much better salsa, and this is what we used to put on top of the tacos since it came with NO salsa. Carne Asada had NO flavor at all… Al Pastor than the Asada but really not that good. Carnitas not the best I’ve had but was good and definitely saved them from 2-Stars not sure what the buzz about this place is but if a Mexican food restaurant can’t do basic Tacos?! well you know what I think of that!
