Rolling Rice

Rolling Rice has the best salmon bowls! It’s an awesome option if you want something healthy, delicious and quick. I’ve always had great customer service here! Totally recommend it if you want good food fast!

You get what you pay for??? Um yea lets not apply that concept to sushi or any food for that matter! If I pay $ 1 for food I expect something good in $ 1 worth size! Look you can even buy $ 1 worth of gold you just won’t get very much! So if you want something and it turns out disgusting is it worth any price? I mean if something is completely in edible is it worth what you paid? Or is it worth nothing at all? Ok so read the reviews. This place is bad! Like very bad! Maybe if your absolutely starving and there’s a line out the door of all the other restaurants in the shopping center (I guarantee this place won’t have anybody inside) then I guess if your choice is between starvation or some of their chicken and rice then we’ll I’d say don’t die but don’t expect much!

I’ve only ordered sushi from here so I cant comment on other dishes but give this place a try.

Wouldnt say its the cleanest because I always take an avacado roll with brown rice nothing else the man always had a smile on so I cant complain takes a little long but my experienece being in and out is fine. Don’t think ill stay and eat in like others looking from comments.

They merinate the chicken in mt. dew, this is advertised as a healthy choice. Nothing you can buy at this restraunt is remotely healthy. I worked here when they first opened and I know first hand the ingredients are always the cheapest they can find. Good luck to any regulars eating here.

I ordered a chicken teriyaki and tempura place.
Teriyaki sauce was overly sweet, the tempura dipping sauce just tasted like salty ponzu sauce.
Not impressed, not happy, will not be coming back, even if I haven’t eaten the whole day.

I guess you get what you pay for. Except I was overcharged because the waitress did not understand my order. She fixed it. Then brought out exactly what I did not order. She then said, do you want her to make it over again? Yes! I do! I want what I paid for. At this point I was annoyed and really hungry. The rainbow roll had brown avocado in it which I picked off, and the cuber salad was sweet and soggy.
I won’t visit this place again.

I had the beef teriyaki & tempura. It was good. It satisfied my pregnancy craving. :) Close to APU. Restaurant is super clean.

Disappointed, not worth coming, way over priced especially for the sad portions they serve, even smaller when you order take out and beware the salad is not drenched in dressing but water.

I was a huge fan of this specific location for the longest time. I recently went back after not going for awhile, and I know they recently were under «new management» but I don’t know what happened. I was just sitting there and I noticed about 20 – 30 fly’s just hanging out on the window above the doorway. Not only is that pretty disgusting but it seriously made me not wanna eat my food.
The quality of the food has gone downhill. And not to mention the service. I think when someone says «Thank you» and or Thanks, have a good night” you’re supposed to reply back? But that’s just me. The only reason I come to this Rolling Rice is because it’s much closer to where I live than the one near San Dimas. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location again.

This place serves decent sushi, but it is not the best place. The owner, is, I think, an older asian guy. He is always polite and greets customers. My experiences here have been mixed, however.
I always order the salmon bowl, and sometimes I get a lot of salmon, other times, only about four pieces. I have to ask for extra vegetables, because if I do not, then I will only get about two or three pieces.
One time I ordered the Pokey salad to go, and it was disgusting. The entire salad was drenched with dressing and it tasted awful. The lettuce was watery and disgusting. It was a definite waste of money.
Their sushi is okay. I just wish it was bigger.
All in all, I feel like going here is a waste of my money. The quality of food needs to be better and the serving portions need to stay consistent.

Just bought a to go order for 47 $ and I’m beyond pissed the food was horrible! The tempura taste like plastic and the salad was old looking. The chicken was completely burnt. The only good thing was the miso soup! I will never return to rolling rice.

My teens and I love this place. Always fresh, always good. Love the double crunch rolls and California rolls. Friendly service always.

Despite people saying that this is fast food sushi, there is no reason to serve disgusting food to people. I used to go to this Rolling Rice location before it was taken over by new management and I can say two things: 1) the prices were affordable and worth the sushi served 2) When you received your sushi, you didn’t get a tiny corner of wasabi and 1 piece of ginger with your order. Who the hell eats a tiny hangnail piece of wasabi and one piece of ginger on their sushi?
Also, my meal came with a meso soup. These twats sent me home with some cold broth. I was so pissed as I spent almost 40.00 on sushi at this place only to be severely irritated and upset when I got home. Don’t waste your time on this place. Fast food burgers are better than getting fast food, falling apart crap from this hole.

It’s fast food sushi. Period. I think my review was stated in my first sentence. Not really much more to say other than that. Bewildered how people can form such detailed critiques off fast food sushi. Did I mention it’s fast food sushi?

There is a big sign at storefront said «UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT»…
Unless it changes to «UNDER NEW COOK AND RECEIPT»

Ordered a Beef Teriyaki and Tempura combo, I thought it was a safe bet… no way I would order rolls or sushi here…
the beef teriyaki was very salty and weird meat quality. (even worse than those meat you can see at Magnolia BBQ)
The rest part of the food was alright. Restaurant itself is very clean and looks new.
The worst part was, I suffered drowsiness even after 5 hours and my whole evening was wasted by ROLLING RICE. Thank you, you are stronger than any sleeping pill.

I wasn’t expecting legit restaurant sushi quality, but I wasn’t expecting mall food court quality either. Rolling Rice is a little hole-​in-​the-​wall joint that’s very clean and plain, and it’s probably a staple in the diet of APU students.
I’m not impressed. I ordered some sort of «dragon» roll, the kind with slivers of avocado and eel. It took FOREVER. Like 15 – 20 minutes, and the only excuse for that would be some sort of presentation, which it lacked. The eel sauce itself was also terribly salty. I usually can’t get enough of the stuff, and this is the first time I’ve been displeased with the topping. Not good. Additionally, places like these will usually have more imported drink variety than just green tea.
So there’s nothing I can say that makes this place does special or well. I ate my entire meal, but I can’t say I’d be excited to try this place again.
