well, I just went from a big fan to will never buy anything from this place again… all in one day. I ordered a salad and had delivery, was very excited to try their delivery option and when it got here, I jumped in. I had a bite and the cranberry tasted differently. Turns out, it’s a cherry… well I’m allergic to cherries. I call up to ask if it’s possible they gave me cherries instead of cranberries and casually she said yes, it’s possible, they’re next to each other and they look similar. I told her I was allergic and she said I should have told them. She didn’t apologize for making the mistake or offer to refund my money or give me another salad. Instead she said that I should have told them that I have allergies. Why would I tell you that I have allergies when I didn’t order anything I’m allergic to. They provided me the wrong item and should have been more empathetic to the situation. I wouldn’t be writing this message if this was handled differently, I paid $ 11 for a salad, $ 5 for a tip to the delivery person and cannot eat my salad because they messed it up and gave me something that I’m allergic to. However, according to the woman on the phone, it’s my fault that I didn’t tell them I have food allergies. This is very much in alignment with the poor reviews that Jackeline’s patisserie received from other Unilocal reviewers. Same place, they just changed the name so it represents salads. Bottom line: unprofessional, rude and do not take accountability. I was going often and will not go again because of this experience.
