Our customers come from near and far, Bainbridge, Seattle, Port Angeles, Everett, Tacoma and points in-between. Proprietor Jeff Groman, National team mechanic Paul Johnson and former pro bike racer Gavin O’Grady have over 75 years combined experience. We work hard to turn around repairs, even in 3 days or less especially in the summer months. Our mission is to have satisfied customers enjoy riding their bikes whether they are beginners to the sport, serious riders or every day bike commuters. We have a full time fit specialist on staff ready to help you ride pain free and enjoy your rides even more.

History

Established in 1985.

Jeff’s roots in cycling go back to the Brennan Cycle Shop in Irvington, N.J. and Martys reliable cycle in Morristown N.J. Jeff and his wife Els opened their first shop in 1985 as the world famous Sack’s Feed & Cycle in Kingston, WA. Imagine a cycle shop right in the middle of the chicken and gardening supplies… it was a legend in the making. By 1990, sick and tired of picking hay out of the chain rings, Jeff moved the cycle shop across the street in Kingston and named it «Classic Cycle». As the business became more successful they expanded the shop by opening a second location on Bainbridge Island.

A packrat by nature, Jeff’s interests in old stuff having to do with bicycles has elevated him to archivist and historian in the world of cycle racing and cycle collecting. The new location proved to be a perfect home to share his collection of famous racing bikes and ephemera with the public. In 2007 he produced a book and DVD called «The Six-day bicycle races»
