Jerry’s Auto Rebuild

Excellent service! Jerry’s was extremely efficient with scheduling an appointment and getting the work done to replace our bumper. We dropped the car off on a Wednesday and had it back the next afternoon! They were really easy to work with and our car left looking brand new!

tree branch fell on car, took it in, and it was repaired… nearly new car, somehow, they «found» another body panel dented… which of course is not in any photos I have :) nor did it exist prior… basically means it was damaged in their shop, but it was insurance claim so I tried not to worry about it…
Car came home, seemed fine, it was an extra car, so it sat for 6 months hardly driven, but little did I know, the roof (which was repaired) was leaking the entire time it sat, mold inside, 10″ of standing water in the rear… so I cleaned it out, took it back to them, and also noted the new rattles and sounds… so all that was taken care of…(I think) but now the moon roof will not really open without some pushing… on a $ 40k, 2 year old car… oh boy.

I was really apprehensive about the shop after reading their only Unilocal review. My experience was quite the opposite with them. Not only did they get the work done in record time because I was in a major hurry to use my SUV for Christmas vacation, but they used OEM parts even though the insurance paying for the parts doesn’t pay for OEM.
To top it all off I had a couple of very minor issues I noticed on the car after i got it back and had been driving it for a few weeks. They took it back in no questions asked, got the things fixed in less than 2 hrs, and even washed my car before handing it back over.
I can’t explain to you how fast and easy the whole process was, and how honest these guys were. I would definitely recommend them to anybody who asked!

My wife took our car to Jerry’s Auto Rebuild body shop, for some minor body repair after someone backed into her in a parking lot.
After 2 weeks with the car at Jerry’s Auto Rebuild on Bainbridge, we received the car back with more problems than when the car was dropped off and with poor quality body finish work.
The radio and the clock, and turn signals didn’t work and the water for windshield washers sprayed away from the car at not on the windshield. In addition, the quality of body work is questionable as they didn’t properly prep the car, they painted over chips leaving dimples in the paint and the paint color does not match! They put in a new taillight for $ 1,100 and it is filling up with water.
We took the car back to the shop the following day to show them the issues and a technician tried to convince us that there was a possible serious electrical issue with the car (that just magically appeared while in their possession) and would cost thousands of dollars to repair.
We left fuming with aggravation. Later that day, we received a call from Keith Mabrey, the owner of Jerry’s Auto Rebuild. After speaking with Keith, we agreed to bring the car back again and he would address all of the issues personally.
After a week, we called and they said the car had been ready for days just sitting there… nobody bothered to call? Well… because, it turns out… they never completed the corrective work.
We picked up the car and although the electrical issue had been resolved they failed to address the poor paint match and finish work and the rear taillight is still full of water. I asked to speak with the owner Keith, as he promised to take care of everything… the girl said he lives in Idaho and is not here that often! I was shocked because Keith failed to mention that to me when he promised to personally take care of our car.
After multiple phone messages to the owner Keith’s cell phone and shop phone numbers over weeks, had gone unanswered, I called my credit card company to request reversal of charges. It wasn’t I until we filed a claim with the credit card company that we got a response from Keith at Jerry’s Auto Rebuild.
UPDATE– Months later, the car developed the measles… hundreds of little pimple –like dots started to appear at the locations where Jerry’s Auto had put on new paint! Of course no help from Jerry’s Auto, We took the car to Metro Auto Rebuild in Seattle and they did a fantastic job correcting Jerry’s Auto’s poor quality workmanship…

Keith Mabrey is an absentee owner, he is not manning the shop and it is poorly managed. There is no oversight on quality of work and Keith will tell you what you want to hear to pacify the situation and in my case, he never owned up to making the car right. I will never use that shop again and would not recommend it to anyone.
