Specialties
I provide professional birth doula services and massage for families in Kitsap County. If you are an expectant mother in Bainbridge Island, Poulsbo, Bremerton, Silverdale, Kingston, Port Townsend, Port Orchard or any of the surrounding communities, I am available to provide doula services for your pregnancy and labor. I am also able to attend births in the greater Seattle area.
I use a deep tissue, relaxation style massage specialized to treat chronic pain and tension. I like to encorporate Trigger Point, Lomi Lomi and Myofascial techniques. My focus involves treating each person as an individual and gearing the massage towards meeting the specific needs. I work on both pregnant and non pregnant women.
I am available for massage on Saturdays on Bainbridge Island and I am certified perinatal massage therapist.
History
Established in 2008.
After moving to Poulsbo in 2008 I created Peninsula Birth and Bodywork.
Since then I have served many families as a massage therapist and doula.
Peninsula Birth and Bodywork is located in the Bainbridge Health

Meet the Business Owner
Jen W.
Business Owner
My pathway into healthcare began in 1995 when I completed the Herbalist Certification course at Highline Community College. In 2001 I graduated from Ashmead School of Massage and became a certified Prenatal/Postpartum Massage Therapist. I spent 7 years working at a wonderful women’s bathhouse in Seattle as an LMP. Working with pregnant women and watching their bodies grow sparked my interest in the birthing process. I read Ina Maes Spiritual Midwifery and decided birth was the place for me. I attended Seattle Midwifery Schools Doula Program in 2003 and started attending births as a volunteer at UW Hospital. I also assisted with the childbirth education classes at the hospital. Since moving to Kitsap in 2008 I have been a doula and childbirth educator at Peacock Family Services on Bainbridge Island. I reside in Poulsbo with my husband, 3 children and wiener dog. In my spare time I like to weave, sew and make soap.
