Rock Rent-A-Car

While Rock Rent-​A-​Car is the only rental car option out of Bainbridge, it’s also a great small business. I was looking for a way to shorten the trip between Seattle and Port Townsend and was very excited to find that Rock Rent-​A-​Car existed within walking distance of the Bainbridge ferry terminal. Their setup is lo-​fi without any sort of web-​based sign up system, but Jon is quick to respond and get you set up and on your way. On our trip home, we discovered that my boyfriend had left his driver’s license in the rental car and Jon was kind enough to ship the ID free of cost back to San Francisco. Great customer service :)

Rock Rent A Car was amazing. They picked us up right at the ferry and had all of the paperwork ready and we took our car right from there. When it was time to return it, Jon met us in the same place at the ferry terminal and we dropped the car off. It was the easiest and fastest car rental I have ever done. The car we rented (a Ford Fusion Hybrid) got great gas mileage it was great, for a Ford. ;-) Other than the free delivery of the car, I also loved the fact that they offer flat pricing and didn’t have all kinds of extra fees and charges. The price they quoted over the phone included everything. Thanks again Rock!

ROCK Rental Car is a great, small business and I was very pleased with the process! Unlike most companies, they offer a four-​hour rental which for my needs perfectly.
John arrived with the car when I arrived at the ferry terminal, and dropped it there. Upon my return, he met me at the terminal and the keys changed hands. It was a seamless, very reasonably priced experience. The car was new, clean and well-​maintained, proof that they are a serious, dedicated small business.

JON SAVED THE DAY! My new car is having issues and what not. Long story but its in the shop and Dodge refuses to give me a rental car until they know exactly what is wrong with my vehicle. They have had it since Tuesday and we don’t expect to get an answer until Saturday or Monday. My insurance company does not have my back. So its in the middle of the night, our other car has to be in Seattle first thing in the morning and no one is able to give me a ride to work in the morning. Taxi is out of the question because of the unreliability on Bainbridge and no buses go to Kingston. Jon answered his phone at midnight, took my information, and he was at my door the next morning with a rental car at 9am and only needed my signature and was able to take payment right on the spot. I have never experienced customer service like that in my entire life. The car is spotless and drives great. I’m in awe at how today was saved by Rock Rent a Car.

Rock Rent A Car provides a needed service for both locals and visitors. Reasonable and pleasant people, policies, location (right by the ferry) and rates.
