Don’t go in expecting world class bbq. The pulled pork tasted and had the texture of cafeteria bbq. The food was not served hot. The Brunswick stew had English peas in it. We won’t be back.

So dang good! Stopped in on our way back to NEGA, and glad we did! The chicken fingers appeared to be freshly battered, and my husband’s pulled pork plate was great!

Good news for the locals! You get preferential treatment and get to skip ahead of other people in line in front of you if theyre from out of town… especially if you have a big order too. Ive received bad service in the past, but to be blatantly asked to step aside for another customer, thats a new one for me. So much for Southern Hospitality! Didnt even get to try the food — and never will now!

The BBQ pork was delicious however, I was disappointed with the BBQ salad. Basically it was a plate of unchopped lettuce with a few slices of tomatoes and a styrofoam cup of BBQ(I have never developed a taste for styrofoam). I love brunswick stew and ordered a side for $ 1.99. I was insulted when a cup no bigger than a shot glass was delivered to the table. I stewed over the stew until I could not take it any more and went to the counter to ask for my money back. They honored my request without question.

Terrific lunch experience today. Always like to try a new bbq joint when I can. Boyd’s exceeded my expectations on all aspects. Stood in line to order and enjoyed a visit with a regular who informed me I was in for some good food. Sweet girl at the register regretted to tell me they had run out of ribs and brisket. I got a chicken and pork combo with stew. I was happy when the sweet girl showed up with my order and a helping of brisket because they weren’t out after all. That is the kind of service that brings folks back. Brisket was some of the best I’ve had outside of Texas. Pulled pork was good stuff. Stew was tasty too. My chicken is in a to go box cause I couldn’t hold any more now. Good food. Great Folks! I’ll be back next time I’m in the area.

Order at the cash register and they will bring your food to you. I got the pork sandwich and drowned it in their tasty vinegar based BBQ sauce at the table. It was exactly what I was looking for, and the fresh, homemade potato chips were the perfect lunch side. Overall, this was a nice, clean, enjoyable stop. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Pretty good lunch spot. I had the smoked turkey, it was served cold, but still a good sandwich. A plus is that each sandwich is made to order and served to your table. I different take on fast food. From the looks of the walls this place is frequented by Jason Aldean as well. Good lunch spot!

Boyd’s used to be the best. I never liked their«chopped pork» because it looks like it was processed in a food processor and has the texture of baby food. But the ribs are good, and the staff is friendly.
