Most amazing samosas ever! The chutney is so good you could eat it by itself. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, with amazing dipping sauce! Be prepared to bring cash, they do not accept cards.

Unfortunately they no longer offer the vegetarian buffet. Bummer. The do still sell fresh sweets. This is also a good place to buy naan bread.

The place was pretty small so it looked like their items were unorganized but I really do like going there. My mom loves their sweets way too much.

Had the most authentic Indian food in town. Everything is delicious. Absolutely loved the vegetarian buffet here when they offered it, not quite sure if they still do that maybe at a specific time now but loved it while it lasted. This place definitely one-ups Taj Mahal in terms of taste in my humble opinion but comes in last for ambiance — or lack there of… It’s non-existent. Overall: Perfect Take-Out spot. I’m hooked.

I haven’t grocery shopped here but I have had their lunch buffet. This place is very authentic and offers a very inexpensive and delicious vegetarian buffet. The food is on the spicy side so I don’t recommend bringing the kiddos unless they can be satisfied by their deliciously fragrant rice. In addition to the buffet, I usually order a samosa and a few squares of barfi(not offered in the buffet). The samosas are perfectly fried, not soggy with oil, and the candies are not overly sweet. Perfection!

I did a quick Unilocal for cheaper indian food and found this. This place is a little market which happens to have the best samosas ever! I tryed them and the green curry I believe, too my suprise it was super good! The red sauce that came with it was also really good. They only serve vegetarian food. Will be back for more.

I have been coming here for groceries and snacks/food for more than a decade. My favorite snack is their chaat, which is a combination of puri, potatoes and chickpeas in a yogurt and chutney sauce. Different people will add different amounts of chili, so specify how much you can handle. They have a variety of Indian sweets and snacks, all are delicious! Appearence and ambience are not the priorities here but if you can bypass that, then you’ll get enjoy their delicacies

Just love this place. Hands down the best samosas in town. I always get the channa samosa with a sweet lassi and some barfi for dessert. Delicious affordable and there is always a bollywood hit being played on the TV. Can’t say enough good things about this place. You ever had a meal so good you want to do a full on Bollywood number with costume changes and elaborate choreography? Yeah. That’s how good this is.

I came in for just some spices. I was eager and asked about their lunch menu, at that same time was lunch… so… this will be my first time for Indian food. I gave them a 5 for the flavor. The smell of a thousand senses at one time. I ordered this type of tortilla made with potatoes mixed with chili’s. I forgot the name sorry. But im trying the samosas next round for sure. Im still sweating from the heat. Very nice people!

My husband and I went on a Paneer crusade this afternoon in Bakersfield because we desperately wanted to cook up some Palak Paneer from scratch for dinner… After striking out at two other ethnic grocery stores we finally stumbled across All India Sweets & Grocery which had three different choices of paneer and a bunch of other Indian and Commonwealth cooking staples!!! SCORE! We’ll definitely have to stop by at another time to try out some of the amazing sweets on display.

The best! So affordable, authentic, ownership is SO kind and patient and helpful! They have everything from quick easy snacks, desserts, and full meals. All of which they take time to package efficiently so no spill in the car. This place is so fast and easy and ALWAYS satisfying. They have a variety of groceries that instantly satisfies any recipe I’m craving at home. Chickpea flour, an assortment of produce and spices, the only thing they are missing is mango fruiteee’s! Thank you guys for helping me pack on the pounds and reminisce of my time in India… I LOVETHISPLACE

Came here to get some more yummy samosas that my coworker brought to work one morning. My memory of samosas was pretty bad… so when I had the ones from here my opinion completely changed. I love them! When you first walk in you’ll indefinitely smell the various Indian spices and see the few selections of fresh veggies. They do showcase a variety of Indian sweets. I ordered a few pieces just to try… and wow. they are way too sweet for my liking. The clerk said they are made mainly of milk, sugar, bisquik, and flour. Not my personal favorites but I am definitely a fan of the samosas here. You can get a glimpse of the chefs working away in the back and it makes me enjoy then that much more. If you aren’t going to get anything at least get one samosa… its only 70 cents each! :)

Open til 730 pm :-D. I thought they were closed when my boyfriend and I drove by at 8 pm. I got lucky, after getting my eyebrows waxed, to have noticed cars parked in the area and to see it was open =D. Loved, loved, loved the food options! They offer a parking spot right in front of the store. Once inside you will immediately notice their fresh produce/cooler(down right the roots and some yummy turmeric!), up front and stretching to the left was a counter with sweets/dried fruit/seeds inside, their grocery section to the left side of the store and behind the produce display to your right is a sitting area for their buffet style lunch. Walk pass the produce display, between the food counter and the end of the produce/cooler wall and you will see a small hot bar with lids. The hot bar has vegetarian dishes and may vary, please feel free to ask the friendly owners, and have the occasional meat dish. I tried their yummy food and everything i had was absolutely delicious and only 5.99! The rice, although in a hot bar, is not over dry at all and compliments all of the other side dishes. The Indian dishes showcase the amazing food you can create with the spices available in the store! You also get some tasty bread to accompany your meal. If you like, you can also order some samosas for only 1.70. PLEASEGETONE, they are absolutely amazing! I like their tamarind sauce but i wish it was more like the one from Zaika’s, but I cannot complain on the flavor of the samosa, its absolutely amazing! If you don’t get anything else, please just get the samosa, you’ll love yourself for it and maybe thank me =P.

Driving back from Los Angeles to our home in San Francisco, after meeting my guru, His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, we made an arbit fuel stop at a small town called Bakersfield in Central California. Right by this gas station was All India Sweets and Groceries and my curiosity knew no bounds — an Indian store in the middle of nowhere?! So we find ourselves in the store. It’s a little past lunch time and we are hungry. There is a tiny buffet at the far end of the store. The food is simple but delicious and so authentic, that I am transported back to India. What we had chanced upon here was a page in history where in the early 20th century many Indian farmers had migrated from India in search of farm work and settled in this small town as it reminded them of their villages in Northern India, in the state of Punjab. The climate, fertile soil and its simple small town people were all reminiscent of a world they had left behind. Here, they sought to recreate their world. The owner of the store Mr Vinod Kamboj, who migrated from India 20 years ago has run this store for the past 13 years. Come here because you love all things India and true to its name it will deliver. Yes it makes the best punjabi food outside of india, like the highway dhaabas of india.

This is the ONLY indian food place I go to when I’m back home in bakersfield! I always always get Chana Samosa with the sweet red sauce! and it’s so cheap! But, everytime I go back home the prices always seem to have gone up. Damn economy! Still, this place never gets old and I always enjoy the smell when I enter it!
