My dryer stopped heating up — never fun! After trying a couple of other leads, I called Bob’s Appliance(now goes by All Brand) based on a referral from a co-worker. Bob answered the phone. Told me he could repair my dryer and would call me when he was ready to head to my home. Within a couple of hours, Bob called me and said he was heading to my house. Once there, he diagnosed my problem and had it fixed within 15 minutes time. Bob was courteous, friendly and professional. And for a modest and reasonable repair fee, I have my trusty Maytag dryer working again. I recommend Bob and All Brand Repair for any appliance repair job.

More than once, they answer the phone«Hello» which drives me insane. When you run a business, you should always say the name of your business at the very least, so the customer doesn’t have to ask, «Is this Bob’s Appliance repair?» The first time I called about my broken washer, they assured me that someone would be there that day at 4pm. Never showed. The next day I called and the guy forgot to dispatch someone to my house. Repairman, who was very nice, finally showed up and informed me that I needed a very costly motor and needed to pay half of the bill upfront. Then he promised to put the order in. After a week I called them back to inquire about my motor. The guy says, «Let me give you a call back and I will find out.» They never called so I called them again. He says, «Oh yeah, I should have called you. Your motor is on back-order.» 2 weeks later, I call again… No one has answered the phone all day! Its a Monday, by the way. Finally, around 3:30pm someone answers«Hello.»(ugh) I ask if my motor has arrived and he says he will call back. Still no call back and again, they aren’t answering their phone. I have had a broken washer for almost a month now and these people act like they could care less. I’m not blaming a back order on them. That happens and I understand. But these people refuse to communicate with their customers! Definitely never calling back once I get this fixed(if ever). One star for now… If I get my washer fixed I may bump it to two stars since the repair guy, who is the son of Bob, is very nice. The office is useless. Update: Still only doing one star. The result was that I found the motor myself, ordered it from Urners and had it in my hands in two days(If I were a business, I would call more than one parts company if a part were on back order). I called Bobs and they politely gave me back my money(they did make an effort because they were on vacation for the week). I looked up the repair on YouTube and did the repair myself, saving about $ 150. Should have done this to begin with, instead of waiting a month for other people to take care of things. Lesson learned.

Wonderful Customer Service! Great Rates! Skilled and Knowledgeable! Woke up this weekend with what we felt would be a family crisis if we did not address it immediately. Our washer had stopped working and that’s just not going to cut it in our household. What to do? Buy a new one!?! The logistics of having to do that on a weekend made me cringe. So we called Bob’s Appliance Service and asked if they were making house calls on weekends. The customer service representative replied by saying they would be able to respond on the same day, and they did. Chuck, their representative, arrived ready and prepared to conquer any task. He diagnosed the problem, had all the necessary replacement parts in his well stocked truck, and had our washer working in no time. He showed us the broken part and explained what may have caused the problem in order to avoid having this happen again. We are VERYHAPPY with BOB’S APPLIANCEREPAIR /ALL BRANDREPAIR! They are true professionals in their field! We highly recommend their services!

10 years ago we were new to Bakersfield so we relied on well trusted locals for their«go-to» guys. Bob’s was recommended and has done all our personal appliance work as well as on call work at our rentals. They’re now OUR go-to guy! Prices are competitive and now that we’re long term customers, prices are a bit better. Service is usually prompt but they get swamped now and then, no wonder… they’re good.

Stay the heck away! Most unprofessional business I’ve dealt with! After a 10 minute initial phone call, which 8 minutes was spent repetitively spelling my simple Italian street name, my service call was scheduled for the following Monday, this was mid afternoon on Friday I called. Monday comes and goes, no repairman and no call. I call back Tuesday morning, the same guy answers and says he got the address wrong! Should’ve know then to just hang up… He apologized and we scheduled for«the first call on Wednesday morning,» not happy, but need my washer fixed. Wednesday morning comes and goes. Given them a call, again, same guy says he would have call me back with a time for their service man to arrive. They never showed, or called back! I called another company and they came the next morning, as promised.

Our Whirpool washer went kaput this morning. I called Bob’s(I think they now call themselves All Brand Repair) mid morning, being it was the closest to our house. I was told the repair person would come by in the afternoon. He came in assessed the problem and departed to get the part. He was back in 40 minutes and got the problem fixed. The repair person was very tidy. Overall, happy with this repair.
