Cruz Thru Express

I’ve been using Cruz Thru for a few years. This location is probably the best out of the handful I’ve been to. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Periodically they run a buy 5, get 5 free car washes that is a great deal. That always makes for a popular little gift. Vacuums are great at this location also.
This location does get a bit congested after around 4 and on the weekends, so if you can get an early start, it’s recommended. Great way to get your car washed and cleaned up if your in a time crunch. The $ 1 vent fresheners make your car smell good but they last less than a week. I recommend Cruz Thru.

Quick and easy to access. They seem to be trying to find their way with coupons. This latest visit ⁴⁄₂₀₁₆ they gave me a coupon for 50% off my next Lava wash within 7 days. The coupon before that was less. They have a decent sized vacuuming area. Bring your own wipe down rags. It felt like they boosted their power to vacuums, because they pick up better and faster.

We have a monthly membership and can visit as often as we want. For the most part it does a decent job and we usually don’t have to wait for the vacuum cleaners.

Came in on Valentines day — expecting it to be busy. It was busy. Both lanes full but wait wasn’t long at all. I was in and out in maybe 5 min.

Sat in queue to get the car washed. Something messed up with the equipment so we had to sit and wait. I was OK with that. After about seven minutes the car wash was repaired. Once we went through my car was still dirty. Mind you it wasn’t that dirty to start with. So when I asked for a rag to clean my own car the nice lady at the front asked if I wanted to go through again. By this time the line was long and I had just waited already. So after paying $ 13 I had to wait and get out and clean my own car. I will not be coming back here again. Customer retention was non existent. I DO NOT recommend this place.

Great car wash with really professional and friendly employees. You can tell customer service is a top priority with little add ins like window cartoons the free suckers and free coffee to their patrons. Van left squeaky clean inside and out.

From all the Cruz thru’s in town this one is my least favorite. We currently have a membership so we tend to go to Cruz thru often. A few times we have gone to this location and there was soap still not washed off from my car. I haven’t encountered this issue from the other Cruz thru’s. Other than that, the membership is great. You can go wash your car as many times as you like if you are a member and you pay a flat fee monthly.

So far from all the Cruz thru’s in Bakersfield this one is my least favorite. Not so much the workers because the workers are great, but why is it that each time I wash my car here there’s still soap everywhere on my car. As I was going through the wash I realized that one of the scrubbers on the right side of my vehicle did not even touch my car. I guess I can’t complain too much as I pay a membership fee to wash my car as many times as I like, but the problem is… I only wanted to wash it once. Hope they can fix this as I recommend their other locations.

Drive-​thru car washes are HORRIBLE for cars. They scratch paint and basically are the worst way imaginable to clean cars. Don’t trust me, just Google it!
BUT, for drive-​thru car washes, Cruz Thru is the clear winner. My car is clean and the service is friendly. My only complaint is that the rinse cycle at this location is too quick and still leaves soap on your car and the blowers are not good at all and leave your car dripping wet. Don’t believe the claim that your car will dry without spots – it will. Plus, the back of your car where the bumper is will have all kinds of water stains unless you wipe it dry since the blowers completely neglect that area.

I always get the Lava wash for $ 12. Its fast and reasonably priced.
This place gets busy especially during the summer. The best time to come is probably early in the morning. The wait is never so bad though. Enter the far left lane if you want to purchase their merchandise (towels, car smelly clip thing, etc).
They offer a free car wash but you have to come back within 2 – 3 days to redeem it. this works out well if you’re leaving town on Friday for the weekend and come back with a dirty car ready to be washed.
I don’t mind that it’s self service because if I forget to bring cash, I don’t have to worry and feel guilty for not tipping.

I went in for a rewash after buying their Lava wash the manager Adrian said it was expired 1 Day I explained to him why I didn’t make it in yesterday because it rained. He was a complete jerk about it and acted like he didn’t care and just wanted to go to the next car. I will not go back to this Cruz thru ever again and if you do I just hope u don’t get stuck with Adrian. He showed very poor understanding of Professionalism and customer care.

I bought a pass online. You would buy 5 washes and get 2 free. Not a bad deal when you can get 7 regular wash for $ 30. The place here has 2 lines for non-​members and a member drive thru line. When you get to the front, a guy directs you to drive to where he wants you to stop, then you put your car in neutral and it does everything itself. When you exit, you drive to get your carpet vacuum, and anything else you like to do to your car. Everything is self service.

I disagree the customer service at the Gosford location isn’t all that great! When they are way busy and you go through the kava wash nor the brushes come down for a complete wash — when I ask if I could just go through for a lava wash a few days after due to this situation I was told «well you should of called us right away «we can’t do that for you but you can pay more money for an upgrade
Really? Do you know how many people I would if praised your place about if I would of been satisfied? Well not now I won’t be back at that location

Get the Club membership. You will not be disappointed. Usually no one in the membership line and 10’s of cars in the regular line. Takes no more than 5 minutes to wash your car if you don’t vacuum. My only gripe is the Cruz Thru on Panama is the only location with the automatic floor mat cleaner. They need to put at all their locations. That thing is awesome.

Great Customer Service!
I went to the Cruz through car wash on Gosford Road in Bakersfield last Monday 2÷16÷2015 at 8am to get my car washed. This time my tailgate was down and when the girl working the car was tried to close the tailgate she broke my tail light (Passenger side). After the Car Wash she tried to defend the company and not take blame, however once the issue got to upper management that same day I got not just one but two calls from two different managers asking a few questions and once it was established what happened the mad arrangements with the local dealership to have it replace right away.
Within 24 hours my taillight was replaced at no cost to me. I am very happy with the level of customer service I received from both Cruz through car wash and motor city GMC

I am not from the area but go to Bakersfield often, it is nice to get of the freeway and wash off all the dirt and bugs that get on the windshield driving there, this wash is quick and reasonably priced, enough vacuums to serve every car that gets in.
I recommend it for a quick shine if you do not want to spend too much time and money.

Going to any of the Cruz Thru Express locations around town is so convenient and affordable.
The lines go by quickly. The employees do a fine job.
The exterior of the car is usually clean. When it is not quite clean enough, I just go back in line. No charge for going through that second time. Have never needed a three-​peat.
For the interior, I just drive to one of their parking spots. Grab a vacuum and clean away.
Just wish they had free towels for drying the car. Otherwise, everything else about Cruz-​Thru Express is good.

With all the new additions to Cruz Thru, I had to update my review.
In addition to the clean and perky staff, they now have themed music, colorful suds, and sound effects. They even take your photo at the end of the car wash where you can upload for free on their website. How fun is that?!
Twice I’ve taken out of town guests here. Not on purpose, of course (I’m not that desperate for entertainment) and they loved it! Plus you get a free photo at the end!
Word of advice, don’t do anything lewd to the camera, especially if you are in a company vehicle. They can, and they HAVE, contacted employers regarding bad behavior.

If Bakersfield knows how to do one thing right, it’s definitely car washes. Seriously, no other city I’ve come across in California compares and here’s why:
–It’s $ 5 for a basic wash
–Free Vacuums
–They spray this sort of bug spray on your car’s front winshield and bumper
–It’s fast!
–They give you a free plastic small trash bag to hang from your blinker (love that!)
–They have great hours and are popping up all over town
–Cruise in and cruise out and be done with your wash. The locations are great for this easy access.
Gone are the days when you wait 30+ minutes for workers to wash and dry your car while you sit outside in the Bakersfield heat. Also gone are the days when people wash their own cars. I did the other day in 100 degree plus weather and I almost got heat stroke. I had to come inside every 10 minutes or so to get something to drink and cool off. The $ 5 to wash your car is worth EVERY penny. Believe me!

Do yourself a favor — purchase the monthly unlimited wash package. You will get a sticker on your windshield that allows you to bypass the line (we have our own lane that rushes us right through without having to wait with those who must interact with the staff.) The staff members are very nice during my once a year trip in the slow line to renew my membership, though.
The car wash is quick (you ‘cruz right thru’ LOL) and thorough. If you feel your car was not as clean as it could be you are allowed to make a second trip through for free, though I never have.
There are free vacuums available for your use to clean out the inside of your car, but other than that you need not leave your car during the washing process — a big bonus if you have kids in the car.
I drive a dark colored car, so during the summer the interior is pretty hot when I get into it. Now that I am on the unlimited wash plan I leave 5 minutes early and get my car washed on my way to where I am going. It lowers the interior and exterior temperature of my car quickly, making it much more comfortable. My air conditioner blows cooler after I have been through the wash, too. My external temperature display will go down anywhere from 10 to 15 degrees within 5 minutes of leaving the car wash!
I am a big fan — inexpensive and convenient!
