El Tejon Pharmacy

No way will I give a five star rating. You ask me at drop off if I want to wait for scripts and I say no I’ll come back just to make sure they get done. Not only are they not done prior authorization and insurance approval is required. Why couldn’t you call me and tell me this!!! Normally not a big deal but my physician talked you guys up and convinced me to try you out. Yeah I don’t think so it’s the little things that are important to me.

I LOVE this pharmacy.
I’ve since moved across town and El Tejon is no longer convenient. But, with their free delivery, I’m seriously considering a move back. Especially now that Vons has done away with their (previously) awesome rewards program.
El Tejon isn’t a grocery store. They aren’t a big box store. They don’t carry ice cream and diapers, lip-​gloss and chocolate bars. What they do carry is pharmaceutical items (some OTC, most not) with a big dose of friendly service.
The turnaround was always pretty quick, but more importantly they were accurate. Never did I have billing errors, or the incorrect medication. They were meticulous about these things, and happy to solve any problems should they arise.
The local delivery option is a life saver. Picking up a prescription may seem like no big deal, but when there’s soccer practice, piano lessons, dog grooming, tutoring and all the other added items to most people’s live, a simple service like this means the world.
El Tejon has been around since 1928 — obviously, they know what they’re doing.

Wow! First time that I actually leave a pharmacy not feeling frustrated and or having wasted my time! The pharmacy location itself is very convenient. The inside looks modern and up to date and is super clean. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous, getting me and my prescription in & out in about 15 minutes. That’s about how long it takes at the big chain pharmacies to JUST drop off my prescription! The pharmacist handed me the medicine and asked if I had any questions or concerns. They will also deliver your prescriptions free of charge. They have a 24 hour refill line which can also be done via their website. I was a little hesitant to use this pharmacy since their hours are Monday-​Friday 9am-​6pm, but since they deliver, I won’t have to worry about rushing over to pick up my items.

El Tejon provides excellent customer service. I appreciate having the option calling in my prescription and having it delivered by their courier or via mail. Yes, they will mail your prescription! The folks are friendly and seem to like their jobs. Also, when we needed an expensive piece of medical equipment, El Tejon sold us the equipment and billed our insurance for the item while Walgreens wanted us to pay first. It saved us the hassle of wrangling with the insurance company over a reimbursement.

Best pharmacy I’ve used in town. Everyone is personable and very nice feels like a small town pharmacy in a town full of CVS and Walgreens!
