If you are looking for a GREAT mechanic, look no further! Mark at European Performance Automotive is the BEST around. I just moved to the city in October and was searching around town for a reliable mechanic to work on my BMW 750Li. Well I found him, Mark, he is an honest mechanic who will tell you exactly what’s wrong with your car and won’t try to cheat you in any way by adding stuff on that does not need to be done and will also not over price you. His prices are fair and his work is thorough and quick. Whenever I have had to take my car in I’m usually in and out. Thank you Mark for all your honest service and hard work. 5 stars no doubt!

Mark has always helped me out. This is the only place I will take my BMW. The reasons I do not go anywhere is because of the quality of their work and trusting in them to do the job right. Like I said there is no other place I would take my car.

I read the Unilocal reviews for this business and knew I had to try it out. The dealerships in Bakersfield have horrible customer service, specifically, BMW. They are rude and unprofessional there. I was hoping to have a different experience upon coming here. I started out with a phone call. Right away, I was happy with the level of customer service via telephone. Mark was pleasant, knowledgeable, and worked around my schedule. The level of superior customer service continued when I took my car in a few days later to have the brakes changed. The computer said my front and back brakes were very close to needing to be replaced. I asked him to replace both the front and rear brakes after he explained to me that I still had about a thousand miles left to drive on my current brakes before it was absolutely necessary to change them. Upon further inspection, he found out I only needed to change out my rear brakes. BMW didn’t reset the sensor last time they worked on my car. My front brakes were still in great working condition. He could have easily made more money on this job and changed out more than was necessary, but he was very professional and honest with me. He only charged me for the necessary maintenance, which was great news to me since it saved me money. Females are often overcharged for car related maintenance and repairs. I know this would never be the case here. I give this business my highest recommendation. If you want quality customer service and superior work on your beautiful European car, look nowhere else but European Performance Automotive!

Mark is just the best. I’ve been told by many people that finding a good mechanic is half the battle of getting a car, I lucked out and found myself a GREAT mechanic. He’s straight forward, honest, and super kind. I dont know anything about cars and I never feel belittled for my lack of knowledge, not only that but he is super timely with all the work he does. The shop is a bit difficult to reach by phone sometimes, but he’s always there to answer questions or concerns. I’ll rest easy knowing I won’t ever have to seek out another mechanic.

A year and a half ago my previous mechanics recommended European Performance Auto. It has been wonderful !! Mark was been personable, knowledgeable and always honest.
I agree mechanics make you feel stupid or try to intimidate you when you bring in cars with «funny» noises. BUT Mark always made me feel valid in my concerns and never talked down to me. He would explain things a couple of times if necessary for me to understand.
And he was always willing to take a «look» to see if there was anything wrong.
I would recommend him to anyone needing automotive work.

I just went to business without an appointment and he got me in immediately, solved the problem and got me on my way. Superb service and extremely knowledgable! I recently purchased a CLK55 AMG used from Northern California. I took it to this shop to make sure everything was straight and working correctly. They not only checked my car, but also made recommendations on improving it’s reliability. They also fixxed a radiator problem that I didn’t even notice because of a hairline fracture in the radiator for a lot less than the dealership would have. I am also well versed in mechanics, as I used to work on BMW’s and other European cars. I’ve taken vehicles to both BMW and Mercedes dealerships, however European Performance Automotive technicians seem to be more knowledgeable as well as skilled, not to mention courteous in their workmanship. I would actually pay MORE for this shop to work on my car than what the dealerships charge because of the quality of their work. I would not hesitate to recommend this shop to my closest friends and relatives, of which I do.

Extremely reasonably priced and Mark only suggests the necessary repairs when they are really needed. He is extremely responsive, available, and quick! My car is very special to me and I trust Mark to take good care of it.

Very nice! Reasonably priced! Couldn’t fix the issue & get into my trunk but didn’t charge me and referred me to someone who could solve my complex issue. The office was very clean as well.

I am so impressed. Mark who owns this place is very knowledgeable and very honest. The AC of my car was not working properly. He put freon did at test drive and did not even charge me any thing because it did not take him long to do that. You take ur car to local dealer and they charge you am arm and a leg. I will always go to Mark now, because I know how much other people were asking to fix the problem. When it comes to European cars it do hard to find some one like Mark.

For the past 3 months I have been trying to put into words just what Robert (The owner of European Performance Auto) has done for me in my life. He did not just fix my car (Z4 BMW Convertible) for a great price (Under half of what the other 4 shops were asking) but because of his great work and how much money he saved me, has provided me with the resources needed to get out of a dark hole and get life back up and running. Life is going well now and soon enough, be better the then ever. Robert s the only person that didn’t try to screw me, but also provided greater service then what I even paid for. I’m a DIY kind of guy. So when my non-​M SMG 3-​series was experiencing shifting issues due to a leaky slave cylinder. I did my research, fixed the leak, but I had no access to the diagnostic tools needed to get this SMG system bled. After calling, I towed my car over to Mark (great guy/​owner) and he fix the issue for half of what the dealership was quoting me. Would recommend this place to anyone.

I recently purchased a BMW and needed some repairs. I usually try to repair my own cars and thought I was in over my head was trying to repair a steering wobble I was sure I needed a new rack and pinion unit so I took it in to Mark at European Performance Automotive for repair. He called me with good news I didn’t need a new rack and he recommended replacing the lower control arms. He was right and saved me a ton of money. Since then I’ve been back for other repairs and feel that I have finally found a honest, knowledgeable and professional shop and I will definitely be back. It’s a BMW after all!
