I was browsing their athletic shoe selection and found new balance pink & grey 1080 V5 running shoe. They are light flexible, supportive and fashionable. I get complements all the time. But most important of all they are modern and comfortable. I’m a Doctor of chiropractic and I value having a solid support during the day, I’m not tired after 8 hours of work on my feet with a walk at lunch. If your feet hurt this is the place to go. They have a great selection of good shoes and a friendly knowledgeable staff. I wasn’t put off by the prices, because good shoes aren’t cheap shoes. I found their prices in line with what they are selling.

Uniquely Bakersfield and family owned for four generations, I was greeted and seated to get my exact foot measurements. Shoes and purses galore, I was inspired to get 2 pairs of shoes for my hard-​to-​fit feet, with matching purses and polish too! Sarah was a great style consultant, as she’s also the store buyer. Just bought the most expensive shoes I have ever owned from Bakersfield’s oldest shoe store, and in my opinion it is also the best. Selection is great, always something on sale, and they will order anything you want by any shoe maker. There is a back story here, as my first job at age 21 was for Guarantee Shoe Center, over 55 years ago. It was only to be a two week job, but the saleman «Jewlie» did not heal from an operation as fast as they thought. So I ended up with over a month, gathering people skills, The time with this family owned business taught me the it is true that «The Customer is Always Right.» and that women sure do like to «try» on shoes. Guarantee Shoe Center has such a Friendly atmosphere. They are up to date with the latest styles and trends. Please be sure to check them and ask for Frankie he was super nice hot and helpful. ;)

This place was the only place in town that carried the specific model number work boot I prefer to wear and I had originally bought my first two pairs here without shopping around since I liked the boot so well. That’s the reason they get the first star. It appeared that They have a good selection of quality shoes. Star number two. When you walk in, it’s kinda like walking onto a car sales lot. The sales persons are there to help u immediately, which is good, but seem over eager to sale you a pair rather than wanting to help you. Enter my sales person Evelyn, an older lady who was eager to escort me to my boot section and introduce herself with a forced and insincere smile. I told her I loved the boot and was so glad they still have it. I told her my exact size, 10 EW and she was off. I waited with my two year old daughter a few minutes and Evelyn had a couple boxes and asked if I saw any other boots I liked. No, this is the boot for me. With that she have me the first boot size 10.5 ew. I said no bueno and she said“it’s just a quarter inch difference”. Size matters to most other women, and in this case, my foot wasn’t happy either. Then, she gives me a 10 m. I tried it on but I need a 10 wide. I asked her when she will be getting other sizes in and she said” whenever they come in”. Then she began hovering over me to give her back the boot. I then asked if she knew of anyone else in town who sold the brand wolverine and she grabbed the boot, began walking away with her back to me and snively said NO, I don’t. Exit the lovely Evelyn without a goodbye, or single other acknowledgment of my or my daughters existence since I wouldn’t buy a pair of boots that were not my size or another pair I wasn’t interested in. I thought it was just the lovely Evelyn, but I told my wife the story and she said the same type of thing happened to her with a make sales man who got offended when she asked if they knew of any other place selling a brand of nursing shoes. I looked all over town with no luck on the exact model, but boot barn carried the brand with a lovely authentic kind sales lady as well as Emporium and Work World with very nice helpful staff, even after I didn’t buy wrong sized boots. I’m all for supporting out local stores, but this place is bad news. To top it off, these crooks were selling the boot for 198.00 which I thought was fair, and I found it online at multiple retailers for 129.00. That’s a $ 70 for snobby insincere help. Please go to Boot Barn, Emporium or Work World. I «Guarantee» this is both the most expensive place and the employees at those other locations are in check and treat customers well.

This store has the best work boots hands down, I’ve been buying my boots here for years. Friendly workers, excellent choices, don’t go anywhere else! Check them out you won’t be disappointed !

Guarantee has a great selection of comfortable and occasionally fashionable shoes. If you have to stand all day at your job, this is the place to go. The selection isn’t huge, but it’s a good variety. Plus, the lady who waited on us the last time says the owner picks brands he thinks the customers will like. We bought these beautiful boots that were apparently a small brand out of Europe that you probably couldn’t find anywhere else. And, as far as boots are concerned they were reasonably priced too! We liked them so much, we bought them in black and brown. I’ve already received tons of compliments on them!
The workers there are so delightful to chat with as well! Really a stand up, local, fantastic business!

Large selection, good prices, and extremely prompt and polite staff. Whether you want a pair of shoes for the opera, the office, or just kickin’ around, they have it.
