My favorite place! I can find anything here for a great price. The sales are amazing. I have text alerts. Costumes, apparel and lots of furniture. Everything is in good shape. I love the redone furniture. The vintage aged look is in and I know I will find it here. Great customer service.

In search of a dress for my friend, I was given really high expectations of In Your Wildest Dreams before coming to this place. A coworker suggested me to come here to look for a formal gown since she had much success here finding an affordable dress for her daughter. I came here in search of any gown that would be a size 12 particularly, but I found that it was very confusing looking through the racks. I was finding a variety of dresses with a variety of prices as well, and some dresses ranged from $ 35 to over $ 150 which shocked me. The ridiculously priced dresses were designer, but they were designers that I’ve never heard of. After inspecting the tags, a lot of the dresses seemed to be outdated. Since I visited this place in October, their whole back room was filled with Halloween costumes which excited me. Anything I liked seemed to be way overpriced for a used item. Half of the items here can probably be found at a Goodwill or Salvation Army with a lot of effort. I expected to see a lot more stylish gently used clothing, but I ended up finding a lot of overpriced and outdated clothing. I do not plan on returning ever.

Bought a stunning dining room table and chairs for 800 dollars. Quality pieces… worth so much more than the modest price. Excellent service.

This store has it all — hats, belts, shoes, clothing of all sorts, framed art, furniture, dolls, collectible Barbies, china, wedding dresses! You name it!
Staff are really personable. The clothing is a lot more quality-​evident than say, Value Village. They choose what they accept from the public.
The store is massive and has a LOT of stuff however clean and thoughtfully laid out.
Leave enough time to go downstairs AND upstairs to browse.
All the Halloween goodies are out so make this your place to come and find that perfect costume!
Prices are a little higher than I have seen at other consignment stores but again, the quality is there for most items and it is right downtown across from the Padre Hotel.
There is a clearance room and a «gown» room.

Let’s be honest. Most of us have expensive tastes, but when it comes to a budget most of us ladies have to also live realistically, that is unless we love extravagant spending, while live in the poor house. I’ve always wondered why women who afford these luxuries toss such nice looking things out from their closets, because I hold onto things for decades. No really, I do! I’m not joking. I have a Diane Furstenberg dress from the 1970’s! That dress in my closet, and I purchased it at this store years ago… smooth as butter! so why the heck did I find a $ 200 pair of Italian made Isabella Fiore heels for only $ 8 and a and a pair of $ 150 Steve Madden Heels in size 10 today for only $ 18?
I find it hard to believe that there are so many name brands here for the taking at ridiculously low prices. I mean, please don’t raise your pricing, this is the only way women like me who want nice things can afford nice things. I am a student.

Super cool antique store from all eras and just about anything your liking for they will have it !

Out of any thrift stores I have visited, and it has been quite a few, this one would be the most unique. Although being the most upwardly priced in town, it’s more of a Buffalo Exchange than a Jet Rag. The unique thing about this store that differentiates it from other aspiring hipster hangouts are the eclectic collection of clothing as well as furniture.
The store is three tiered, and the ground floor is where the clothing is found. The lower floor boasts of an extensive furniture and glassware selection, and the top, woodwork of various mediums and kinds. I go mainly for the clothing, and have found on several occasions articles of clothing that are beyond words, for better or for worse. Among your finds will normally rest mariachi dresses adorning the racks, fedoras larger than the moon, loafers from the 70s, floral blouses, vintage trucker hats, Winnie the Pooh overalls, Great Gatsby fascinators, and Hawaiian button ups.
On sale days you can get a great deal on these pieces you didn’t even know you needed! In terms of furniture, their rotation is pretty heavy, and stuff usually flies off the shelves, so your experience of furniture finding will vary. Be sure to come on a First Friday to get a good deal, and sign up for the reward program for an extra ten percent off.

This is one of my favorite antique stores to stop by when I make my rounds. I try to visit monthly, sometimes weekly. It’s bad, I know!
I have always been greeted when I walk in the door. The staff is amazing and very welcoming. They don’t hoover, but are available to answer questions if you have them.
The main floor/​entrance area houses the clothing/​shoes and jewelry items. There’s plenty of variety. Off to the right behind the peg board are the stairs to the third floor.
The third floor houses the furniture. I have found many treasures up there!
Once you come back down, make your way to the basement. Down there, they house the boutiques/​shops for local vendors. This is amazing! In the past, the basement housed furniture. Now, it gives local businesses an opportunity to have retail space. Amazing!
There’s a sewing room where you’ll find old hankerchiefs, embroidered cloth, doilies. I love going in there and thinking about who made them, and wishing I had that much patience and talent.
There’s also another room that houses China and teapots, etc.
This is an amazing place. Take your time when visiting, as you’ll want to look at everything and be able to take it all in. Wear comfy shoes because it is three stories full, and there’s stairs and a ramp on different floors.
During the summer, take a water bottle with you. The building is old! They don’t have modern air conditioning yet, and that’s okay! You will survive! They try to make it as comfortable as possible with fans everywhere, and have water an lemonade offered to you when you walk in.
I love this place, and will actually be stopping by later today :)

Good selection of clothes. Didn’t realize the store was 90% clothing tho. Would have liked to see more variety.

When you are a second hand store junkie like me then this is heaven. The clothing in this place is probably the best I’ve ever come across in a second hand store ever.
You can tell they are selective in what they want to sell and they take a great deal of time preparing their merchandise for sale. I know that this is also a consignment store. But the selection and quality is off the hook.
I first came here years ago to get a Halloween costume «I dream of Jeanie» costume and I found just the ticket! Perfect and at a reasonable price, so I came back this last Halloween for a 60’s vintage Barbie dress and lo and behold they delivered. Beautiful hand made pink long sleeve vintage dress that looked just like it came from Barbie’s wardrobe.
Then I found some great deals on some name brand jeans that I wear that looked like they were brand new and at a fraction of the price. Beautiful clothes!

Every man has a favorite place to shop for his wife, this place is mine! I can always find something cool to take home to my wife when I want to earn points or for a holiday. In your wildest dreams has an amazing staff and these girls know their stuff. I highly recommend this store !!

I left this same review on their facebook page, which they’ve managed to have removed from the page and tried to threaten the status of my facebook account, even though everything in it is 100% true. This business is NOT to be trusted.

I have a couple complaints about this place. First let me say that they daily send out Facebook postings to us that have signed up. This would be great if all the merchandise resembled these things. Unfortunately once visiting the brick and mortar store I saw a whole different inventory.
I went seeking furniture but attempted to shop clothing as well. Because the store is multi leveled and large there was employees in the three locations I visited. Guess what… all of them ignored me! The lady in furniture kept rearranging things (including everything I touched) the girl in a mid point area with books flat out looked at me like I was crazy because I said hello and the hip gal in clothing clearly had a thing for the guy who was visiting her!
All in all I found the furniture of garage sell quality and the clothes though well stocked and nicely organized not at all as high end as advertised.

My daughter and I spent over 3 hours in this store and found 6 outfits for her, 3 outfits for me and 2 shirts for my son. I spent only 160.00. Now no way could I walk away with ½ at any other store. Customer service is top notch. A+ rating

This place is great! Very helpful staff and a wide selection of clothing, furniture, and costumes. Easy to navigate through the clothing because everything is color coded by size. Didn’t find what I was looking for, but I found all sorts of little treasures and will be returning in the near future!

I must say I was pleasantly surprised here. They have A LOT of vintage clothing and TONS of furniture. As Stacey P. said, yes, they are a bit pricey for a thrift store but they do have some special sales.
I stumbled upon an AWESOME find: reversible white rabbit fur cropped jacket for $ 17 including tax, in almost brand new condition. It’s vintage so I don’t feel so bad about the fur…(at least that’s what I tell myself)
Lots of stuff, kinda sorta organized neat little areas, OK prices, loads of fun! Stop by, you’re in Bakersfield.

Pricier than your typical thrift store but there are definitely better finds here. I found a simple white sweater top with pearl detail for $ 16 and vintage basket weave shoes for $ 16 too!
Upstairs and downstairs are full of classic vintage furniture and in pretty good condition too. There is also a great corner full of great costumes. There were a couple of cute authentic flapper dresses, perfect for halloween! I would’ve picked one up but $ 60 was out of my price range. They also have crazy animal masks and even a couple of V for Vendetta masks.

This place is WONDERFUL!
Although I had limited time to completely sink my shopping jaws into it’s delicious goodness, I certainly tried!
++ Modern clothing styles racked separately from vintage items
++ All clothing SIZED on the racks, and the size rings color coded AND the color code guide clearly posted — making shopping the rounders EASY whether you’re a size 6 or a size 20
++ A decent collection of menswear of various styles and trends
++ A shoe AND purse HALLWAY
++ A fancy party dress room
++ Hats, ties and other accessories throughout
Hustle your behind up the ramp to the «attic» and shop the miscellaneous architectural finds — rocking chairs, antique tools, sewing machines, wrought-​iron hanging lamps and candleholders, candlelabras, archways, velvet furniture, etc, etc — most of the items I saw in this portion were used, gently used, slightly dinged or needing a bit of TLC.
Then take and roll right on down the ramps to the «basement» and behold the fancier antiques — COMPLETE sets of flatware in their velvetine boxes, sofas, end tables, sidebars, etc. of various time periods, styles and materials — add to this glassware, ashtrays, artwork, rugs, fabrics — mostly vintage, antique and hard to find items, gently used (or looking completely UNUSED) and no matter if you’re working out that 70’s porn lounge or a 50’s malt shop look — you’ll find plenty of inspiration here!
One of the ramps is stacked on either side with picture frames, TONS AND TONS of art — you may not like the artwork, but you may LOVE the exquisite frames!
I did chuckle a bit over some mis-​labeled items — Mexican pottery and weaving labeled as «Navajo», fake Acoma and Zuni pottery (Made in China labels on the bottom) passed off as Native American — less likely an attempt to delude shoppers and more likely a touch of ignorance on categorizing certain works — not a big deal for those in the know!
The front counter had a large collection of fun jewelry and accessories — some antiques, some modern remakes; party wigs and a sale rack sitting outside to entice shoppers.
I was equally impressed with the pleasant sales staff — youngish, hipster types minus the «I’m better than you» attitude I find in similar stores in the Bay area or Los Angeles — knowledgeable about the store, helpful and pleasant!
I would not characterize this shop as a thrift store nor is it an ideal location to take your children!
