I went to see Laura Lea and she saved my hair!!! After having a different hairdresser from a different salon destroy my hair I was hoping she could help me. She went above and beyond. Not only did she salvage my hair, she took her time to explain the products, without pushing a sale, and she answered all of my questions. She was very friendly, knowledgable, and patient. I would highly recommend her.

Cecilia is wonderful. I’ve had a Brazilian wax before but other spots in town aren’t any good. Very relaxed setting. And I wasn’t in pain when she got done. I highly recommend Paragon salon. Ask for Cecilia. I will definitely be back:)

The stylist Lauralea is awesome. I have been going to her for years and always thrilled with the outcome. She is very knowledgeable. She has been cutting and styling my children as well. I would highly recommend Lauralea and Paragon.

I lost my favorite hairstylist of 17 years, who was at Paragon for the most part, because of health issues. In an attempt to find a new stylist I went to 5 different people/​places all of which did not give me the color/​cut I was hoping (praying) for. After having such bad experiences I felt I was doomed to just not having nice hair anymore. I then remembered a hair stylist at Paragon, Shelbi, who had a station just in front of my stylist’s and remembered how her clients always looked so good when she was done and they were always very happy (a true sign of a satisfied customer) and since I have always loved Paragon I scheduled an appointment with Shelbi and was in her chair a short time later. My hair was in really bad shape and I showed Shelbi a picture of what it was I was hoping to leave with (as I did for the last 5 stylists) and she fixed it EXACTLY how I wanted it… color and everything (and she had her work cut out for her)!!! No one was able to do what she did. Not only was I finally able to find someone who knew what they were doing but to find one in a place that I feel comfortable in. The staff at Paragon has always been very kind and extremely helpful and I have been going there since they opened. As a woman, I am sure other women can relate to how a good hair cut/​color makes you feel. I can’t say enough how wonderful Shelbi made me feel as I was leaving and while I was there. She gave me undivided attention and took her time with me. Not only do I feel so much more like me… but she finally gave me peace of mind knowing that I finally have someone who I can trust in. Thank you so much Shelbi!!! And thank you Paragon for always making me feel at home.

I’ve always has a good experience at this salon. I’ve worked with a handful of girls and my hair turns out great most of the time. If not the the stylist will fix it for me the next day. I also like how this place is never crowded and its very clean. I also buy my face wash here.

I was a little skeptical coming to this salon because of the reviews, but I came in anyway because my hair was in desperate need for attention. I was a walk in and didn’t schedule an appointment in advance. The receptionist was incredibly nice. I first told her what I was looking for and brought, my stylist, Lauralea out. She was incredibly nice from the start! She brought me back and reminded me not to feel obligated to stay if I didn’t like what she was explaining, but she was so thorough! Every question I asked she gave me a straight thorough answer. She was very nice, knowledgable, and professional. I ended up getting a haircut with a deep conditioning. Not only was my hair much better than when I first came in, but she also gave me a tour, advised me about product to use (high end as well as alternatives at Target), and introduced me to Jackie who is an esthetician. I did not get a service with Jackie, however she was incredibly informative. I told her about my last facial as well as my skin condition and she graciously advised me, show me a tour of her room, and gave me a few cleansing sample to try. The salon was clean, everyone I saw and met was polite and informative. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a hair stylist as passionate as Lauralea. I’m certainly going back and I highly recommend her!

I had a hair appointment with Lauralea and had an awesome time. Wow who knew giving her the ok to be creative would make me feel so beautiful. I got 90 likes on my Facebook page alone. I love my new cut and color. Already made my next appointment! Thank you Lauralea!!!

LauraLea is AWESOME!!! She fixed my messed up hair that was previously done 2 days ago by (Im not going to say the person or the salon). I had so many complements and the color was perfect. Thank you Lauralea for you great work and help. I will be referring all my friends and co-​workers to you.

As a surprise my husband got me a «spa day» at Paragon. What an amazing gift! First I received the most relaxing massage by Monica. She was courteous, very nice and made me feel comfortable the entire time. She definitely kneaded out my work stress knots from my shoulders and back. Then I got a full mani/​pedi from Rhiannon. The hot paraffin wax, and hand and foot massage made my skin feel amazing. She then gave me a great gel polish for my nails that lasted several weeks!
Thank you for making my day relaxing, enjoyable, and a one of a kind event that I will definitely do again. Everyone was so friendly and fun, from the front desk on, my day was the best.

If you ever go to this salon, do not get your hair done by Norma! She is extremely unprofessional and always arrives late to her own appointments. I was once waiting at her station with wet hair for 40 minutes! She did my little sister’s hair for her senior pictures, and came so late that she only had 15 minutes to style it. Her behavior was unacceptable and I would never go back to her.

I don’t understand why people say this place is so bad…
My best friend went here for her wedding day & Cassie her hair dresser was very good and sweet. Hair was super cute. Sabrina did an awesome job on her make up. Tho a white chick by the make up area (as you walk thur to the back to the right) did gave us attitude for no reason when we asked for Sabrina so I will cut out a star :/​besides her everything was awesome! :D Oh and I bought Hempz lotion really good lotion

I think it is a great salon and every time I have gone in I have had a great experience. It is a beautiful salon and I love being waited on and offered wine and such. Anyway, it is a very nice place and a nice atmosphere.

This place is definitely overrated. My friends and I had pedicures scheduled and it was a really disappointing experience to say the least. One of our manicurists never showed up, another one who was there skimped out on my friend’s scrub and lotion on her legs, and the room was not peaceful at all. Also the soak tub for the feet was a metal bowl which I thought was strange. None of us loved our pedicures and for 50 bucks (in Bakersfield that is pricey) well we just expected a bit more. However, on the bright side the women working at the front desk were very nice along with the manicurists that performed our services. It just wasn’t worth the money.

My stylist is the ONLY reason I go. He moved there and I followed. The salon is a bit on the dirty side. The reception area is full of junk jewelry and tacky bits of nick knack. Not one of the ‘better’ salons I’ve been into. Only going as long as my stylist works there… that’s loyalty for ya. Lol.

Ew. The women are bitchy and rude. All of them. The lobby is full of cheap, tacky junk for sale. Services are overpriced. The hair area is so loud it is insufferable. Not relaxing at all, between the gossiping hair stylists (who think it’s okay to talk major trash about people in full range of customers), the constant blow dryers, the pages from the receptionist over and over and over again… this place is just a salon. And an unfortunate one at that. I won’t be going back. But… the estheticians are AMAZING. The microderm abrasion was quite good. Saving grace.
