Holiday decorations galore! :) Priced at 20−40% off, depending on the item(s). Some of the ornaments are extra cute and affordable too.

I love the uniquely attractive items that Pier 1 offers. However I recently bought a complete set of Harvest Garden Dinnerware and am so disappointed in their quality. One plate chipped the first week, I went back and bought another. A few days later another chipped, I again bought few more plates, thinking I must have become unusually clumsy. Thanksgiving Day with my family netted me two chipped plates, three chipped bowls. How very disappointing. We are not that savage! I have asked the manager if she had any other comments? She assured me she had not and that she owned this very same set with no problem. Before Thanksgiving I believed her. Don’t buy dishes there.

If I could afford to just decorate my house with this store — I would. Or maybe not just on principle. I find it very pricey. I scored a beautiful canvas today from there which was sadly the only deal I could find. The items are beautiful. They are exotic and take me away to a far away land where each piece feels like it could tell you a story. The clearance areas are all over the store but I do not find 15−20% off such a huge clearance deal. No coupons in circulation to ease the blow. I was not greeted when I came in. Some of the gals, while not busy did not appear too cheerful. One lady, Trace did finally ask me if I was finding everything ok and helped me price something I was unsure about. And she also checked me out at the end. I have to say I like the prices better at World Market for similar things. But of course I will come back here again as I do like their inventory. Great place for buying a gift for that hard to buy for person.

Updating my earlier Complaint about Management at Pier One Imports, Here’s the NEWS… They still don’t care or have the time to brother responding to their customers. World Market, Home Goods and Hobbie Lobby good choices !!

Loved this store! Ladies were very nice and helpful! Had everything I needed and more,. I was looking for a scarf for my friend and the nice sales lady showed me a nice selection to choose from! My girlfriend in Arizona will love this! Thank you Pier 1 Imports!

As much as I enjoy the imported goods, the customer service in this store is terrible. When I walk in I get one of two looks, the. «what are you doing here?» Or the«I’m too busy to say hello» look. I’ve never gotten quality customer service & it’s rare I’ve been asked if I need help finding anything except when I’m at the cashier about to check out. I won’t go back, and will continue to look for my imported items elsewhere.

I gave this place another try — one year later same old gimmick– signs with 50% on all outdoor — what is left for shopper to discover is they mean on a dozen shelves you can find some outdoor dishes– that’s it! Don’t waste your time– I am so done with this store — cutting up the card I never should’ve gotten here.

Unilocal 100 Challenge 2013– 6⁄100 Pier 1 Imports is a store that has just about everything to help one decorate and entertain. They have furniture, frames, mirrors, curtains, decorative pillows, outdoor furniture and accessories, dishes, vases, wall décor etc. I was so excited walking in. The smell of the candles and the wicker… transports me to somewhere tropical. like Bali. The store itself deserves 4 stars. Most of my visits to Pier 1 are always delightful. The customer service is generally amazing. as soon as you walk through the door… most every time you will be greeted with a smile and a warm«welcome». Not so at this store. The staff members here were too deep into their own conversations to offer a welcome or further assistance. I was browsing the store for about 15 minutes and left empty handed.

It’s fun to travel abroad. In my younger crazier days I travelled to Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Singapore, and Indonesia, but I haven’t had the time or money to do it in years. Whenever I feel that wanderlust, I can make a palliative trip to Pier 1 and feel better almost immediately. Walking through this store is like a quick trip to a third world country without the inconvenience of the lack of functioning public toilets or the fear of being infected by intractable parasites. This store is filled with ethnic-themed items from all over the world. Having travelled abroad the first thing that occurred to me is that if these things were manufactured elsewhere, how can we be sure that we are not supporting sweatshops and forced labor? Well, you can shop with a clear conscience. They are committed to using vendors that use only voluntary labor and do not use child labor. You can find information about their commitment to vendor accountability on the website. Pier 1 carries a wide variety of items including dinnerware, stemware, and items for your kitchen. My first couch and love seat(back in 1991) were made of wicker and came from Pier 1. I have a grown-up couch, now, but I still bought throw pillows last summer to make it look fancier. Pier 1 carries furniture, rugs, wall décor, jewelry, bedding, and candles, quite an eclectic group of items. So you can take a walk on the wild side and the bring the world outside the good old U.S. of A to your home by roaming the aisles of Pier 1.

Pier 1’s are all pretty standard. They carry some great gift items and plenty of unique service-ware for parties. Yet, I always seem to forget this place exists! It’s located closer to Rosedale hwy(next to Wendy’s) in a stand alone building. This makes getting in and out a breeze, especially during holidays.
