I had the pleasure of being helped by Duane Hartman at R&M tire service. I was driving on down from the bay area to LA and noticed my tire gauge kept going off. I stopped at a few gas stations and filled up the air but still kept getting a warning light. Finally, someone at the gas station suggested I drive down Taft highway and find a tire store. Luckily for me, I found R&M. It was 10 minutes to closing time and they welcomed me in, took a look at my tire, fixed my issue (a broken valve stem) and had me going in about 20 minutes. Not only did they do a thorough check of all my tires, they refused to accept any payment! A clear reminder for how wonderful people can be! If you have any trouble — give these guys a call. They are the best!

R&M saved us! Had a blow out on the 5 near Bakersfield. They were able to get the odd sized (16.5″) tires my truck takes and had us back on the road. This all took place at 5 o’clock… the went above and beyond and stayed open a few minutes late to wait for us to arrive. Thank you R&M!

Awesome over the phone help!
Driving up Interstate 5, my tire light started blinking, then went solid. I slowed down to 60 mph, and the light turned off. Did I have a leaky tire in the middle of nowhere??? I pulled off at the next exit, checked tire pressures and googled this Tire service. The tire pressures were even and normal. I explained the situation over the phone, and both the husband and wife team explained the source of the tire light as increased tire pressure at high speeds.
They spent at least 10 – 15 min on the phone with me. I felt reassured knowing I could continue my trip to SF without risking the chance of a blown tire en route.

Totally trustworthy people running this place. Every one of them is personable, nice, and totally competent at their job. It is the only place my parents go to have their tires taken care of or oil changed.
Plus, they have 24 hour road service.
Mom & I picnicked in their waiting area after a horrendous experience with AAA who sent three tow trucks, none of which could figure out how to get a custom tire off of her van. These people had us in and out of there with a new tire in about 20 minutes AND they kept the shop open late to do it for her.
Now THAT’S service you can trust!!! Seriously, it’s worth the trip out here to get the job done right! I can’t say enough good things about them!
