Horrible customer service!!! About 12 friends and I purchased Groupons they had and reserved three lanes for 9:00pm for our Anti Valentine’s day date. We arrived about 15 – 20 minutes early and were greeted by the cashier who looked pissed at the world and treated every guest as if we ruined her day. She made us wait and we lost about 30 minutes of our two hour bowling time which we paid for in advance. She also sprayed my daughter when she sprayed the shoes and didn’t apologize. If you are so unhappy with your job in customer service find another job! Some people in our community would be happy to be blessed with a job period!!!

We bought a Groupon to take the kids out bowling and we called beforehand to make reservations for two lanes we called twice just to make sure the lanes were reserved and lady confirmed they were. Well we showed sat at 6:30 and the guy had no reservation he said we can wait it would be like 20 min ok that’s normally not big deal since they games well after getting change to play the arcade games only about two were even working. once we got to the games we found right by the snack bar which we stood at for about 10 min before the lady even turned around to ask what we wanted worse service I’ve seen! the back arcade smelled so horrible with a mix of smoke and pee soaked carpet just gross. I walked to front to tell the guy to just cancel the lanes since its been about 45 min of waiting and he seemed confused like we should keep waiting. We decided to leave at this at point and will never return and will warn all others stay away this place is very dirty with horrible customer service I would rate zero if possible!

The staff is always so awesome and accommodating! When we mentioned that somebody in our group was having a birthday they immediately went and got us a bowling pin for everybody to discreetly sign and give to our coworker, etc.
It’s clean, reasonably priced, and FUN!

I wish I could give it a zero rating but I don’t think that is an option. I took my siblings there for something fun and affordable because I was told that after the first game every game would be $ 3.50 after 5 pm by the girl working at the front desk. She did not specify to me that it was $ 7.50 per person for the first game per person and $ 3.50 per person after the first game. She clearly said per game, not per person. So I thought not bad, the final bill ended up being $ 84 and she then argues with me saying she said per person. If you can’t be clear about things then do not work the front desk. Not only that, when people work in any type of service position, customers should be treated with kindness and perhaps a smile but she had the face that she completely hated being there. I understand, bowling alley is probably not her dream job but showing customers a glum face won’t get you any where. She seemed like she just wanted to get people in and out without dealing with them. The manager was of no help either.
If you want to be fed wrong information and treated like you did something wrong then be my guest and go to this place but overall service is really bad.
Also, during each game the pins took forever to come back on and they constantly made us wait in order to «fix» it even though the problem continued to happen.
Second time going here and it was a huge mistake.

Absolutely will not return to this bowling alley. The bowling balls do not return after each frame. No surprise if there’s no ball to bowl with, they’re all stuck!
The lanes do not reset like they should. Place just is horrible if you’re looking for a good night of family bowling.

Just awful. Super terrible. So bad.
My group of 4 arrived for Glow and Bowl on Friday night, ⁵⁄₁ and paid to play from 10p-​2am. We were assigned lane 37. I went to the grill to order pizza, but was told they were out of pizza. I thought it was weird since the night just started but hey. I ordered other food instead and was told it would be a 5 minute wait. By 10:25p (25 minutes later) food was still not ready and bowling still had no started yet. They didn’t turn their system on until 10:30p, and we finally got food.
Our lane wouldn’t return any of our balls, so we were moved to lane 38. Turns out lane 38 was messed up too so we were moved to lane 39. 39 wasn’t cooperative, so we were moved to lane 28. 28 decided it was going to work.
By this time it was getting close to midnight, so we missed out on 2 hours of paid bowling from all the standing around and waiting for help, moving lanes, etc. The lane next to us returned from the grill with two pizzas. Why did they tell me, one of their first customers of the night, they were out but someone else was able to order?
We got in a good hour and half of bowling fun, but when 1:30a rolled around all the lights were turned on and they started telling people to leave. I’m not from Bakersfield, so maybe it’s the norm around here, but from where I stand if I paid to bowl until 2am then I should be able to stay until that time. Not asked to leave because the staff want to go home. Their security team even tried to take away our pitcher of beer stating they can’t allow us to drink it because of the time… but it was 1:30a.
I asked for the name of the manager to file a complaint. John at the register asked what for, listened to our story, and said they couldn’t do anything for us.
As we stood in the parking lot discussing what a complete fail the service was, some staff left the bowling alley with three pizzas! Sooooo frustrating. I sound like fatty bitching about pizza, but seriously that’s all we wanted, were told we couldn’t have it, but everyone else got it. Ridiculous.
This was our second time here. I can forgive technical difficulties, but the horrible, terrible, no good, very bad service can’t be overlooked.

Horrible customer service, most of there workers would rather be at the bar or bowling themselves than actually helping the people who are paying to bowl. Would never come here again, lanes break down and aren’t usable after a while and then they cant even fix it. Just a horrible experience that I’ve never had with any of the other bowling alleys in town.

When here for my birthday I called ahead to check prices and availability. Both were ok, but when we got there they told us we had to be done by 5 as all the lanes were reserved, which was not stated when I called. Played 2 games and the computers kept freezing and the pins kept resetting when they were not supposed to. Definitely time for some updating of their system. Also was unable to get bumpers for my baby girl because they only have those on 4 lanes.

Went here with a group of friends for the first time on a saturday night. They had this thing called Glow & Bowl. We got there an hour early so we can prepay and not have to wait in a long line. During the time we were waiting, we were in the game room. There is a door that leads to the bar and you can see smoke coming from the bar because it was so smoggy in the game room. That was one of the thing I did not like. They should have the door closed at all times. The Glow & Bowl is for 2 hours. I had a great time since I haven’t bowled for over 2 years.

Rude customer service is the #1 turnoff here. The employees seem very nice, but the older gentleman, he seems like the boss, he was extremely rude. Apparently his idea of good customer service is to be rude and disrespectful to his customers. Another thing is that there is an added fee for bowling shoes on top of the game price. they’re literally in it only for the money. For one game, we’re paying almost 10 $ per person. It’s a rip off. The only reason this place got two stars instead of one is because of the cheap beer prices. Otherwise this place has got to be one of the worst bowling alleys I’ve ever been to.

Very chill workers here. Even gave us a discount due to another bowling ally turning me and my friends away. Will definitely come back! :)

Absolutely worst bowling alley I’ve been too. I go bowling multiple times a month. customer service was so rude. Place was so dirty and it smelled horrible. Will never go there again. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Sw lanes is better, a little more pricier but it’s worth it.

Went here for the first time last Friday they had this thing going on called Glow & Bowl. Absolutely loved it so much fun the black lights & the DJ playing the music was just awesome he played every genre you could think of as we were bowling we couldn’t stop dancing. Gotta say it was even better than going to club just because of the chill atmosphere! Loved it loved the music!

Well I come here for multiple things, the obvious is the bowling. On the weekend they have Hip Hop and RnB, and top 40 type music at both night clubs they have here (Martini Lounge, and cant remember the others name) every now and then i show up. Right outside of the building they have a taco stand that starts up around 11pm, the majority of their business is from these club goers. This taco stand is pretty good too; they grill you up tacos or quesadillas right there. Sometimes I even come here JUST for the tacos. I have no idea what they call themselves as a business though. Ive been here a lot so I have to give it 4 stars

We used to go bowling here every week for our bowling leagues. During the summer times, it would become quite hot cause the air conditioning did not work too well. We have not bowled here in over a year so maybe they have fixed that problem.
The entire bowling alley could use some work, but I still would not hesitate to go bowling here. Just call ahead in order to make sure there are no bowling leagues going on. Otherwise, there may be no lanes available.
Cosmic bowling nights get real busy. It is a lot fun for the whole family though and a good deal.

We have so much fun when we go for Cosmic Bowling. If you are looking for a fun, active hangout, this is probably one of the most fun things to do on a Saturday night in Bakersfield. The staff are very friendly and very attentive and willing to offer help. Our lane was a little messed up, and it gave out a couple free strikes… but that was okay, it made for some great celebration and hysterical laughter. We have been twice recently with two different groups of friends, and each time it was great fun! They play a good mix of music, they mix in hip hop, rock, old school, I think they played at least one country song. The bar is very small, but when we go we don’t hang in the bar much, we bowl. My BF loves that he can order a drink at the bar and bring it out to the lanes with him. It’s not a fancy bowling ally by any means, but when you are having that much fun with friends, that just doesn’t really matter much. I would recommend this to anyone from 21 – 99.

food sucks but bowling alley is good. bartenders make up there own prices and try to charge different Every time so be sure to watch that. other than that it’s a great family bowling place.

Its an old bowling alley, gets the job done and the machines don’t breakdown nearly as much as westchester. roof leaks with heavy rains. what can I say, its an old bowling with wood lanes… not as nice as southwest, but it works for my league…

Pizzas not bad. Good with booze. Drinks a bit pricey.
