History

Established in 1978.

On January 1, 2013, former New Agent Training Director, Pat McCandless stepped into the role of Broker and Co-​Owner, along with Chris Earl also Broker and Co-​Owner of Stephens Real Estate. Together, Pat and Chris have been a part of Stephens Real Estate for 21 years and members of the Stephens Real Estate management team since 2009 working closely with Doug & Bob Stephens to learn and grow the business. With Pat and Chris at the helm, Stephens Real Estate, will continue to be what is has always been, an independent, full service, community oriented company with a full support staff to assist its agents with a team approach to serving its customers and clients. Stephens’ reputation for honesty and community service is widely acknowledged and continues to be the foundation of the company.

Stephens Real Estate was founded on May 1, 1978. The original office was located in the old Douglas County Bank building on Kentucky Street with 28 sales associates, a receptionist, secretary, bookkeep
