Bryan, the owner of Checkworks, recently reached out to me to see what he could do to make things right. After apologizing profusely for the actions of the customer service rep who I spoke to previously, he let me know that some staff changes had been made in order to provide better service to their customers. Bryan issued a full refund and renewed my faith in this company… Thanks, Bryan!

No complaints. My order was exactly as requested. Great customer service. Received the product a day earlier than anticipated. Will reorder from Checkworks again.

I hate to write negative reviews — I think we need more positivity in our lives — but on Checkworks I can’t hold back. Their product might be good and cheap but their customer service will cost you dearly. I hope you don’t need it if you order from them. I ordered checks and did not get what I expected. They were larger than I anticipated and so I needed a checkbook cover for them. I figured it was my mistake in ordering and they were not to blame but I couldn’t determine from the website which checkbook cover to order so I called. They instructed me in what to order and then asked if I wanted to pay for it out of my bank account. I was a bit shocked that they still had access to my bank account after they had produced my checks. In any case, the order was my mistake (and not my company’s) so I asked them to bill my personal credit card. They did and to my surprise, they ALSO took the same charge out of my bank account. When I called to report it, they replied that two covers had been sent and that they couldn’t take the second charge off my company bank account until I received and returned the extra cover. I explained that I had to wait until they «expedited» a postage-​paid envelope to return the cover to them. Well, the second check cover never arrived nor the postage-​paid envelope. I called to report and in the process I talked to four different people all who treated my problem in four totally different ways. I talked to the manager finally and he appeared to get things straight. Nothing changed. The extra cover and envelope never arrived and the manager never returned subsequent phone calls. A word to the wise — you may find the product saves you money but their poor customer service will cost you the difference and more. Think twice before ordering from these folks and pray you have no problems and don’t need their help!

I am not a regular check user but we need them for some bills. CheckWorks is in my area and looking at reviews it might not have been my first choice. All reviews are pretty old so I ordered a box. The customer service experience was great, friendly and the pick up service was convenient. Comparing other companies they are by far cheapest and quality is great. To anyone considering CheckWorks I give the green light these bad reviews could have been under different management :)

Beware of
. They are liars and cheats. They add on charges AFTER you have finished your order and their customer service is terrible. I wrote an email complaining about the charges but did NOT cancel my order. Instead of responding they cancelled it and acted hi and mighty when I found out. But figuring I had committed the money I waited weeks for checks that never arrived.

Kudos to Checkworks for a job well done! My checks arrived well ahead of the two– to four-​week delivery window and looked as expected. I would absolutely order from them again.

I bought checks from Checkworks 2009 but that supply just ran out, so I called them at 1−800−971−4223 to re-​order 1200 more business checks (3 per page) on 11-​15-​2013. It cost me $ 80.49. I did not pay for expedited shipping. I received the checks on 11−22−13. I was so shocked to get them that fast that I had to write a positive comment on here. I did not shop around because it was too easy to just call and reorder from the same company plus I did not want to give my checking account info to yet another company out there. So I have to give them 5 stars for this order because my expectations were exceeded. It was a re-​order and I was not a brand new customer. So perhaps they do better on re-​orders because I read the reviews below just now and was suprised to see so many negative ones. I am happy :)

These are the ugliest checks I’ve ever seen. The printing of my address is tiny and almost illegible. Big space between the capital letters in the state postal abbreviation. The price is competitive and they did arrive within ten days. Wish I hadn’t ordered so many. Have to live with these for the next three years. Embarrassment to sign my name to them.

I have read plenty of hateful reviews on Unilocal so I try my best to post the facts.
Three things you may want to consider
It took 11 days to get an explanation of charges, which turns out never did pencil out. The total charge should have been about $ 13 instead of $ 16.

) Apparently they don’t actually charge you for the shipping (postage) they just tack on a profit for themselves then tax it because they can’t prove it.
There are a zillion things you can fill in on the one «order form» NOTICE there are bunch of drop down boxes and defaults that are pre-​filled
I will never use them again.

Don’t use these people. I ordered my checks in early November. It’s now December 20^th and still no checks. I called twice and both times got an unsatisfactory answer. Their customer service people are horrible. I even called the post office and talked to them about it. I told them that Checkworks said it could take 4 weeks to deliver (it’s now going on 6 weeks) The postmaster told me that there is no form of bulk shipping with the USPS that would ever take 4 weeks inside the US and I live about 30 minutes from Baldwin Park where Checkworks is located. I asked for a refund and was told it would take 5 — 10 business days to receive. They must have the same snail processing their refunds as they have delivering their checks. Honestly, they seem like scam artists to me. I would disregard their so-​called A+ rating on the BBB… There is no way that can be true based on my experience and all these other negative Unilocal reviews. STAY AWAY!

I’ve been waiting for my checks since Aug. 23, 2012. It’s now Oct. 5, 2012 and no checks. I live 10 miles away from their office. I’ve called twice and they have «no idea» why I haven’t received my checks and no way to track them. I’ve asked them to refund my money, I’m not holding my breath.

I ordered checks from this company for my business. I ordered 50 checks with duplicates. The website said they usually ship between 12 – 48 hours. website also said, their best shipping is with orders over 100. (i guess I should have read between the lines) One week later my checks are not in an I have to pay a few of my vendors. I call there customer service and Raquel answered. Rude attitude and to top it off she says that the reason why they haven’t even taken the time to print my checks is because the order is too small. I told her about what I read in her website about shipping within 12 – 48 hours and she said to read the other statement. «Best shipping with orders of over 100». She then tried to get me to order another 50 so that I can have an order of 100. I asked if I was to do that, when can I expect my checks? She still couldn’t get me an answer. Over promising and under delivering is not the way to go when you’re doing internet business. They are spending money on google pay-​per-​click to be at the top of the search engines. The least they can do is take care of the clients. Especially, since websites like Unilocal exist, and feedback from buyers is public. I never leave bad reviews but the fact that I have no checks because my order was too small, was never disclosed to me.

So, I read all the reviews, on this site and others, some good and some not so favorable. But I was willing to take a chance. By my own fault, I was down to my last check so speed of delivery was important. So I opted for the reasonably priced shipping that would get me the checks in, I believe 3 – 4 days after printing. I ordered the checks on July 15, they were shipped on July 18, and I received them on the 24^th. Not bad – actually the quickest I have received an order of checks. Love the design and the quality. I have NO complaints about this company. And they have some unique designs you don’t see everywhere. Will definitely order again.

My bank recently changed the preferred formatting of the checks it’s customers use. Having not been informed of this, I ordered checks in the same format as I always have. My bank contacted me a few weeks after I started using my new checks and let me know that my checks had been printed with no gaps or colons in between the check number and the account number. Confused, I called CheckWorks just to gain some more information. The lady I spoke with was immediately defensive, blamed the bank right away, didn’t apologize for the miscommunication, seemed angry for having to explain to me that the banks send them a «preferred» list of formatting and offered me no suggestions. I had called just to gain more information and ended up being yelled at and offended. I will never order from CheckWorks again.

I can’t believe what a rip off they are. I paid for checks in February but never received checks. Period. Lots of excuses, no checks.

I cannot believe how many times these operators can lie to me with a straight face!!! I ordered checks back in August on the 21^st. They assured me if I paid for expedited shipping I would receive in time to write my rent check on September 1^st.
Surprise! Didn’t receive them in time but I blamed myself — even though THEY said I would — as I cut it so close.
I still hadn’t received them by September 9^th so I called again. The less than friendly rep told me that I should have the checks by the 14^th. Nope.
I called back on the 14^th. Now I was afraid they had been stolen from my mail box.
They said that they would conduct a postal inspection to see what happened to my checks. IF the post office had sent them back to Checkworks they would be notified and could tell me. «SO, have they?» I bravely asked. «Have they what?» What you just told me they would do!!!
A personality-​drained rep then told me they would order another set for me and expedite it. again.
I WILL receive them in 3 – 5 business days he promised. That would be the 21^st of September. Nothing.
I called the 21^st — stressing over a gall bladder surgery I was having the next day and was told I should receive my checks by Saturday the 24^th.
Well, guess what. And what did I do? I called this morning? And what was I told? The checks had JUST LEFT SHIPPING this morning. And what else? I should receive them in 3 – 5 business days. I am not even gonna get these in time for OCTOBER rent.
And these lame-​os didn’t even offer to refund my super shipping speed fee. Ass holes. They just don’t understand that customer service is NOT a thing of the past.
I hate these people. Never ever ever again.
No apologies … they just treated me like I am the idiot for dealing with them.
UPDATE!
September 27, Spoke to a manager and she was very apologetic. She reversed my shipping charge (as well she should) AND got my order Fed Ex’ed to me to arrive in two days.
They did arrive today.
I gave them two more stars (up three from one) as I do not think this is their normal business practice. It DID take a long time but once (well, after several calls!) I got through the the right person things just fell into place and my checks fell into my hands.

I recently needed to buy some checks. Yes, I still use checks to pay my bills.
I hate giving any unnecessary money to the bank. Besides which they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for one measly box of checks. I’ve already used up my intro offer to Checks Unlimited and Checks in the Mail, so I decided to give CheckWorks a try.
I was a little nervous since I was sending my bank information to some company on the Internet that I didn’t know, but I tried to do my due diligence. I checked the BBB and it is an accredited business with them.
They have a rating of A– so they’re not terrible. There were some reviews by different people. Some of them did say they didn’t get their checks and changed their bank info so they wouldn’t get scammed. But there were some that said they got the checks and that they liked the quality, so I thought what the heck. I’ll live dangerously.
I ordered my checks online on 10÷7÷2010. I received them all today on 10/​19/​2010. The packaging was a little weird, but I received all four boxes at once. They’re always warning you that the boxes can get separated.
I will admit I was very nervous and was wondering if I would have to change all my bank information, but, no, everything did turn out. The checks arrived. They’re very pretty. I got the fresh flowers design.
Oh, I called them up to see if I could just pick them up from the place of business directly and they said I could, so I figured, hey, they can’t be scamming me too bad if they’re willing to let you come down and pick them up.
All in all, I am please with my purchase. I have enough checks ot last me a couple of years at least. Hopefully by then I can use the first-​time customer offers again at Check in the Mail and Checks Unlimited.
Oh, yeah. I didn’t give them the 5 stars because you have to pay extra to have your stuff tracked and I was a little stressed out. They say it can take up to 30 days to get to you. I’m sure I would have been a nervous wreck.
