Lightbridge Academy offers early learning programs for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool aged children with summer camps for older children. The Seedlings Early Childhood Education Program focuses on the needs of each individual child and the curriculum fosters a lifelong love of learning, while simultaneously developing a solid foundation for cognitive, social, and emotional development. Enrichment programs included are sign language, Spanish and music.

Our flexible year-​round programs offer extended hours to lessen the stress at drop-​off and pick-​up times. Everything we do revolves around supporting the needs of our families and we’re constantly asking what we can do to make parents lives easier and further enrich the lives of their children.

Established in 2015.

Our state of the art center offers a biometric fingerprint scan entry security system, interactive whiteboards, parentview internet monitoring and tadpoles which is our e-​communication system that enables parents to get up to the minute updates on their child. These offerings allow parents to stay connected to their children. We believe that communication is the very foundation in building trust and enhancing relationships.

Our innovative educational program, Seedlings allows our children to meet vital developmental milestones while still providing the freedom to learn through play and foster a love of learning. Infused in our daily program include American Sign Language, Singing Sprouts, and Handwriting Without Tears that will ensure your child receive an amazing educational experience.

Business Owner

Ms. Sylvester, our franchise owner is a resident of Baldwin and is a proud mom to a beautiful 4 year old girl. She is married and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Ms. Sylvester is a career woman who understands the importance of quality child care which is why she chose to open a Lightbridge Academy on Long Island.

Penny Barnes, Assistant Director, studied Psychology and Early Childhood Education. Ms. Barnes has over 16 years of experience in the educational field. She comes with a wealth of experience to include Universal Pre-​Kindergarten, Gifted and Talented Program Coordinator, and Peer Trainer. Penny is known for providing exemplary customer service to families coupled with world-​class leadership. Her kind and fun loving manner makes it easy for conversations! Penny is a sports lover who is a huge Yankees and Giants fan!
