Rich’s Route 50 Service Center

Found out about this place from the Adirondack Mustang Club Facebook page. I went here today for the first time. Took my 2007 mustang GT (that I recently purchased), had to replace the horrible stock shifter with a short throw shifter. They did a great job of putting it in, got the shifter in the car in about an hour. There was a misunderstanding because they thought I was going to drop the car off and leave it for the day. But after I explained to them that I was under the impression that it would be done right then (had called in advance), they actually bumped me up in line and got it done right away. Definitely recommend this place, good customer service and professionals at work. I’ll probably be taking my car back for all the other modifications that I have planned for the future.

I’ve been here a few times, and I held off on a review until now because I was waiting for something negative to happen (as it often does with mechanics). But there’s nothing negative to report! This place has helped me out with everything from minor (and cheap) concerns to body damage and engine issues. They always give me a fair estimate (I’ve shopped around) and the work is always done surprisingly quickly. The past two times they even threw in some work without charging me (like a tire rotation or free diagnostic for a check engine light). And they were great at dealing with my insurance company and helping things to move smoothly and quickly after an accident.
It’s got that family business atmosphere, and you always interact with the same people, which helps with the trust-​building. Even my uhaul rental experience was overly positive! There’s the cutest little chihuaha hanging around, too.
I highly recommend Rich’s for any mechanic work or uhaul rental. I’m moving out of state and leaving this mechanic I trust truly disappoints me.
