Description

Specialties

A vintage & vinyl boutique that specializes in wearable vintage clothing & jewelry, vinyl records, décor, local handmade items, and more.

History

Established in 1991.

Originally started in the 90s by June & Lew Petteys, Ye Olde Wishin’ Shoppe was a 2-level antique store in the heart of downtown Saratoga Springs on Broadway at the Rip Van Dam hotel. In the late 90s the store on Broadway was closed and all the inventory was brought into storage in their home in Ballston Spa. June was selling her items on Ebay with plans to open another store out of their house. Unfortunately, June passed away from breast cancer in 2007. As the family started going through the inventory, they realized they wanted to keep the business going. After running the store out of Ballston Spa for a few years, selling on Ebay & Etsy, and doing several local flea markets, June’s husband, daughter and grandchildren opened a new store in downtown Ballston Spa in the summer of 2013. The family is still going through all the original inventory, focusing on wearable vintage clothing, jewelry, barware, décor, and a new vinyl record department.
