History

Established in 1990.

In 1990, as a solo practitioner, Dr. Caroline Gilje opened the doors to Barrett Station Veterinary Clinic. Since that time, Barrett Station Veterinary Clinic has evolved into a practice with 5 doctors and an exceptional, caring staff of more than 20 members. In 2005, Barrett Station Veterinary Clinic marked another milestone in our continual evolution when we moved into our state-​of-​the-​art facility.

Dr. Gilje was born and raised in West St. Louis County and graduated from Parkway West High School in 1977. Upon graduation she attended the University of Missouri-​Columbia where she graduated from veterinary school in 1984. In 1990, she founded the Barrett Station Veterinary Clinic. Her special veterinary interests include surgery, ophthalmology, and pocket pets.
