This location has been servicing our two family vehicles since 2008. They have always gone out of their way to get us in right away and on several occasions covered the work at no cost. They do their best to provide you with options and their experienced opinions.
I’m glad to say that our (now high mileage) vehicles are still running with minimal problems thanks to their great work. :)

Crooked company. They tried to steal my hard earned money from me twice, but only succeeded once.
This happened a few years ago, but I didn’t think to put it on Unilocal until today.
First visit: I needed a state safety inspection and they are within walking distance from my house. They failed my truck because the brake pads were worn out. My brake pads were only 20,000 miles old and had over 5 times the minimum allowable thickness. I assumed the tech was trying to pull one over on me and took it someplace else.
Second and last ever visit: Needed a state safety inspection and needed my tires rotated. I figured if I gave them a few dollars of work, they wouldn’t try to find non-​issues and would pass the safety inspection (you know, the old «they’re going to get at least some of your money» mentality). I didn’t ask about the cost of the tire rotation (second mistake) and let them do the work. When I picked up my truck they charged me $ 55 for a tire rotation. Oops, I should have asked the cost. That’s on me. I got home and saw these words at the bottom of the receipt: «If you are not fully satisfied with your service today, please call our manager, Dustin.» (his last name turned out to be the same as the company name). I (being young and stupid at the time) thought that this would work. (third mistake) Dustin rudely informed me that the price was the same as any other local shop. I didn’t believe him, and because he was so rude to me I called every shop within a 3 mile radius. The prices all ranged from $ 30 – 35. I called back to talk to Dustin and he yelled through the phone at me, «I don’t have time for this shit. Come back down and I’ll give all of your fucking money back. Then you can take your fucking truck to another fucking shop from now on.»
After this, I called the corporate office, but I couldn’t find anyone interested in talking to me about Dustin’s behavior towards customers.
If he had been polite, I wouldn’t have complained about the price. It was my fault for not asking beforehand anyway. I was never rude towards him. I don’t think anyone should talk to their customers that way.

$ 931 for a fuel pump on a 1998 Grand Marquis. This included a $ 130 diagnostic fee even though I told them exactly what was wrong with my car. I figured I would just pay it and move on.
This occured two years ago but I recently had a fuel pump go out on a 2003 Grand Marquis and was charged less than $ 500 from a local shop in Manchester. Both fuel pumps are in the fuel tank. I didn’t realize how bad they stuck it to me until the fuel pump went out on the 2003. Thanks Dobbs for ripping me off. It will never happen again.

This will be the last time I take a car to this location. When I dropped truck off I explained to them I wanted them to fix what was broken. Later I was told because of my trucks age I needed more done. To make matters worst I was told they were unable to find my original problem. I hope they enjoy my money because I will not return to this location.

I took my truck to get it inspected, I knew that there was a few issues, but what they came back with was outrageous. I do a lot of my own work on my vehicles and know when someone is running up the bill. $ 1300 is what they told me it would cost to get the vehicle to pass inspection. I went and got a second opinion and the bill was less than $ 300. Dobbs is only interested in padding their wallet, not in doing what is right by the customer.

I took my car to Dobbs to get an inspection and emissions test. They called later that day to let me know that my car had failed the inspection because none of my brake lights were working and my car was leaking power steering fluid. They said that it would cost $ 380 to fix the power steering fluid leak and $ 115 to run a diagnostic test on the brake lights.
My husband and I decided to not have Dobbs fix these problems because we thought that we could at least look into the brake light issue ourselves. My husband followed me home from Dobbs (to ensure my safety since we thought that none of my brakes lights worked). Well, even as we left the Dobbs parking lot ALL of my brake lights were operating fine.
Since Dobbs had obviously lied to me about the brake lights, I assumed that I should not trust any part of the inspection. We took my car to another location (NOT a Dobbs) to get the car inspected again. The technician at the 2^nd place agreed that my brake lights were functioning correctly and when he checked for the leaking power steering fluid he could not find any signs of a leak and said that my power steering fluid was full.
In short, Dobbs made up issues with my car and tried to charge me $ 500+ to fix things that were not broken.
