The employees in garden department who check out are ALWAYS in horrible moods and so rude! Today was no exception. I’m not sure if checkout is the worst role at lowes, but that’s where it always goes terrible. Everyone else in the store is friendly Ana helpful. Figure it out checkout.

My brother and dad went here to look for a new fridge since my parents’ fridge had just broken and there were 3 of us adults and 2 small kids staying with them. At the store they waited a long time until they found someone to help them. They were going to deliver it the next day. The next day they called to confirm the delivery but would not give us a time frame, so someone had to wait at home all day. When they finally came, the fridge was scratched, which was very frustrating. We called and left a message of the appliance manager at the store, but he did not return our call. The next day we called again to confirm that we would receive the fridge that morning and to inquire about a discount. We left a message for the manager about a discount and delivery times and he called back offering a $ 200 credit, which made us feel a little better. They brought the new fridge the next morning. My parents previous experience with ordering an appliance from Lowe’s was also difficult, so I don’t plan on ordering any of my appliances from Lowe’s.

This is only a review for the Lowe’s build and grow program. If you have kids ages 5 – 12 lowes has a program called build and grow. They do one sometimes two a month. The two a month are done usually in the summer months. They would like you to register at I’ve seen kids do these under the age of five. There always on Saturdays at 10am and go usually tell noon. If you don’t register you can still do them as long as there kits available. The best part about this program is kids get learn how to work with there hands get something to play with and its all FREE. Just show up and they will have everything you need to build your project.

I have been a loyal Lowe’s customer for 25 years. Today, I went to buy a suite of kitchen appliance, planning to spend over $ 3K. The salesman was very slow, but admitted he was new and wanted to be thorough. That’s fine. When we finally got to checkout, the cashier could not figure out how to put the purchase into one transaction. She, too, was slow and leisurely in attending to this already long process. The manager came over to help. He didn’t know how to help but he DID see the long line of people gathering behind me, so he bailed and went to another register to take care of them. The last straw came when she asked me for proof of my veterans status in order to give the veteran’s discount. I showed her my drivers license and where it shows veteran status. She said«well, I’ve never seen that before» thus implying that I was lying in order to get the discount. So out the door I went. No sale, no going back. I feel sorry for the salesman and hope he finds another job with marginally competent co-workers.

Let’s level set on this review right up front. I am not handy. Nor do I pretend to be handy. However, as a homeowner I do attempt to take care of as much as I can around the house. My local Lowe’s has always done fine by me as I have found their stock ample and the service to be fine. Albeit, I do not need much help when I am there but the service has been fine. My biggest complaint is their parking lot which often resembles the Daytona 500 on Saturday mornings when it is nice outside. Seriously folks, I know you’re excited to get home and plant your mums but please don’t run me over in the process.

I had to go for batteries and so I didn’t wander the store too much. But in the little I went it was clean, the people were friendly, and there were plenty of people. Seeing as I only got batteries I can’t comment on the quality of their lumber, other materials, or tools for sale. I’d go back if I need something.

I’m wonderfully amazed at these stores how shitty the customer service is. It is a toss up between home Depot on Lowes on who is worse. It’s an eye opener at just how shitty it can be.

First, I have to say that I hate big-box hardware stores. The quality of the materials they sell is sub-par. That being said, they are very accessible and inexpensive. So for projects where the quality of the lumber isn’t as important, then Lowe’s is a good place to go. I gave this location 2 stars instead of just 1 because the employees are so friendly and helpful. I actually made this trip to Lowe’s with a specific project in mind – I was building a tilt-out cabinet to store our trash can. I used 1×12s, and all the 1×12s at Lowe’s were very warped. I had to make do with the best two that I found. But using lumber from big-box hardware made it impossible to get my cabinet square. I pushed; I pulled; I even sat on the wood as I nailed it, but some of the warping still shows. Luckily, if you don’t know it’s not square, you don’t notice the warping as much. My husband didn’t notice until I pointed it out. Anyway, long-story-short, go to a lumber yard if you have an important project. And if you are in the market for plywood, take note that Lowe’s does not sell formaldehyde free plywood(at least, not at this location). If you want healthier plywood for an indoor project, you can get a product like PureBond at Schaller Hardwood Lumber Company.

I can’t too much about Lowe’s My mom works for Home Depot, so that’s usually where I go first. However, every now and then I’m pressed for time(Lowe’s is closer to our house) or Home Depot just doesn’t have what I want. Every time I have gone there, I haven’t had any problems. They also have a very good selection of vegetables in the spring and summer, which I appreciate.

I’ve been in Lowe’s many times but this one was an experience to remember. My first trip i n2011 and they must have a new vision or something because at least 5 associates asked me if I needed help finding anything. This brings back memories of Central Hardware that was at Manchester and New Ballwin Rd years ago. Way to go Lowe’s! Thank you!

Whatever bad things I’ve said about the Brentwood Lowe’s is totally negated from the experience I had yesterday at the Ballwin Lowe’s! Isn’t it funny how big chain stores like Low’s can vary from location to location? They carry almost the same merchandise, so what makes one different than another? 1. The service! 2. How they stock their merchandise/the overall aesthetic of the store 3. The service! I’d driven to several different stores this week, looking for large tubs with rope handles(you know, the kind you can ice a keg inside?) and was having no luck. Enter Lowe’s. Those puppies were right in front of the store, as soon as you walk inside. On sale, no less! Easy, breezy transaction here, unlike my last experience at Lowe’s.

The service is always good at this store. However, they have joined a long line of companies that make it difficult to use your debit card as a credit card. Very irritating! How many hoops does a customer have to jump to be treated like a customer?
