Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine

My primary care physicians have staffed here for many years and I think I’m on my third one. I find the place easy to get in to when necessary and I like the fact that they have an area for walk ins when necessary.

This has been my primary place for health care for many years. I have gone through 4 different Doctors. After my last doctor left I was assigned to Dr. Helton. Dr. Helton is not for everyone trust me. It seems to me I seem to listen to doctors who a a little more forceful than most people would like. I however need someone who is a little more forceful. I have had my health problems nothing life threatening in the near future but long term I needed help. Dr. Helton took charge of my health and has been to say the least aggressive. If your bad cholesterol is 100(which is a good number) he wants mine at 60! He wants my blood pressure lower than most and of course my sugar levels need to be contained. OK now what is nice about the place. They have changed in the last year to more of a clinic type care. I now can get my blood drawn here, there is a a medicine machine that dispenses drugs, and a walk in clinic. I have used the walk in twice. Both times I was seen fast and taken care of fast and prescribed the medicine that would cure my symptoms.
