Brutal. Got here at 4:15 to renew a permit. We are number 18 and they were on 1. After 20 minutes only 2 people have gone through. Huge line and yet these bozos only have 1 person working the license side while keeping 3 people on the title side where there’s essentially no line. I know I know, common sense doesn’t apply here.

I had two different transactions to conduct and was anticipating needing to be in two lines at once or going from one counter to another line. None of that happened. Both of my transactions were conducted in the same area. The clerk was very knowledgeable of all the papers required for each, but one letter I had wasn’t notarized. So, we completed the first transaction, and she asked me to call my insurance company to get a notarized copy of the letter. I stepped out of line to make the call and provide the license bureau’s fax number for sending the required document. This may be a usual occurrence here, because their fax number was posted outside each clerk’s station. In less than 10 minutes, the document had arrived, and she called me back up to complete the second transaction. My, how easy that all was. I did feel sorry for two men: one had two documents, and each had a different VIN, which had to be sorted out; the other had two documents, and each had a different year of make for the vehicle, which had to be sorted out. I didn’t stay to see how those worked out, but both men were still there when I left with all my needed stuff after having paid my share to the state.
