Afters Cafe

Cute and eclectic décor. They offer a variety of desserts and are open a lot later than other bakeries. They don’t make their pastries in house, but they get them from a local bakery, but still tastes delicious. I haven’t tried their yogurt, but they make one of the best (though not a lot of competition) bubble teas in the area. Not too overly sweet.

Afters Café is a little café that offers espresso, pastries, bubble tea, and frozen yogurt. The hubs and I stopped by to grab some snacks — I tried Andy’s Fresh Apple Cider (housemade apple cider made with Gala apples, cinnamon, and seasonal spice; this was served hot (or cold, if you like) and was pretty soothing and tasty); a Pumpkin Mocha Latte (made with illy espresso, steamed milk, pumpkin spice flavor, dark chocolate, and whipped cream; I was not a fan of this, as it tasted more like watered down coffee; I was pretty disappointed with this one!); the hubs tried a Passion Fruit Bubble Tea with light ice and with bubbles — this was not too sweet and was more of a tea form; the hubs stated it was one of the best teas he’s had in quite some time! I also had to try some of their French macarons — the cassis and the passion fruit; both were on the forgettable side, as they were extremely cold and on the chewier end. I have to give a shout-​out to Daniel, because he was just super sweet and awesome! There’s seating inside with even a bookcase with children’s books and such. Cute place to stop by to get some drinks.

Andy’s serves terrific coffee with a smile! The macaroons are AMAZING!

Decent iced coffee. There’s some comfy seating but overall the vibe is more reminiscent of their other specialty as a self-​serve frozen yogurt shop than a traditional coffeehouse. Not a bad option given the odd paucity of good coffee to be found in Fed Hill, though.

They still have a great cappuccino! The 12 oz has 2 shots of espresso and you can get it with soy or almond milk for 50 cents extra. Since I drank it there, I wish they had a ceramic cup big enough instead of the disposable cups so that it reduces waste. The guy is always very nice and don’t forget to bring in your rewards card so you can get freebies for when you reach so many purchases.

Easily the best cappucino I’ve ever had in Baltimore — no need to add any sugar. It’s perfect. Not too much seating but there’s free wi-​fi and comfy couches, and the staff are friendly! Would love to see them open one up in Canton!

A great dessert option within easy walking distance from a lot of the restaurants in the Fed Hill area. I really dig that Afters Café frozen yogurt isn’t icy like other places. We thought it was very rich and creamy. I’m a sucker for chocolate and peanut butter, and both of those flavors were spot on. For a smaller toppings bar, they still had quite a bit of selection to finish off your dessert creation.
My only complaint was that my froyo disappeared from my bowl too fast, it was so good ;)

Came here for coffee and Macaroons and loved it! Have been back a few times, love the atmosphere and comfy couches. Great selection of coffee and frozen yogurt. The macaroons are some of the best I’ve had.

Looking to avoid another experience with the green siren woman, we aimed our feet for this part of town and landed at Afters. Pastries, coffees and six different flavors of frozen yogurt with a decent assortment of toppings. It’s Illy coffee, which is usually quite good.
High top tables, some lower ones with two sofas and seats outside where you can watch the traffic go by on this busy thoroughfare.
Decent service, even if I had to remind the gal that we still needed two cups of cold water in addition to our espressos. Free wifi worked well once I had the password.

A chic, modern café that serves Illy coffee and frozen yogurt. My friends all had the frozen yogurt. They had a good selection of toppings, but I would have to agree with many of the other Unilocalers that the fro-​yo variety was limited. I think they only had 6 flavors out at once. However, the fro-​yo price per ounce was only 49 cents, which is much cheaper than the fro-​yo place down the street.
I think Afters Café definitely has a very innovative component in its menu. While there are many classic coffee selections, I tried Andy’s special creation, which is called Au Lait Orange… basically a latte with orange in it and your choice of dairy/​soy milk. I felt that the combination was definitely very refreshing, especially after walking around under the Baltimore humidity and sunshine. The orange was the main «sugary» component to the drink and gave the entire latte a refreshing sweetness that one normally wouldn’t find in a coffee/​dairy based drink.
There is a large seating area in the front and the back of the café. I found the front area with the couches very comfortable and inviting looking. The back of the café was well designed as a one or two person seating area. Although the design was great, the tables felt a little too sticky.

Love this place! They have six flavors of frozen yogurt, which include original tart, vanilla, chocolate, and three rotating flavors. The chocolate is incredible; it tastes like rich chocolate pudding! If you’re lucky they’ll have cake batter or angel food cake (my personal favorites, especially when topped with Fruity Pebbles). Lots of toppings to choose from, and you pay by the ounce. They also have coffee, tea, and other desserts if ice cream isn’t your thing. The staff is always friendly too!

I love Afters Café! They have the cutest little treats and their froyo is delicious! I love their seating area and that they offer free wifi to customers. I came in with a co-​worker and we were able to sit together, eat sweet treats and get our work done.
My only complaint would be the limited flavors of froyo and that more often than not at least one isn’t working. With a limited amount of flavors I was bummed to see that the one I wanted wasn’t working while I was there. I came back a few days later and it was fixed thank goodness!
Ps. Sometimes they have Nutella froyo– SO good!

I needed something to satisfy my sweet tooth after dinner at Regi’s so my friend and I walked over to Afters. It’s right across the street from Shofer’s on S. Charles st.
Ambiance of the place is great. It reminds me much of a European café, with its stark white modern décor and red accent furniture. It’s very inviting and they have comfy seating. They serve an array of pastries that look delicious. I had my eye on some macaroons but decided to go with some fro yo instead. I will be back for some macaroons though.
They have a decent variety of flavors, their yogurt is more on the tart side though. I was excited to see a Nutella fro yo but it didn’t really compare to the real thing. I settled on regular old tart with fruit toppings. The strawberries were surprisingly good considering they weren’t in season.
The service was excellent as well. Both the barista/​cashier and a guy who I can only assume to be the owner were very friendly and welcoming.
If you’re considering either Afters or Forever Yogurt which is just down the street, they’ve both got their pros and cons. Forever has more flavors and more toppings. The flavor profiles of their fro yo is spot on as well. They’ve got some drinks too. However, their yogurt is just not frozen enough. It comes out really soft and melts quicker which is a huge drawback for me. The space is huge, definitely a big plus if you’re in a big group.
Afters has a smaller selection and the fro yo is a little more on the tart side imo. It’s definitely more of a café and they brew Illy coffee which is delicious. As far as my experience goes the service was better at Afters too. I didn’t get much more than a grunt from the cashier at Forever.
I like em both, just depends on what I’m in the mood for.
If you do end up at Afters, get their loyalty card so you can eat your way to a free fro-​yo!

The only reason they receive one star is because there is not a way to give zero stars. We order from Foodler all the time
to get yogurt from them using our AMEX. Unilocal states they accept credit cards. So my family and I went to yogurt and tried to pay with our AMEX and they don’t accept AMEX. It was an honest mistake but the owner was aggressive and rude and acted like we were trying to get free yogurt. He was completely unprofessional. We got the situation settled after almost an hour and not without me having to run home to get another form of payment. Yogurt is decent. Customer service was terrible. #dontuseAMEX

It was a really hot day and we were looking for some ice cream or fro-​yo to cool us down after lunch. Afters Café came up on Unilocal,so we decided to try it out.
They offer a wide selection of treats and drinks. You can get Italian Sodas, coffee, boba drinks, smoothies, small desserts, and fro-​yo. I wasn’t too impressed or wow’ed by their fro-​yo flavors, but the one’s they had were tasty and satisfying. Mango was about as «wild» as you’re gonna get here as a flavor of fro-​yo.
Like many others, it’s serve your own fro-​yo from a variety of machines with different flavors, then you can add your own toppings, and pay via weight.
The location is on the smaller side, but they have a nice couch section with all kinds of reading books available to you to relax from the heat. On nicer days, you can also use the patio lounge chairs they have out on the sidewalk.
It’s a nice place with a decent selection of offerings, but I’m just not sure what makes this place stand out beyond convenience.

Oh my goodness, I love this place!!! Have you hadYUZU yogurt before?!? It’s freaking amazing and is now my favorite yogurt flavor. It’s creamy with bits of yuzu (like lemon) peel and honey. Never had it, but will be back to have it again!!! SO refreshing and light!!!
I love how they have so many different toppings, including mini yogurt chips which is my favorite, and most yogurt places don’t have it. Plus, the prices are reasonable and they have tons of magazines you can read through.

This was an impromptu stop after a tabletop meet up in Fells Point. The place has is minimal in décor, but does what it does well.
We had the self-​serve yogurt and hot chocolate, both very, very good. The hot chocolate was really rich and could have been cut with some more milk — yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as too much chocolate.
Great little stop, service was only OK, reasonable priced.
Will be back!

I must be missing something, but I thought this place was terrible. Maybe I went on a bad day, but the yogurt was icy and gross. The toppings were all looking in nasty shape. Their AC seemed to be broken, during one of those blazing hot weeks this summer, and it was a million degrees inside.
The only saving grace was that at least it was pretty cheap, so I didn’t insanely regret my decision to throw away half my nasty froyo.

For when you have a froyo craving… and it’s late… AFTERs is what you want.
After is a decent place (and one of the few) in Baltimore to get some froyo, and just by the name, you know it’s open pretty late. Came here on a Saturday night and was glad too see it was open til 12 am.
I’m a big fan of self serve froyo so I can get variety of w/​e toppings I want and a mix of yogurt flavors.
Afters has a very decent selection of flavors, I think I counted around 7 or 8 from mango to the classical tart.
The topping selections was also pretty good – all ur standard toppings as well as some surprises like chocolate covered pomegranate. GREAT TOPPING SELECTIONS.
The only negative thing I have to say was the cleanliness (it might have just been that night, certainly not a deal breaker to not come here). The couches were a bit stained and i had the overall feel that everything needed to be wiped down.
Staff was very friendly, smiles and all.
