I’ve ordered from Asian Taste a decent amount of times since being in college, but today was a MAJOR issue. I always order the same thing, fried wontons and general tso’s off of Grub Hub and after $ 15 you get a free half order of fried(cheese) wontons. Today I ordered off of Grub Hub the same thing I always get. It took 45 minutes longer than usual/expected, i ordered at 6:30 and it didnt arrive until after 8. When i opened the order, the cheese wontons that I always look forward to were different. I took a bite and it was meat so I called to get it corrected. It turned out to be pork, which I don’t eat due to religious reasons. It wasn’t specified online at all that it was not the normal cheese wontons I order and the woman on the phone didn’t seem to care. They said that since my residence is on the border of where they deliver(1.5 miles away), they would just refund me and not deliver me the food I paid for.

Pro-tip: Don’t order Thai or specialty sushi from a casual Chinese carryout place. It won’t end well. Stick to Americanized Chinese like General Tso’s and you’ll do fine. Plan on a 45 min delivery time also. Sometimes I’m pleasantly surprised in 20 min or so but usually its around 45. If you tip well and smile you probably won’t have any issues with the delivery drivers, and I suspect a large problem here is with people being stingy. Overall, this place is pretty good and I’ve been eating here for over a year(delivery only). Just use common sense when ordering and expect casual Chinese food that’s pretty tasty.

Inedible. I ordered the crispy beef. It was really hard to find any beef. It was fried bits of ligaments and fat. The sauce was really thin and overly sweet without heat to balance. This dish is the reason why i stopped ordering Chinese food in general.

When I need to hide from the depression that takes me after Christmas is over, I go here. Their sushi bar extends into a bar-bar. Did i mention the bar glows green and pink? That’s almost Christmas colors! Miami Christmas. I like their dumplings. I love their staff. Sometimes the little boy rings me up. So cute! Talking about this is making me want to order $ 30 of sushi right now! Aaaaaah!

Bah humbug. A Jew working on Christmas sought hot, affordable food. She finally comes upon two places that were open: Asian Taste and Royal Farms. Royal Farms: affordable, fast, comfort food… but shamefully bad for you, and nothing special about it. So she chooses Asian Taste, because after all, she is a Jew on Christmas! She decides to treat herself to something hot and tasty, even if it costs a little more and takes a bit more time. She orders two of her favorite Thai dishes: Green Curry with Shrimp and a Thai Iced Tea. Here are her reviews: The green curry with shrimp… I wouldn’t get it again. Maybe it’s just me. But it was overly sweet, had only a little bit of a kick, and not much else in terms of a flavor profile. I was worried the shrimp would be sketchy since everything else was off, but the shrimp were good, despite having their tails on. I *never* waste food as I am on a budget, but I actually ended up picking out the shrimp, eating them, and tossing the rest of it. But you would think that you can’t mess up Thai iced tea, right? Wrong. It tastes… off. Maybe the ice cubes were not made with filtered water? It was very sweet and it lacked that unique Thai iced tea flavor that I love. So, unfortunately, the lonely Jew on Christmas was pretty disappointed. She wishes she just went to Royal Farms, saved a few bucks, and had a meal she could enjoy, even if it was plain, boring, and unhealthy. I hate to be so negative in a review, but I wouldn’t want anyone else to fall upon the same fate. Really, I would give 2.5 stars for the food, but I am rounding up since they were open on Christmas.

Food is always hot and fresh and beyond amazing. Used to get a headache eating Chinese and I never do here. It says an hour for delivery and they’re always 30 minutes at max. Love it!!!

we have been ordering from this place consistently over the years. I would say the food and delivery men have gotten better over time. decent lunch specials. I see on here that recently they renovated their place to be more of a local bar. I still relegate this place to a takeout place. I ate there once a while ago due to a coupon but found it underwhelming. If they want to make it more of an eat in place, they have to work on their ambience and their service. I have really gotten my regulars down: lo mein, shrimp egg roll, hot and sour soup and general tso’s anything. whether it’s comfort food on a rainy day or when you’re feeling sick, let the msg wash over you and make it all better.

Things have changed at Asian Taste and for the better! Asian Taste has added a full bar and they have a great bartender. They’ve also upped their sushi game big time. I highly recommend sitting at the bar, getting a few drinks, and ordering off their sushi menu.

I wrote a glowing review already, but it got lost. This restaurant is great but I’m irritated with Unilocal for not saving my review from before.

If you haven’t been here in a while or ever, now is the time. The bar staff(yes, they have a bar) is friendly and competent. The food is consistently good. As far as the cheaper side of Chinese food goes, it’s the best for your money in the area. It’s a family owned and run restaurant which is just awesome to see. Take out, delivery, sit down dining or eating at the bar, this place is GREAT!!! Try the drunken noodles!

Sadly this is one of the closest Chinese places that delivers to my home. I have given them three chances to show me they are worth my money. There food is alright… I have had much better Chinese food delivery at other locations. The main issue I have with them is the laziness of the delivery drivers. First of all I recently tore my all and can not move around all that easy without crutches. The delivery man who speaks little to no English called me the first time I ordered and said he was here at the front door. I told him about my injury and asked him to please bring it to my apartment, after all this is delivery and I am paying you for s service. He told me no that I needed to come to him so, what ever, I did. Because of his laziness I decided to not tip him because it was rude and I was in a lot of pain making my way down the steps… He then says to me no tip? I said to him no because of what you did to me… So what eve, right. I gave them another shot except this time I ordered through an app and wrote a note saying please come to the door because I am on crutches. Once again I got a rude man who called me and told me to come down and refused to bring my food to me. So this time I was very agitated and to top it off when I got the food finally in my home the ginger ale I ordered and paid for had a puncture hole in it and leaked all over my food and the bag. It was soaked in the plastic bag. I called and lodged a complaint and absolutely nothing was done about the situation. So guess what, now I will never order from this business again. It is very sad that they act like this because I would love to support the local business around here. However I will not tolerate such terrible customer service. When I am paying you to bring me food that is exactly what you need to do…

I really don’t recommend this place. It’s in a pretty sketchy area and the food doesn’t even taste that good. I ordered the chicken udon and the noodles were really bland. Even though service was fine, it really wasn’t a very enjoyable experience. There are plenty of better restaurants you can go to in the area.

I’ve ordered delivery twice. Both times, I was pleased. I’m currently eating their food as we speak. The last delivery took a while, but hey, sometimes restaurants just get busy, especially on weekends. This time, delivery was super fast. The portions are generous, I have plenty of leftovers. The broccoli in my orange chicken has been fresh both times. Food is piping hot. Rangoons are crisp. No spilled food in bag(common in deliveries). Delivery guy was friendly, and called me to give me a heads up. Plenty of goodies in my rice and noodles. And, they gave me plenty of sauce packets, even though I totally forgot to ask. All around excellent Chinese-American delivery.

I was in the mood for some Chinese food and thought i would give this place a shot. I ordered off of Foodler which was super easy. I must admit I was a bit hesitant to order delivery from Asian Taste based on the not so nice reviews on Unilocal on their delivery service. I made a note of the delivery estimate time on Foodler for that very reason. Anyway, the food was an overall 4 star for me, but I knocked it down to a 3 star rating because I wasn’t too happy with the delivery service. I made a note on my order to either ring my doorbell on my mailbox or call my phone to let me know when i should go down to the front door of my building to get my order. The delivery man rang my doorbell. Normally a 1 to 2 ring would suffice, but the delivery guy continuously rang my doorbell in a frantic obnoxious manner for a good amount of time to the point that he was still ringing it as I was walking down the stairs(I’m on a 3rd floor apartment) and could hear it in the hall. As I approached the bottom landing, he then pounded on the door. He pounded so hard that my neighbor on the 1st floor ran out of his apartment to check the main door with his dogs in tow in alarm. I opened the door confused and irritated since I had immediately left my apartment the minute he rang. The first thing the guy says to me was, «I’ve been calling you!» I immediately looked on my phone and had no missed calls so I told him so. I handed him the money and he was out of there so fast that I don’t remember if he was even polite about it. The only good point was the food delivery was on time based on the Foodler time estimate. That being said, I was pleased with the food. I haven’t found a good Chinese place in the city yet and this fit my need. The Cheese Crabmeat Wontons were a great deal. You get 10 wontons which is a pretty big bag since usually in past experiences, I’ve received 4 – 6. Way more than I would want/need, but its a great deal. haha. They were good. The only negative was I didn’t taste any crabmeat, but usually that’s a hit or miss. I ordered the Dynamite roll. It was just… ok. Dynamite rolls are typically supposed to be spicy and this roll was pretty bland to me. I was turned off that the crab meat on top was very creamy with their mayo that I couldn’t really taste the tuna/salmon. The ingredients tasted fresh at least so I will have to try their other sushi rolls, but I don’t think I will order the Dynamite roll again. The chicken and broccoli was very tasty. Not too greasy and full of flavor so I was very happy with this dish and could see myself ordering this again. Overall, I hope my delivery experience will get better and that this was just a misunderstanding. I could understand frustration if he had kept calling my number and there was no response. He must have been calling the wrong number as I even went back to my foodler account to verify my number and the information was correct. I will have to see how my next experience goes, but at least the food was pretty decent.

I probably would have given them 2.5 stars, but this one star is for their horrible dumplings. I felt it’s a serious offense for an Asian place not to make dumplings properly. The filling was kind of nice, but the wrappers were just huge lumps of flour. We had to scoop out the fillings and throw away most of the wrappers. One of the worst dumpling experiences ever. To be frank the other dish General Tso’s chicken was strictly okay. The dish came with a veggie roll and pork fried rice which was nice. Time of visit: Take out at 7pm on a weekday Price: Moderate Portion Size: Moderate-to-Large Décor: N/A Food profile: Typical American Chinese flavors. All dishes seem to have the same sauce. Service/Delivery: Good Food wait time: 40 minutes Food quality: Yet another round the corner Chinese restaurant

I’ve ordered their delicious take out before but, my last visit was for the late night happy hour. I’d heard rumblings about their late night happy hour which runs from 11pm-2am. I was a bit excited because I do enjoy their food. Upon entering I saw their main overhead menu turned off and immediately frowned a little. They have a completely different late night menu. I did ask the bartender what’s up with that? I was informed they may be in the search for a sushi chef to extend the menu a bit. This would be most wonderful if they did. Nonetheless I’m a trooper! I thought ok, has to be something I’d like on the late night menu. While embibing my Natty Boh and shot(5 Bucks by the way!) I perused the menu. My friends and I settled on several things. Ordered up: Fried Oysters, seafood rolls, crawfish and calamari. The fried oysters were good. Could’ve stood for a taste bit more seasoning but, I wasn’t mad. Old bay tends to work in a pinch. I asked for some and they kindly obliged. The calamari was pretty tasty. Not over fried and heavily battered. The seafood rolls were spring roll-esque, it was stuffed with several types of seafood. The sweet dipping sauce worked well with them. It satisfied my sweet, salty, crunchy and savory thing my taste buds have a love affair with. The crawfish were passable. If you like plain boil crawfish, then these are for you. I like mines with a little more seasoning. Again, I just a dashed old bay. I guess I typed all that to say that Asian Taste’s late night happy hour has potential with a few tweaks. Will come again. :) Oh. Ps. They have an earlier happy hr. Maybe I could get some sushi then…
