History
Established in 2015.
Founded in the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore. The small doughnut shop started in their garage like most successful tech startups, except their garage was converted into a mini bakery, taking orders through Facebook and eventually opening up a storefront in a city flooded with Dunkin Donuts.
The owners found opportunity when there were no gourmet doughnut options in the City besides seasonal farmer market vendors, and fell in love with Hampden.
The owners didn’t just want to open up a doughnut shop, they wanted to offer a doughnut people were not used to seeing. Doughnuts, made by hand, and from scratch.

B. Doughnut Is A Small, Family Business — Owned And Operated By Husband And Wife (Brian & Pin Chanthapanya). They’re The Duo With Smiles On Their Faces When You’re Walking Through That Door. Brian And Pin Started Making Doughnuts Out Of Their Garage And Delivered Locally To Homes, Schools, And Businesses In Northern Virginia And Opened Up In Hampden In October 2015.
At B. Doughnut, We Are Not Your Average Doughnut Shop, And You Probably Won’t Find Your Average Doughnut. We Take An Artisan Approach To Doughnuts, Quality Over Quantity. We Don’t Have A Factory, Donut Robots, Or A Big Kitchen Staff That Can Churn Out Thousands Of Doughnuts A Day.
We Roll Each And Every Doughnut By Hand, In Small Batches, From Scratch, Using Nothing But Flour, Eggs, Water, Yeast, Salt, Sugar, And Butter, Measured By Scale To Get A Precise Amount Each Time. We Don’t Use Any Preservatives Or Artificial Ingredients.
