Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards

My boyfriend and I attended the Baltimore v Pittsburgh game and chose this hotel due to it being in walking distance of the stadium.
Pros: friendly staff, nice spacious rooms, the beds are the softest I’ve ever slept in for a hotel, and the room was clean.
Cons: parking is horrid (we used the hotel’s) and hotel parking is pricy too ($ 28 for a day (I figured for the price we were paying parking would be free)) my only problem with the staff is when my boyfriend and I ordered food she called up to our room and was very rude about it. «Did you order food?» «Yes ma’am» «well it’s here and they are NOT allowed to come up» then when I got down there she gave me a rude look and eye roll. (Besides that all my other staff encounters were great)

This hotel is not good. And not just for the price. But extra concerning with the price because it’s not cheap. It’s seriously outdated. The customer service is bad for the most part — I could give a few examples but I’ll leave it at that. I would never plan a conference here or stay here. The conference food was not good, the hotel staff could be heard in the back during sessions, the audio was horrible… My friend had to switch rooms be caused it reaked of smoke. New room had a broken toilet and a Murphy bed. Not a good one. My beds had hair in them. The toiletries were used. My other colleague’s room had a giant wet spot on the carpet. Everything just seemed old and dirty. There was no at the concierge when needed. There was cockroaches in the gym. I did report it to the manager and I could tell he heard me and was concerned. I hope the Marriott chain puts some love into this location. Haven’t had a bad experience to this degree in a while.

Not what I’ve come to expect from a Marriott. This hotel is cheaply furnished complete with all polyester bedding and the rooms smell like they’ve been soaked in cheap artificial headache inducing air freshener to cover up the smell of mold.
The staff seemed like they hate their jobs, and yelled at me and each other more like at a McDonald’s than a hotel. The bar food was simply gross.
Overall more akin to a red roof inn than a Marriott.

Why is parking $ 28 a day here? That’s just overpriced. Rather half-​hearted greetings from the staff, but a clean and spacious hotel room. The décor seemed dated and in need of remodeling. Little details take a star off or two: the deteriorating tile grout in the bathroom, the literal 7 minute walk from the elevator to my room (this hotel needs more elevator shafts). The bar in the lobby had some interesting beer choices («Sweet Baby Jesus» did NOT disappoint) and good food. If it hadn’t been for a conference that was held in this hotel I would have checked out. This hotel is overpriced for what it offers in a very seemingly depressed area.

The hotel was nice but $ 28 a day for parking is a little absurd. Parking in the hotel parking garage is the same as parking anywhere else in the city. The beds were nice and there was a mini fridge… Or I think the better term is mini freezer we had put lemons and limes in the fridge and they ended up being completely frozen when we came back from the baseball game. The staff was super friendly and my only real complaint is the parking price I feel as if I am paying all the money to stay in the hotel I should get a discounted price on the parking.

If you are visiting Baltimore or just want a fabulous hotel to stay in for an Orioles or Ravens game do not hesitate to book here. I can’t begin to express the amazing customer service this hotel gives to guests. Every time I walk into the hotel I am greeted by the staff who genuinely are happy to help. Also, the hotel has a cool beer wall with areas to to drink on the lobby floor and get out of your room, if needed.

The 3 stars is for the over use of security. It was Baltimore after the riots, but come. on. All the outer doors were locked and required your key to enter, unless you wanted to go around to the rotating doors around the drop off, where I was almost tagged by a cab. The hotel itself is nice enough; it’s a Marriott. Nothing spectacular, but certainly nice. Check in was a little slow and they had messed up our reservation (we were part of a group seminar); later they had charged incorrectly and also charged the group! I likely wouldn’t stay in this area again. It’s a little far from the places I wanted to walk to, but great if you are going to an Orioles game.

What you expect from a Marriott and close to everything.
A very nice hotel. Clean on the outside. Staff super friendly and courteous. Room was spacious and clean. Sufficiently sized desk, TV, bathroom. AC worked excellently. Bathroom amenities plentiful, towels soft and huge, there’s a bath robe in the closet. Water pressure more than adequate, temperature easily controlled.
Fitness room includes elliptical machines, treadmills, stationary bikes for cardio and dumb-​bells and a cable machine for weight training. Pool looked clean but I did not use it. There is a bar within and our bartender, Mike, treated us very well. There is a city-​owned parking garage attached.
It should be noted, there’s a fire station across the street so you’ll hear sirens during your stay. That being said, I did not hear a single siren at night, not saying the FD didn’t respond, but they probably used the siren less than they would during the day.
You won’t be sorry staying here

Naturally I’m always inclined to seek out the Marriott brand because of many amazing past experiences. I was not familiar with this particular location, but decided of the two local Marriott hotels, this would be the better choice, based on my expected plans.
Parking: $ 28 per day… no biggie, but if I’m paying that amount each day I’d think they’d invest in a valet system. For $ 28 I want to drive up, hand over my valet key and simply walk in.
Check-​In: Seamless. We were checked-​in and given generic hotel information in under 5 minutes. Also taken into consideration was the fact that we were also the only customers in line. They also deserve kudos for allowing us a really early 12pm vs. 4pm standard check-​in.
Room Location: Totally sucked. On the 6^th floor, alllll the way at the end of the hall. I get it, alot of the better rooms were being cleaned so this was definitely the bottom of the barrel at such an early timeframe.
Room Amenities: The room was pretty accommodating, albeit much smaller than previous Marriott locations I’ve frequented. The television was a 40″ flat screen, a hidden refrigerator was located in the the dresser and they provided a microwave upon request. But the bed deserved the standing ovation… it was freaking AMAZING. I have traveled this great world a few times over and luxuriated in many a fine beds, but this one has been placed in my top 5. I was floating on a cloud of fluffiness, wrapped in marshmallows on an air of Goose-​down feathers. Devine… but au contraire my fellow Unilocalers… let us continue.
Water Temperature: I usually conduct a function and cleanliness inspection upon arriving. All was well until I checked the water pressure and temperature of the hot water. The pressure was decent but the water temperature was lukewarm at best. I immediately phoned this in to the front desk. She said she’d send a technician up promptly. I had other matters to attend to so I wasn’t present when the said technician arrived. Hours later I arrive back in my room, tired, weary and ready for «that» shower. Uggggg the water temperature was actually worst! I quickly took the fastest shower of my life and called the front desk again. She wanted to send another technician to my room but it was very late and I was drained… and upset. I was told that a manager would be emailed and would notify me the next morning. That sufficed for the time being. The next day after speaking with management, the hotel comped the daily parking charge for our inconvenience.
Overall, decent hotel, convenient location and modern amenities. I’d recommend.

Stayed at the Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards over this past weekend (1 night); our check in was quick, easy, and we were off to room 705. Nice room, view was of the top of the roof and some of downtown, but we weren’t in the Caribbean so the view wasn’t a major factor to me. The room was kept, the beds ridiculously comfortable and the shower was good! Later on that night our tv wasn’t working so we called the front desk and within moments 2 technicians were there to fix it — unfortunately they could not get the tv to work, and offered us another room. We didn’t feel like moving so we simply hooked up our laptop and PS4 and watched tv that way. it really was no big deal for us, we were about to head back out for a late dinner anyways. Upon our return (around midnight) we had a card slipped under the door for complementary breakfast for us all to apologize for the inconvenience which I thought was a great touch. In the morning we were in need of a microwave for leftovers, and literally within 5 minutes one was at our door — another plus! The $ 28 parking fee is a bummer, but its actually one of the cheaper rates I’ve paid when having to pay for parking so it was what it was-​although those other times it was valet, so yeah $ 28 is a bit steep for self-​parking. Oh and also, they had cucumber and fruit infused water in the lobby — yes its the little things that excite me. My only real concern is that after leaving my card was charged an additional $ 17, but quickly refunded, and now my card has a $ 60.00 hold on it — which should be $ 50. Since the amounts are not crazy I will give it a few days to see what the final charge is before I panic.

From the initial greeting I was not impressed. The outside décor looks beaten, dated, and weathered. There is a very odd display of the Orioles gear placed inside of the revolving door, which I originally mistook for janitorial equipment.
The staff seemed very disconnected and gave us half-​ass greetings. We go to check in and of course what should have been a room fully paid for by my company was again charged to my credit card, which was over $ 1000.00! I told the lady behind the counter that my hotel was previously paid for on our company card and she basically looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. She did not make an attempt to rectify the situation or even apologize for the mix up or provide a solution. She kept repeating, «the room is not paid for». I go ahead and have her charge my card and will deal with the balance with my employer because it was obvious i was getting no where fast with this chic.
I go to the restaurant and order dinner which was pretty decent. Once done im standing at the bell desk to get my bags and theres no one anywhere to be found. The one person helping at the front desk kept looking in our direction, but did nothing to assist. After several minutes a security guard (who wasnt manning his station) comes out of nowhere asking if we want our bags. DUH! I politely tucked my tip back in my purse and went to my room, only to find more dated, worn down carpet, furniture, just about everything. Im a stickler about cleanliness, especially carpet. I dont want to stay in a hotel where I feel like I cant take my shoes off. NO BUENO.
This place needs immediate renovations, especially to carry the Marriott brand.

Concierge was fantastic. Shower is awesome. Love the water pressure. The bed is ohh so fluffy. I wish there’d be more pillows! Smoking area is very comfortable and i love it coz i feel safe there. Well lit and the hotel has provided really nice furnitures there. Thumbs up for that. However, i am just not happy with the wifi. It’s 2015. Wifi should be free! We paid for the high speed internet (12.95 $ per day) is not worth it. Too slow. And oh, the hotel rooms are not really good with sound proofing. Walking down the quiet hall and hearing laughter from one of the rooms was spooky!

Sorry, Marriott that I didn’t review this more timely and closer to the time I stayed. I really love this place. Great location, staff and amenities. Unfortunately I visited during wartime (Baltimore riots). The staff was very friendly and willing to always help, but at the same time keep their guests protected and safe (it’s wartime, remember?). They have this cool concept of serve your own craft brews in the lobby. Great concierge staff with excellent snacks, drinks and full breakfast for those who can access. The gym was very good with all the usual Marriott/​LifeFitness equipment. Very open lobby. Hotel has a protected parking garage. Very close to Camden Yards or the Convention Center.

Very nice hotel in a not very nice area. Really wouldn’t walk around after dark outside.
Convenient to Camden Yards and UMMC, but not much else.
Very nice room, great beds and amenities, the executive lounge is fantastic, open all day but not Saturdays for some reason.
Room service is friendly and the crab soup is great!
Overall a great place to stay if you need to be in that area.

First off – the beds in this hotel are awesome! Really comfortable and welcoming. That’s the best thing about the hotel as far as I’m concerned!
Second best… location, if you are going to a Os game or if you want to walk over to Federal Hill.
The service is somewhat impersonal, and the check in /​out process feels longer than it should as the people behind the counters seem to constantly be called away or distracted by conversations.
One just odd thing; in the room, there is an envelop for gratuities for the people who clean the room. Now, I know sometimes people leave money as tips for the cleaning staff, but it seems odd to me that the hotel would print and leave an envelop for that purpose. Isn’t that kind of an admission that they don’t think they are paying their staff enough? Even at a hotel that is charging $ 400+ per night, are they really saying that they are not giving enough of that rate to the cleaning people so they are asking the customers to dig out another $ 10 so that their staff is making a decent wage?
Is it just me or do you agree this is a weird thing to ask?

Never again. If I could give no star I would.
One word: mice.
I was staying at the Marriott for a month with a large group on business. Rooms are on the smaller side for such a long stay but typical of a standard hotel room. About 2 weeks into our stay people began complaining of seeing mice in their rooms and in the restaurant area. My third week in I saw a mouse … YES A MOUSE … run across my floor in my room and under 1 of the beds. After a few minutes of me completely freaking out it ran from under the bed and out of the room under the room door. NEVER in all of the hotels I have stayed in across the country have I ever had to deal with this.
Sidebar: I keep my hotel rooms very tidy … I’m the person who straightens up before room service comes. So the mouse was not attracted to anything left thrown around my room!
When I contacted to front desk all they offered was to move me to another room .lol ummm thanks but that’s not really any help.
1. I have a months worth of stuff with me to move so it’s not really convenient
2. If there are mice in the restaurant and the 3^rd floor they are more than likely running around the whole establishment!
I told the woman at the front desk I was not the first person to have a complaint about mice and suggested they do something to set traps or poison around but they said they can’t do that in occupied rooms. The woman at the front desk said she would «let maintenance know.»
As far as the staff outside of this incident everyone has been very friendly. Wifi is slow, tv channel options are slim to none, no free continental breakfast. The location is not so great … Go a few blocks opposite of the harbor and you end up in a not so nice area. Can’t comment on price as my stay was covered by my employer.

I love the Marriott and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in downtown Baltimore.
I stay here during the week when I travel for work and it’s a close walk to my office. My project has negotiated a lower rate and I get the perks of free Wi-​Fi and access to the concierge lounge. There’s great breakfast options (eggs, pastries, oatmeal, cereal, fruits, snacks). They also serve a dinnertime «snack» and dessert service, but it’s a great dinner option (steak, salmon, dumplings, salads, cheesecake). The attendants at the concierge lounge are amazing! Shoutout to Rochelle who is so sweet and absolutely accommodating. She knows that members on my team often stay late and gave us her extension number for us to call ahead to ask for a saved plate of food. It can’t get better than that!
The gym is sub-​par, but as long as they have a treadmill and a TV, I get what I need out of it. The rooms are so comfortable, spacious and include fridges. Service is great and I always come back to a room that is spick and span. Sometimes, when I leave in a hurry and my clothes are thrown on the floor, the cleaning attendants will even fold and lay out my clothes: O
The Marriott Inner Harbor hotel in Baltimore is the best in town!

My King Junior Suite was awesome. This place is very nice. The bar /​restaurant is lively and has good drinks and food — something most hotels can’t say.
The staff is friendly and welcoming. The temperature control was somewhat frustrating as it decided whether it was heat or A/​c not yourself. Also a fridge would have been nice. The parking is expensive, the rooms are expensive, and the internet is expensive. But it’s a Marriott.

We decided to spend the New Year downtown at the Baltimore Harbor. Although we only live about 25 minutes from Baltimore city we didn’t want the hassle of driving home and staying at the harbor gave us a night out, so why not! Arriving at the Camden Yards Marriott was pretty easy. We payed $ 27 for guest parking for the night. Arriving in the lobby we were greeted by a super festive atmosphere! They provided complimentary glasses of champagne, Sangria and another beverage. The hotel staff was very friendly and warm. We were checked in very quickly and the attendant that helped us was great, we even got complimentary New Years party favors! Quick stop at the bar provided great service and a free shot! The place was also decorated to the hilt for the Holidays. Our room had a great view of the city and was very clean with soft bedding. We ordered room service. Room service is always expensive so I won’t knock them on the prices because that’s always expected. We ordered eggs Benedict and a breakfast sandwich and both were good. I think my only complaints would be that the walls are extremely thin and the room temperature is a bit hard to regulate. We heard EVERYTHING that was going on in the room next to us all hours of the night… no further details on that. So needless to say my sleep was less than enjoyable. All and all I would more than likely stay there again, but hope for quiet neighbors.
