The boy who works on Saturday night around 8:50pm is horrid. He is rude, ignorant, and ghetto and it pains me to say this about a fellow black person. He has no people skills, no critical thinking skills, and he does not enunciate when he speaks. I asked him his name the times and still did not understand him. I asked him to spell it and he did not. This is the second time I have encountered him and left without making my purchase because of him. First they did not have all the items in the item we ordered and he did not give us this information ahead of time. He then said even though they did not have pecans we were not allowed to substitute items. He said no substitutions were allowed. I do not eat almonds and always substitute them. He is the first. Aside from the ice cream he as a person is horrible and will cost the company many customers including this one!

Nothing special. This place has mediocre and over priced ice cream. Mine tasted the same as store bought brands. This location is also understaffed. I felt stressed and rushed while ordering since the poor workers were trying to get through the line. There is also a lack of seating.

OHHECKNO. NOPENOPENOPE. IF I COULDRATENOSTAR I WOULD. This was the direst and trashiest cold stone I ever walked into. TRASHEVERYWHERE. Sticky gooey ice cream trash all over the place! My shoes where sticking to the floor it was so gross in there. There was even trash just sitting at the register counter. Just a slop of chocolate syrup smeared across the glass. What in the hell? I understand this location is near a college campus but do they have to be blasting trap music at top volume every time??? Only one person working the line and register and you could tell he wanted to be anywhere but there. I asked the gentleman for his name and he wouldn’t even give it nor did he have a name tag on. What in the world is going on at this location! It needs to be investigated by corporate!!! Even with only one person working there should never be that much trash in or around a place where consumers are EATING!!! HORRIBLEEXPERIENCE!!!

One person working on a Saturday night, making ice cream and handling the register! Come On! Hire more people! On a night like tonight there should be more than 1 person. Especially at this location!

The service here really is awful. If it wasn’t for the fact that it’s the closest coldstone I would probably avoid it.

1 Person working the ice cream station and the register at the same time and the line is to the door — SMH!!! She is nice but we like Fast Service and its Not A One Man Show. Anyway…No More Molten Lava for me. It’s just a warm chocolate sponge cake with very little flavor. Will try something else at another store.

Ice cream was good but getting it wasn’t easy. Line was long, staff was slow and chatty and wasn’t welcoming customers. Finding seats was another challenge because chairs and tables were few. I tried their strawberry blonde and cheesecake fantasy. One with waffle cone and other with bowl. Both were good.

They are a little slow. And do not sing with tips. There was a line of at least 8 people in line, and the one employee was making waffle cones and refused to make eye contact… There were at least three folks in there and only one was making ice cream dishes. There was only one employee who was actually nice and taking the job seriously.

Long lines, poor service, employee attitudes. Playing music so loud you could not hear. Poor management, expensive. Not worth it.

Apparently, service here at this location hasn’t improved too much since the earlier reviews. LoML and I stopped in after a quick dinner at Potbelly for a treat, and the line was out the door… and remained out the door for a good 20 minutes. They had what was probably the three slowest employees on the face of the earth back there; apparently text messages on one’s cell phone was much more enticing than actually doing their jobs. I was beyond irritated by the time we finally got out of there. Also, the overhead music is insanely loud. INSANELY. Seriously, if I have to shout my order across the counter in order to be heard, it’s too freaking high — turn it the hell down. Of course… that could be a deliberate move, since the employees didn’t seem too damned interested in anything but those text messages. Probably one of the worst service experiences I’ve had in recent memory. Really, the product is great — which is why the two stars — but they seriously need to revamp the staff at this location. At least get people who PRETEND to give a crap about their work, okay? Tip for Diabetics: Eh. You may as well completely write this place off. There is absolutely NOTHING you can have here that’s safe. I had a «Like It» size of frozen yogurt, knowing that I’d have to take a bolus — but my God, the numbers were scary, seriously scary. They were so bad that the levels were STILL high even into the next morning. That is not something I’m willing to risk even once. There are absolutely no alternatives here. Even the so-called«Sinless Smoothies» will hurt — yes, they’re made with Splenda, and plenty of sugar alcohol to boot(which is just as bad, if not worse). As always, everyone is different, but I just don’t even see how any diabetic can have anything from here without risking a huge level spike. Be careful. For me, personally, I won’t be back. Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor. YMMV. Seek medical advice and tailor my review to your situation. I simply provide opinion.

Service sucks!!! Two employees were flirting with each other while customers waited. The«cold stone» counter where they mix the ice cream was filthy. I don’t live in the neighborhood so probably won’t go back to this store. Just saw comments by Monica B from 11⁄09. Probably different workers since so long ago but, are you kidding me?! My experience was identical including the customers behind us being served faster. And the racial set up was also the same! I will absolutely avoid this store!

I went to this place yesterday with a friend who wanted Chipotle. The place was empty since it was cold outside and there were 3 workers and 1 customer at the cash register. I had a feeling they were avoiding me because when two other customers came in after me the workers tried to ask THEM what they wanted even though I was clearly in front of the line for the past 10 minutes. I politely asked(even though I was already pissed at this point) for the strawberry banana in the Like It size and when I finally got my order in, the worker took 10 more minutes mixing and said it was too big for the Like It size so she plopped the half-melted glob in the Love It size. After practically having the change thrown at me at the register(wth???), I went back to my car and realized she charged for the bigger size that I DIDNOTREQUEST. Are you kidding?! I’m not sure why they were so rude and completely failed at their oh-so-difficult job, but my friend did point out that we were the only Asians while the workers and the other three customers were black. Just to clear up the stereotype, we speak perfect English with no accent and we are usually very friendly to the workers. I’m a huge fan of Cold Stone and the ice cream was tasty, but the service here was unbelievable. My friend and I will never come back to this place.

A nice franchise of Cold Stone, just diagonally across from the Barnes and Noble and right in the middle of Charles Village. The staff here are friendly and occasionally and spontaneously break in to song. They have a few chairs outside. This is a nice place to get a post-dinner sumthing sumthing…
