I would give it 5 stars, but the price is a little over the top. Thankfully we had a coupon =D Went for a special occasion and found the place to be beautifully decorated, yes the tree is over the top, but it’s all about ambiance. We ordered the oysters special with cheese and spinach, YUM. I know we both got pasta, but i can’t recall what. I do recall the dishes were ample and i had leftovers that i enjoyed. All in all, def a special occasion for the price, but coupons are helpful ;)

Good but not great would be the way I would summarize my experience here. Service was good and the ambiance was nice(we sat in the inner circle around the big tree). I was hoping to get a nicer view of the outside area but their drapes were a little too low which kind of frustrated that. My starter was your traditional Italian style salad. Good but nothing to rave about. My girlfriend had a chicken soup that had pasta dumplings in it. Very good. Tasted very fresh and home made. My entrée was the veal picatta. Came over a bed of pasta. Nothing amazing. I was hoping the picatta was going to have more of a golden crisp on the outside but this was not the case. My girlfriend has a seafood linguine in a spicy tomato sauce. Good but a tad too spicy. For dessert we had cannolis and they were pretty good. Best part of the meal was the Italian black olives they bring out at the beginning of the meal. Delicious.

Ok, I don’t get the tree in the middle of the dining room, but the food was very good. Maybe one of the best bolognese I’ve had, and living in Philly, that’s saying a lot. The veal tenderloin was very tender, had great flavor and was quite large. Caesar salad was the way I liked it, with lot’s of anchovies and crisp and cold. The special soup of the day was Minestrone, and was excellent. They have a very good wine list by the glass and the service was attentive. On a Saturday night they were busy, but not packed. Prices are moderate, it’s within walking distance of the new Harbor East complex of hotels, and plenty of spots after dinner to stop in and have an after dinner cocktail.

So… Della Notte looks pretty nice on the inside. Unfortunately, its food doesn’t reflect that just as well. Most of the items on their menu is pretty classic Italian. Nothing is really all that special. Similarly, nothing is terrible either. I’ve been here for lunch on a Sunday, and it was nearly empty. However, waiters seemed to be aloof and service was kind of slow for the amount of available workers. Overall, I’d liken this place to a fancier version of Olive Garden, and since that’s my take, I’d probably go there next time over Della Notte since it’s cheaper.

I don’t know if I just happened to be unlucky but this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in term of service. To start things off, we had to wait 45 minutes for our food to come out. When it finally arrived, I got quail instead of the duck I had ordered. Add another 20 minutes while we wait for the duck to come out. While we’re waiting, the water refill guy(not the server) comes and refills my glass and manages to spill it on my shirt, pants, and jacket. To make up for the late food and mix-up, the server gives us each(2 of us) a free drink and a dessert. When we finally got to eat our food, it was very exquisite and delicious. It was by far the food I’ve eaten in recent years. I did mention everything(including the water incident) to the manager after we finished our dinner and he offered to pay for everything during our next visit. Even though our experience was less than stellar, I have to give them credit for redeeming themselves the way they did.

My boyfriend and I had a great dinner at Della Notte. The food was fantastic. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It was perfectly cooked. The atmospere is very nice. It is a round dining room with a huge tree in the middle. The lighting is low and romantic. The waiter we had was wonderful. His name was John, and if you go there, I recommend requesting him. He knows every inch of the menue down to the quality of Baltimore water… a very charming man. We had a great time at Della Notte in Baltimore inner harbor Little Italy.

We had a LivingSocial deal that was about to expire, so we made reservations last week for dinner last night. We were lucky enough to snag the last parking spot on their free parking lot; not a lot of parking for the size of the place, but at least it’s not street parking like everywhere else in Little Italy! We were offered our choice of seats when we checked in; the main room was bustling and noisy, and we had wanted to come here because we had heard how romantic it was. We opted for a side room that seemed more intimate. Big mistake. We were wedged in between two other parties, and then a group of at least 20 was seated directly behind us. It was so loud the entire time we could barely hear each other, and if we had spoken up the parties next to us would have been part of the conversation. The side room was also freezing, and even though servers adjusted the temp several times at the request of various tables, it didn’t warm up until just before we left. The gentleman at the table next us commented to his companion that this room was actually comfortable compared to how cold the main room was when he went out to the restroom! I started off with the tomato and basil salad, which was delicious. I’ve been on a kick with this kind of salad since going to Chazz a few weeks back. This salad was great and a good size; half of a bowl of halved and sliced cherry red and yellow tomatoes in balsamic vinegar and olive oil with basil chiffonade, garlic and shallots. It came with a tiny scoop of goat cheese and a single toasted slice of crostini; I could have used more goat cheese and bread, but the salad was very very good. I’ve been making the same dish at home for ages and know full well that there was no need for Della Notte to charge $ 9 for it, but it did hit the spot and was exactly the taste I was looking for. The BF got the Caesar salad. He said you could barely tell that it was dressed, and thought it was pretty pedestrian. It was an average sized portion for the $ 8 price tag. He was not impressed. For our entrees, I ordered the Paparadelle Bolognese and he got the Crab Fettuccine. I loved mine, although the portion was surprisingly small for $ 28. There was way more meat ragu than noodles, and while I do prefer a saucier pasta dish than most people, if I hadn’t been full from the complimentary bread and olive starter and my tomato salad, I would have eaten every bite and left hungry. The BF actually did leave hungry. He ate his entire portion of crab and pasta even though he thought it was a bit sweet and didn’t really care for it. And when we got home he re-heated some leftover pasta that was in the fridge from another restaurant and ate that too! Even though I would have loved some tiramisu, we were so cold we just wanted to leave, so we got the check. Our server was excellent up until she checked to make sure we liked our dinners, then she simply disappeared. We never saw her again, and when another server brought the check, we had been charged for the full dinner without the LivingSocial deal that I gave to our server upon being seated. When yet another server came by to pick up the check(we had just put in the book the money for the coupon difference and the tip) I explained to her the situation and she said that she understood and said she would take care ot it, so we left. I do want to make mention of the busser that was working. He was the hardest working man in the restaurant last night. He was constantly in a state of motion, clearing off tables, boxing up leftovers, providing additional silverware, etc. I stopped on the way out to tell him what a great job he was doing, he was a whirling dervish the entire time we were there. I know the BF has no intention of coming back, he thought the place was tacky and pretentious and that the portions were just not worth the $$$ but I would love to try it again, maybe during Restaurant Week or something. There are so many other great places to try in Little Italy though, I’d probably try out somewhere new first before coming back again.

I really liked this restaurant and went to this restaurant like twice every month(despite of their crazy expensive price on menu?!), but last night was a HUGE appointment. My friend came here for a business trip and I took him here for nice treat and it turned out to be a DISASTER!!! We were sat immediately and a Spanish guy served us water and bread… we waited about 15 min, our server finally showed up and asked us for drinks and also asked us what we want to order(come on, you should ask drink first, serve the drink and ask what we want to order, right?) But that’s OK, we ordered, my friend is a meat lover so he ordered Fillet Mignon, cooked Medium, and I ordered the Fettuccine. We waited about 30 min before we got the entrees and of course, the Fillet Mignon was SUPERWELLDONE and it was served without even a STEAKKNIFE!!! After talking to couple Spanish guys and one other waiter, finally our waiter came, we showed him this WELLCOOKED meat. All he said was: «I am sorry and I think our kitchen was confused about how much you want the steak to be cooked.» Excuse me? Your kitchen was confused not because of me, it’s either your fault or your kitchen’s fault. Are you supposed to serve another piece of medium steak or take this one off my check? Hell no… they made me pay for this $ 40SUPERWELLDONE steak. Well, at least… Fettuccine was good… as always… but I decided NEVER go back again!!!

We went because we had a groupon. We made a reservation for 8pm but called at 7pm to see if they can seat us if we arrived in 15 minutes and the hostess said it would be no problem. When we arrived, the new hostess said that wasn’t possible and we had to wait. Fortunately, they gave us a seat in 20 minutes, so we were seated before 8 at least but it was still a little inconvenient to wait. The food was very good — we got their fried saffron rice, which was amazing. The crabcake and our pasta entrees were also very well made. The desserts were standard but good. Our server was very involved with the menu, recommended their famous crabcakes and accomodated our requests. The only issue came in when we ordered their chocolate cake for dessert and he asked us if we liked vanilla gelato. We said we did and he said good because I think the cake needs it. So we said ok. When the bill showed up, we were charged $ 4 extra for the gelato — something our server didn’t mention. This left a slightly bitter taste in our mouth about him.

Went there for the Restaurant Week(Summer 2012). Seated right away, fresh bread and a bowl of olives/artichokes arrived right away, water(refilled promptly). They have a huge wine selection and on Monday nights every wine bottle is 50% off. Also, all the drinks are 50% 4 – 7 pm… Ambiance was excellent, white tablecloth, impeccable service, we were impressed. Ordered salads arrived in minutes, wine was nice and chilled(some American Riesling by the glass). Caesar salad was excellent, although lacking anchovies on the side(but truly, we did not ask ahead, maybe you have to ask). I had arugula/goat cheese salad, it was excellent. Entrée-I had a restaurant week salmon fillet, big portion with eggplant caponata. Amazing. Salmon had skin on and grill marks, always a plus in my opinion. My companion had linguine with clams, OMG, they were heavenly buttery good! Once again, service is spotless, so attentive!!! then we had coffee, the best coffee ever. Free refills on that, I had a wonderful cup of espresso, polished it off with a wonderful tiramisu. What a place, what a dinner. Would definitely return. They did not disappoint for the Restaurant Week. Later(oh, what a service!), as we were walking towards the door, the maitre d’ followed us and I guess he was about to open the doors for us(two ladies), but I did not plan on his actions and opened it first, it was a bit awkward, but I’ve never expected the service like this. Wonderful experience, great place. Also, place had nice music playing in the background, candles on the tables. Carrying a conversation was pretty easy, the place is not noisy at all, maybe because of these high cathedral ceilings. Very impressive and very classy. It is not Italian comfort food, but something upscale, to celebrate or impress someone, good for romantic dinners.

The ambience of Della Notte is an attempt at elegance with a hint of tackiness. It was oddly very empty on a sunday night… But enough about that let’s get to the food. The lump crab fettucine was amazing! REALLARGE fresh lump crab meat(even though it had bits of crab shell-is that normal?) and the spaghettini was fab and flavorful. The grape tomato salad with crostini was super tasty though they def overloaded it with the dressing. The desserts were okay-but I’m really excited to return and try more dinner entrée items! The prices were a bit steep but hey i had a living social deal :)

Seated immediately. Waiter kind of weird and didnt seem to know the menu very well perhaps he was new. Though he did come back with a good wine recommedation for the Chilean sea bass. I the tomato salad with goat cheese… simply amazing. Already full! Too bad I am traveling and can’t take home the leftovers.

I loved the food at this restaurant. This is fine dining Italian style. The ambiance is truly beautiful and the service was excellent. My only drawback from giving this place 5 stars are the prices. I don’t mind paying a decent amount for pasta. But 42.00 for seafood pasta a la carte is ridiculous in little Italy. The prices were too high for me to eat here regularly. But the food is amazing. I had the ceasar salad. Which I shared with my date. It was very tasty and loaded with anchovies. My husband got the mushroom pasta. His portion was microscopic. Poor guy was still hungry so we had to go to vaccaros for dessert. My entrée was the ny strip perfectly grilled on a bed of asparagus hash browns. Tasty. I’d reccomend this place for special occasions or if you are very wealthy. P. S they have free parking.

A somewhat pretentious joint with so-so food. Ordered the quail and it was way oversalted. The espresso smelled of cigarette ash. I guess washing the espresso machine once in a while may be a good idea. The classical music selection was nice, but the sound system was weak, which made the music just annoying.

So, the best part about staying by the Harbour is that there are SO many options for dining experiences. I don’t think we ate at the same place one time in two weeks! We found this restaurant out of the Dish Baltimore magazine we got from our hotel at the Hyatt Regency and the pictures looked amazing for the food so we gave it a go. We went early enough where we beat the night time crowd, and was seated immediately. The atmosphere seems rustic Italiano and it is beautiful. Our booth was private, as is most of the others, in such a large space. Our waiter honestly could have been more personable — he kinda was a killjoy when we were so excited to try this place. The food was great though – they did well to accomodate my ‘low-sodium’ with whole grain pasta request, and my friends seafood platter seemed ginormous– OY. We left happy — lighter in the wallets, because it is pretty pricey – and we were pretty satisfied with the experience. I’d recommend this place. Its a good dining memory.

I can’t believe the low reviews this place has gotten. Yes, it’s VERY pricey, but you know that going in! [The reviews on a certain other site that you can make reservations through are much more accurate, in my opinion.] My boyfriend and I went for dinner on a weeknight and the place was virtually empty. We had a reservation but really didn’t need one. First things first, the food. It was delicious. The bread was great(and the busboy kept replenishing it without making us feel like fatties). We split a ravioli appetizer and they were nice and al dente with a delicious filling and plenty of lemon-butter cream sauce(and yes, I dipped the bread in it. Sue me.) Entrees were equally awesome; I got the spaghettini with shrimp but asked for it in a scampi sauce instead of the marinara. It wasn’t an issue at all and was fantastic– lots of garlic, six huge shrimp, and a nice full bowl of pasta(yeah, dipped the bread in that sauce too). Boyfriend got the crab pasta which had a ton of crabmeat, and he really enjoyed that. Our waiter was fantastic. Maybe bordering on over-attentive, but I didn’t mind. We appreciated him helping us navigate the humongous wine list(apparently the 8th longest in the country, and I believe him) to something that wouldn’t break the bank. And his choice was freaking delicious. I thought the décor was actually really pretty and not at all over-the-top. I liked the tree a lot. :) And LOVE the private parking lot!!! Overpriced? Maybe. Everything was so great that it wasn’t such a terrible splurge, and it’s not like there’s a bargain option of that quality in Little Italy.

This is a solid Italian restaurant with some unique dishes. The chicken dishes are not as good as they sound on the menu(not bad either). The veal is excellent. Salads are unique and delicious. Desserts are highly rated. Overall service was a 10 and the atmosphere is fun. Very loud so I do not recommend this restaurant if you want to have an intimate conversation, unless you go when it is off peak times.
