Do not be alarmed by the outside appearance. The moment you cross into this quaint coffee shop/grocery store you will be transported. Honestly, it felt like I was back in Seattle. In a good way. The coffee is french press($ 2– free refills if you stay in house!) or cold brew. They no longer seem to have the espresso machine other talked about, but really it is no big deal. I enjoyed a curry chicken sandwich(chicken, mayo, Chinese yellow curry powder, grapes and raisins). Not fancy but tasty. The cashier/waitress was very sweet and sorry about not having lettuce at the moment. This is not a problem to me, but if you get huffy about perfection, perhaps steer clear. I did not get a chance to really explore the store much. It is a place to relax and chat with a friend, or more likely, do homework in a calm, caffeinating area. Have an exam to study for? This is the place to be.

So grateful Grace’s Acre is in our neighborhood. A surprisingly amazing selection of snacks, dairy, groceries, and fresh produce at very fair prices. Not to mention, the café(fresh treats from Patisserie Poupon!) and sandwiches have so many delicious offerings. We are always greeted with a smile. A huge reason why we love living in Patterson Place!

Much needed sanctuary in what is otherwise A part of Baltimore at the borderline of an unsafe area. Didn’t have the typical latte for me that day since I was traveling and new to the city, but this is a cute place that has both a café and a market. The owner is super nice. Coffee is tasty and not overpowering. Complementary wifi. Overall a great place to relax and do work if you are around the area, even if the place may not have the necessary wow factor of other cafes

Came here on a weekday morning and am a huge fan of the airy, light environment here. They have bottomless coffee(in ceramic mugs!) for $ 2 which is great if you’re looking to post up. The coffee is made via French press; I usually don’t have much of a preference when it comes to coffee but I definitely noticed that the coffee here is really smooth and has tons of flavor without being bitter. I also had a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin which was great and not too sweet. Their espresso machine is currently not working so they don’t sell any lattes, etc, but I’d love to come back and check out their grocery/food selection!

I legit always thought this place was abandoned because the outside windows are shitty, but I went here with my roommate for coffee and bagels one morning. The coffee was decent and bagel was good. There is a front part with couches to lounge on. If I had time one afternoon I would come back and sit awhile.

This place is a grocery store, coffee shop, local hangout, and community gem. The french pressed coffee and paninis are delicous. Try the turkey sandwich with cranberry chutney. You will not be disappointed here. All the employees are cool, helpful, and welcoming.

Prices were great, the produce was fresh, and for a small grocery, they had a pretty good variety of items. I haven’t tried the coffee or anything off the menu, but I will definitely be back. I’m so glad to have found this place so close by!

For a Baltimore neighborhood, this place is perfect in concept and definitely a great little project in progress! Awesome little grocery shop that is also great for tea/coffee and hanging out, reading a book and playing scrabble. They also have a nice little breakfast and sandwich menu with simple fresh food. Sandwiches, though good, were rather plain, but the super nice/helpful staff assured us that more options were in the works! Great option for folks that live in the neighborhood and also for all those Patterson park goers(only a block away from Patterson and Baltimore!!)

This is like a diamond in the rough kind of place in Patterson Park. They have a great selection of organic and ethnic items for sale, to include spices and dried fruits. I usually stop in for french press coffee(worth the wait) and a pastry. Their cinnamon buns and cookies are excellent. The owner is super friendly too. Love this place and am so happy it is in my neighborhood.

Yes, yes, yes! This is a small grocery store /convenience store /café /coffee shop all in one! AND they have affordable prices. The coffee is delicious… they only have dark or medium roast or iced(I think these are their only options at least, I do know they don’t have lattes or anything), but its the best coffee ever, you won’t miss anything else. They use a french press to make their coffee and it creates a smooth, non bitter, delicious coffee. Must try. They always have fresh produce. I usually call and ask if they have something that I am looking for specifically, and they usually always do, even avocados! The café part is new. I asked the girl behind the counter what her favorite sandwich is and she didn’t hesitate when she said the chicken curry salad, so obviously that’s what I got and obviously it was delicious! Nothing is too fancy here, just basic but done right, goodness! Other than that they have: assorted nuts, spices, pantry items, dried fruit, chips, salsa, and even toilet paper, and cleaning supplies. I always find something random that sparks my interest and I just have to get it, last time I think I got macaroons and caramelized nuts. Lastly, they have a great lounge area in the front of the store, perfect for sipping coffee or eating a sandwich while checking emails. They even have a craft night(I think it is on Wednesdays) and open mic /comedy nights too! I love how they are embracing the social aspect of the neighborhood. Lastly lastly, Reuben, the owner, is the nicest guy you will ever meet. Definitely don’t hesitate to strike up a conversation with him, he is the best! Thanks Reuben!!!

Though Grace’s can’t replace your full time grocery store, you can get your basics(milk, eggs, cheese) and some oddities(miso paste, and bean cookies) to keep you going through the week. The only thing to keep in mind is, Reuben has only been in business for around a year so he is still working out how much to order a when, which occasionally results in some bare looking shelves on Sunday’s. So hit him up early in the day when you are looking for groceries. On the flip side, if you want something stocked just ask! Reuben has always offered to look into stocking every product I’ve asked for.

Lovely little work in progress grocery store, with a few gourmet items, a few international items and local items. I picked up my favorite salted chocolate chip Kinderhook cookies, soft and delicious brie cheese, Amish popcorn and fresh dill. They also had red bean buns in the freezer and a few other culturally diverse goodies. They are still in the process of stocking shelves, and there were boxes here and there that still gave it that moving in kind of vibe. Their menu looks promising, though I didn’t try anything I will definitely be back for that lox bagel. I wish they had more of a coffee selection though! I’m a sucker for a good espresso or frothy drink, but I only saw the option for french press– but I might be mistaken. Lot of potential and a great space to catch up on work/hang out.

We went this afternoon for the first time. Fantastic! We had a friendly welcome and didn’t feel rushed. We ordered an everything bagel with butter and a veggie sandwich. She said their avocados weren’t ripe. It wasn’t a problem. Id much rather not have hard avocado. She offered mushrooms instead and it was great. Possibly the prettiest and best veggie sandwich I’ve had. As she was making our order we looked around the market area. Wonderful! Full of lentils, beans and even beet chips. I’ll def be back to pick up some things. The food and coffee was delicious! Great stop on any day!

This place takes the grocery/deli/coffee shop concept to the next level! There is a somewhat limited but more than sufficient selection of groceries: fresh fruit and vegetables, dry goods, and bulk spices and coffee. This includes bottles of gourmet sodas like Boylans and Kutztown for under $ 2! The deli section offers several delicious sandwiches, salads, and dips. My favorite so far is the sun dried tomato and pesto pasta salad. The coffee is locally roasted and freshly french pressed. They usually offer a medium or dark roast. It comes in two sizes to go and ceramic mugs to drink-in. There is also a surprisingly large seating area that is divided into two sections. One section features a couch and two armchairs while the other has a dinning room table and a bar along the front window. Either, there is something for everyone! The best thing about this place is the owner’s vision of making the community a better place to live.

Want fresh produce? Fresh coffee? Best place North of Patterson Park. They will also be opening a deli section sometime this or next week! So excited.

This place is adorable! Definitely still under construction, but the owner is extremely nice and open to ideas. You can find a variety of specialty and locally sourced items here. InFused jams, some produce, nuts, coffee and brought in baked goods from Patisserie Poupon and other great local businesses. The coffee is French press-style, no frills. They just got an espresso machine(not set up yet!). Overall ambience is rustic, sunny, and cute. The owner says with time he might have ready-made foods available to eat. I’m optimistic about the potential for a good neighborhood coffee/grocery place here. Best wishes, guys! Also: this might be the only place in the entire inner city where you can buy a pumpkin. Not even kidding.

Grace’s Acre, once an unlabeled and uninviting storefront, now has a sign. Things are getting official. This neighborhood is kinda bare and definitely needs a place like this. The store sells locally grown fruits/veggies and gourmet coffee. The food prices are competitive, despite the size of the store. The coffee is served in pump containers, which is okay but hopefully they upgrade to an espresso machine soon. The owner is a friendly guy who dropped out of graduate school and started the store. It seems like he’s just playing it by ear for now, so I assume things will only get better. Let’s hope they add some serious coffee equipment in the near future.

Cute place! it’s party coffee shop, part grocer. I’m not a coffee drinker, but my roommate raves about their coffee. I think that they are still in the process of getting things together. Currently, they have pastries from local bakeries and I think that they’re planning to have sandwiches and lunch/other hot food soon? They also have dried snacks and some produce. I think that some of the folks in the neighborhood come in to buy groceries. They have a couch area and a table as well as some bar stools that look into the street, but their windows are a bit scuffed up. They could use a bit more furniture if people decide to lounge around. I do like the music selection! It’s mellow and good background music for work!
