Specialties
Historic Ships in Baltimore is homeport to 5 National Historic Landmarks: USS Constellation, the last all-sail ship built by the US Navy, the WWII submarine USS Torsk, Lightship 116 Chesapeake, USCGC Taney, the last vessel still afloat to witness the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, and the Seven Foot Knoll Lighthouse. All sites are open to the public daily with extended hours in summer.
History
Established in 1955.
USS Constellation was the 2nd vessel donated by the US Navy to the American public as a museum and historic shrine. USS Torsk has been in Baltimore since 1973. USCGC Taney has been part of the collection since 1986. In 2008 all of the ships and the lighthouse were brought together under the flag of Historic Ships in Baltimore.
