These cabs take way longer than I ever remember from the past. One hour and 2 phone calls later, I’m still waiting. Also, the first guy I spoke to was nice. But the second lady was not. Do you really need to immediately hang up on people? Not only was I calling to find out where my cab was after waiting for so long, but I also wanted to know if there would be any issues with me having a baby in a carseat. Too bad I didn’t get the chance to ask because I was immediately hung up on.
What if I was taking this cab to work? You need to be alot more reliable and respectful.

This cab company is reliable and picks me up quickly. Also, they give you a courtesy call to let you know how far away your cab is from you. They also accept cash, and credit cards as well as other forms of payment. Drivers are always friendly and professional, willing to help with bags and such. Always leave me happy.

NO STARS!!! The worst cab company ever! The dispatcher was extremely rude she had an attitude already. She asked me to repeat the number because she got the numbers wrong! So I go on an repeat it for her and she said «THATS WHAT I SAID» then proceeds to hang up when I tried to correct her! I’ve taken cabs from this company before and the prices are outrageous. And the cab drivers take crazy long routes just to make more money… Download the über app you’ll be better off

To all my Baltimore people. never ever ever use Jimmys Cab Company. Their customer service is appalling… as in they have none.
They quickly get your phone number and address then hang up. Um Ok.
So, I called back because i have special instruction to get to me place. I told her they need the zip code or it takes you to the wrong place. Apparently they can only type in letters in the special instructions not numbers because she told me they cant type in the zipcode and hung up.
25 minutes rolls by… missed one train and not into missing another one I call back. Tell her the cab isn’t here and as I was asking if they could give me a time she says its on its way and hung up. Fire from the pits of hell are shooting out of my ears.
I call immediately back. First thing I say is «please don’t hang up on me» the operator says «why would I do that. I am here to answer your questions» Ok maybe we have a human on the phone this time. «Its been 25 minutes and the cab isn’t here yet. Do you know how much longer they might be?» operator: «they were dispatched 10 minutes ago and it will be another 20 minutes. Okay.» me:“is there any… CLICK. HE HUNG UP!!!
Moral of the story. Steal your neighbors kids bike or hell hot-​wheels and get to where ever you need on your own.

If I could give a ‘zero star’ review, I would. This is literally the worst company I have ever dealt with. We requested a cab and waited approximately an hour. We called every 20 minutes (as we were told to do by «operator 5200») but were hung up on, with a statement «we’re still trying to find one for you». They have the worst customer service and I have no idea how they even stay in business. And also, if a cab isn’t coming, please just tell me so I can find some other means of safe and reliable transport ion.

They got me where I needed to be. Basic taxi service. A bit expensive though. It was $ 20 to go like ten minutes away One thing I didn’t like though is I told the lady I needed the cab at 2:45 and they came at 2:10. I mean I guess that’s not really a super bad thing, but I had to rush on the way out. I was afraid he’d leave. Also the cab I was in smelled HORRIBLE. I smelled like smoke and butt when I got to my destination.

Was struck in the middle of no where and they told me it would be a 15 minute wait. 35 minutes later, I was still in the freezing cold. It still cost way too much to get home. I used Über instead another time and literally the price was cut in half. Don’t waste your time with these guys.

In all seriousness, F*CK this cab company. I’m waiting for two hours at the hospital waiting to go home and relax. I call them at 5:30 I give them time because I know it’s rush hour. I call at 7 (it took 6x for them to pick up) and they tell me oh sorry nobody took the job. In addition to the rude ass lady who picked up originally. It’s not my fault I can hear you speak up and don’t mumble. All in all, I hope they get closed down somehow they don’t deserve anybody’s money.

The secret to getting a good cab experience with Jimmy’s is not expecting too much. A to B attitude works. If you take taxis often, you’ll get acquainted with a wide variety of drivers. Find one you like and work with him personally, especially if you are going to areas where there aren’t many cabs. On Halloween I waited 3 hours for cab from Parkville to Towson. What choice did I have? Short trips aren’t popular with drivers, so don’t wait in the cold. But occasionally you’ll find a rare gem of a guy. They have lots of interesting people, great for inspiration for screenplays: Born again Christian woman who offered to take me to her church on Sunday, business owner of wine bar in Texas who had to relocate, software programmers, grandfather, musicians of various genres, quite an array of personalities & backgrounds. But when you need a cab, you need a cab. I have more than 30 drivers in my phonebook and yes, sometimes I’ve had to call all of them to get one driver; either Jimmy’s phone was busy or no picked up for a half hour, or no one was in the area or they didn’t know what happened. It seems odd as they are one of the few games in town. Go figure.

This company is the worst. I am extremely happy that über is around. First of all no one at the call center picks up the phone. I experienced instances where I have been on the phone for 30 at least waiting for them to pick up.
The second issue is one of the cab drivers over charged me. I told him to use York road instead he did what he wanted and used the highway and charged me double the cost of my trip. To Ms JOSIE KENNEDY… please get yourself and your company together. Thank you

Awesome. Had a case of ‘can’t find my keys’ and they were there within 10 minutes, and miraculously got me to work (downtown) on time!

Failed to show; resulting in missing a medical appointment as well as being late to work. Very poor communication on the telephone.

They are some of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. They own Jimmy’s and Yellow, which gives them a virtual stranglehold on the Baltimore market, and they act like it. You cannot call and schedule an appointment for the next day, primarily because they don’t feel like writing the information down, and they know nobody is going to show up anyway. I tried to reserve a cab for a medical appointment but I was told that I had to call them the day I needed the service. Well, I called that morning and the phone rang and rang and then I was hung up on. I called back again an nobody answered. Drive yourself or call a friend, because this company is not to be relied upon and customer service is non-​existent.

When you call a cab company, there are literally 2 things you expect from their service… timeliness and a fair rate. Jimmy’s fails to deliver time and time again and maybe it’s my fault for giving them so many opportunities.
The most recent example was Thanksgiving Day. I called the night before for a cab at 7:45 am. Figured I’d be on top of things and not wait til the last minute. I call at 7:30am to make sure there was a cab on the way and after 5 minutes of waiting, a woman informs me that she’ll «work on it», and abruptly hangs up. 8:15 rolls around, and still no one. I call again and a guy answers. I tell him my phone and address and he says «we’re still working on it» and abruptly hangs up without even letting me ask when I should expect them.
When they got to my house at 8:45, and finally got me to the airport, a half hour before my flight, he asked for $ 30. It is a 7 minute trip and should have been 15 dollars max.
All in all, if you are good with accepting failure and disappointment, roll with Jimmy’s. Otherwise, I’d probably use Baltimore MTA busses before them again.

I’ve used this service several times and I’ve never been thrilled with them, but this most recent experience takes the cake. When you call, the operators clearly have very little experience in customer service. They are rude and short-​tempered. The phones suck so you can barely hear them and they make it worse by mumbling. The cab drivers don’t pay attention to your destination and have always shot past it with me and then screeched to a halt when I pointed it out — whatever, most cabbies aren’t good drivers but they at least pay attention. They also always talk on the phone, on handhelds. Today I waited over an hour for a cab that never came, called back, and then my order was changed from card to cash payment, which caused the cabbie to actually yell at me. I called to make a complaint and the operator argued with me about the whole thing, saying no one ever said it would be a credit card and he knows because he supposedly took both calls himself — couldn’t possibly have been him that made the mistake. I finally got to talk to someone above him and be heard. I’m from Philadelphia, I take cabs all the time there, and I’ve never had such an experience as this. I will be using a different cab service from now on. Whoever runs this service needs to work on all the employees and how they talk to customers.

One of the worst cab company experiences I’ve had. They are not reliable for pre-​scheduled trips.
Called the night before for a 6:45 AM pick-​up to catch a train for business travel. Dispatcher took my information down and said everything is taken care of. When the cab didn’t show up five minutes past the pick-​up time, I called the dispatcher (a different one picks up). She asks me for my addresses, but gets it wrong several times (didn’t seem to care too much). Once she had my address she said, «no one has picked up your ticket.» I replied «…what does that mean?» And she said «well there’s no cab that is on it’s way.» I told her that I specifically reserved ahead of time and she said that it was out of their hands at that point and up to the taxi drivers to pick up the ticket. When I asked when I should expect the taxi, she said I can go ahead and call another taxi company.
For all the times I’ve taken a taxi, I’ve never experienced something like this before. I’ll certainly not be giving this company a call back again.

I used Jimmy’s for a quick ride to a car rental location, I was going on a road trip. They came very quickly and had an automated service that called when the cab had arrived. I came out and a very clean and nice cab was waiting. The driver helped me put my suitcase into the car and get situated. Quick and painless.

Came quickly when called. Cab was in rough shape but driver professional and safe. They had a neat service where I got a computerized phone call notifying me of the imminent arrival of my cab.
