A week ago, I came for dinner with a good friend. The food was very good, particularly the appetizer courses. The grape leaves were succulent and delicious. The hummus was almost whipped, and its flavor was well-balanced. The pita was chewy, and the baba was so smoky and garlicky and tart! Delicious. But then we waited for our entrees. And waited. And waited some more. We ended up spending more than an hour waiting for our main courses and having to scarf them down in 10 minutes so we could make it to the airport(somewhat late) to pick up my friend’s husband. Bottom line: the food is great, but the service is slow. Budget plenty of time.

So disappointed! Usually love the food, but tonight we ordered delivery and were very disappointed. We ordered the camel wings and one of the wings had fried feathers attached to the skin, so disgusting. They were obvious there is no way whoever was making them didn’t see them.

I LOVETHISPLACE. Can speak from experience because I have probably eaten in 30+ times and ordered out their hummus another 30 times. The service is always wonderful and friendly and the food is divine. Hummus comes with freshly baked, soft, doughy pita — worth the visit in itself. I particularly enjoy the lentil soup that is always on the menu. The drinks are tasty as well — do yourself a favor and get the Sangria. Come here!

This is my second time here, and the food was just as good as before. The sandwich combos are a very good deal. That being said, we waited for at least 30 minutes for two sandwiches even though there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant and one person at the bar. I think it’s just a miscalculation on staff because I’ve eaten here before and had no problem with wait.

Maybe my pallet isn’t to familiar with Lebanese food but to me this place was just okay. A great place to try out but I probably won’t frequent this restaurant. The service was amazing though and the hummus was good

Been here a few times, both in the dining area and the bar for happy hour. The place is very pretty and outside seating is great. Prices are reasonable and for their prices the food is been good and flavorful. Their pita bread is puffy and delicious with their hummus or other dips. The mixed app platter has decent variety, and even though the portions for each are just enough to sample, it was enough to fill me up along with one or two pieces of their bread. Their falafels are yummy and I am an fan of their kibbeh nayeh(lamb tartare). The bar area can be a hit or miss. We sat at a booth for a long time and weren’t even approached with a menu. Wasn’t in a hurry but after playing the«how long will it take to get noticed» game for about 15 – 20 minutes, we got up and moved to one of the free standing tables where we were finally approached after awhile. Wine pours aren’t that generous during happy hour. The servers and bartenders are all very friendly, service is just slow sometimes. All in all, I would give this place a try if you’re in the area and in the mood for Lebanese /Mediterranean tapas. I usually go here or Kali’s Mezze down the street when I’m in the mood for Mediterranean tapas(Mezze wins by a few points in my book, though!).

Food was amazing. The flavors were delicious and the portions just right. The restaurant itself was nice with a neat view of the harbor. There was music but it was not loud but pleasant so that the people can have conversations. The only«flaw» was the temperature because it was a little bit low

Above average Lebanese food in an above average setting with above average noise. I went here solo on a Thursday evening: 75% empty but the music was cranked up as if the place was full. Service was quick and the food came out in minutes. I ordered a vegetarian version of the Chef’s Platter: hummus, falafel, baba ganoush, dolma(grape leaf), tabouleh, fatayer spinach, kibbeh, m’saka, and shakshouky. It came with flat bread that wasn’t memorable. The platter itself was, though. The falafel wasn’t dry, the dolma was flavorful, the baba ganoush was sweet, the kibbeh was vegetarian, and the fatayer spinach was like a Lebanese samosa. Everything I tried was good and if you can’t decide what to have, get the Chef’s Platter. It was a vegetarian feast for only $ 14. My only food objection was that everything was a little too mild but then I guess it is Lebanese. It was filling and I had no room for dessert. It was a little too noisy for me and it had an overly trendy combination of well-dressed date nighters and afterwork power people in sports coats. Next time, maybe I’ll do take out.

Thought this place was fantastic and very reasonably priced. We ordered one of each platter and shared between the two of us. This allowed us to try a large portion of the menu and most of it was spectacular. My 3 favorite things from the platters were the hummus, shawarma(especially the crunchy pieces), and the grape leaf. My 3 least favorite things were baba ganush, cucumber salad, and parsl y salad. All were still good. On top of this the bar tenders were extremely nice and helpful considering it was my first time trying Lebanese food.

My bro in law has dubbed this place as the Lebanese cheesecake factory. I don’t know if that’s a compliment or a diss. Anyhow, I am on my way home from this place and can barely breathe from my food coma. We got the condiment sampler, I had the fattayer trio, and the lamb chops(on the secret menu). The condiment sampler had garlic whipped dip(supposedly not real garlic but rather garlic essence), harissa(which burned my mouth off), and tahini(which was weird tasting and sour). But mix all three together and pile on the nice hot flatbread they give and you got yourself a winner! Speaking of winners, my sis got the Ouzi and because she had he flu and couldn’t taste anything, I took the liberty of eating into her dish which was tender lamb and rice with stuffed grape leaves. My lamb chops were also really tasty, with a tomatoey bulgar that went really well with the lamb chops. Wish I could say I had room for dessert but we were all about to explode. The lentil soup I tasted from my bro was also really good. Come here with a second stomach handy.

I always wonder why out of all the Arabs, it’s always the Lebanese Am. with the terrible food. I’m sure that non Arabs probably go crazy over Lebanese Tavern and think it’s the best Arab food they’ve ever eaten but it’s terrible, literally terrible. We ordered some knafa and as a Palestinian I… was ashamed and slightly distributed that this place thought it was alright to give my family and I rotting food(we ordered a whole batch of knafa and other sweets and some sampling platters before leaving mid-way). After a few years I went back to Tavern with some other Arabs for dinner and once again, the food was terrible. If you’re looking for good Lebanese food, try Byblos on Light St., because Tavern does not deserve your money. If you’re interested in inauthentic, poor Arab food and don’t have any sense of real Arab food, Tavern is absolutely fantastic for you.

My favorite location of this local chain. I’ve been to this location10−12 times, and to their other restaurants another 10−15ish times. This one is my favorite for being most consistent, with a large lounge/bar area separate from the main dining room, a nice handful of outdoor seats, and a waterfront location in bustling Harbor East that lends itself to an after-dinner stroll(and many additional places to go for a nightcap or dessert). There’s easy parking(valet, garage, and street). The bar makes decent mixed drinks, try the featured Phoenecian cocktail, which is also one of the items discounted for Happy Hour. HH specials include several appetizers at one of 3 discounted price levels. Non-happy-hour prices are reasonable for the area but dinner entrees can get expensive. The cuisine is eastern Mediterranean, and they carry it off well. Lamb particularly works very well, I’ve enjoyed every lamb preparation I’ve had. The hummus is decent, the baba ghanoush is the best I’ve had in a restaurant, and they bring you as much freshly made flat bread as you want. Yum. The dining area is fancy enough for an occasion, and the bar area polished enough to meet a date. I like the place enough that I stop here for a HH drink before meeting people for dinner elsewhere. Highly recommended.

Let me begin by saying I am an expert when it comes to eating Lebanese food. It is my absolute favorite cuisine, but I was not extremely impressed with LT. Although it wasn’t the best Lebanese I’ve ever had, it did the job and cured my husbands Lebanese cravings. We came in on a late Tuesday afternoon and were seated right away. The restaurant was empty, so our service was good and very quick. The décor was beautiful and I would imagine the ambiance to be better at night. I highly recommend getting the mixed platter of appetizers and the phonecian cocktail. On the mixed appetizer plate, the hummus and baba ghanoush stood out the most. I had the kufta sandwich and wasn’t impressed, but I do feel that many people would enjoy it.

This place is huge!!! It is a little deceptive when you first walk in but there are so many seats in this place! They also have a great happy hour with unlimited hummus while you sit. I absolutely love the bread they serve with the hummus as it is warm and fluffy and is such a happy change from flat pita bread or chips. The other thing to note about this place is their bathrooms. Each of the stalls is separate and unisex so I found it curious that all wash closets have a toilet and a sink because outside of the bathrooms they also have a line of sinks. That’s a lot of sinks! Oh and the beaded curtain leading into the bathroom area is a heck of a lot heavy than it looks so beware!

Came here during restaurant week with a few coworkers for lunch a couple weeks ago. I ordered the chef’s special — a sampling of hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouleh, labneh(strained yogurt), grape leaf, falafel, fatayer spinach, kibbeh(made with beef), and m’saka shakshouky(eggplant, chickpeas, tomatoes). It was quite a sampling! While all good, only a few stood out: m’saka shakshouky for it’s tarty and surprising savoriness, the hummus(creamy and garlicky) and baba ghanoush. I’ve had better mediterranean, but Leb Taverna is a definitely a solid place.

Such a wonderful and delicious Lebanese restaurant located in the inner harbor of Balitmore! They have both seatings indoor and outside along with a beautiful scenery of the harbor. We came here for dinner and I absolutely loved their grilled lamb kabobs with vegetables and Lebanese rice entrée. Their lamb kabobs were well marinated with the right amount of spice. I couldn’t get enough of their bread… fresh out of the oven with such puffiness and kinda hollow, but super yummy! Also, I ordered a glass of Shiraz to compliment my meal. Looking forward to dine here again in the future.
