Wow! Our meal of chicken drunken noodles and three flavor chicken was out of this world! We also really enjoyed the Thai empanadas. Mayuree is a great choice because they put their own unique style into traditional Thai fare. I’ll be ordering again for sure!

Great find. The food was pretty authentic, and I’m pretty picky if you’ve looked at my other reviews. They also have a bonafide bar. I’d go again.

I hate to give this review as I had such high hopes from the reviews. Let me start by saying I did this as an order up delivery for lunch. I did not go into the actual restaurant. but for $ 10 plus $ 3.99 delivery plus the tip? I truly expected better. I ordered the Pad See Yew. They need to come up with better containers. It was delivered in a cardboard box that soaked up whatever sauce may have been there. The temp was ok considering it was a delivery and I think the flavor may have been perfect. If it hadn’t been burnt. Chicken and noodles were completely black on on side, like the cook forgot he was cooking and came back to it. The taste of the charred chicken carried throughout the noodles unfortunately. Maybe they just didn’t care because it was delivery. But I spent $ 16+ on food that I ate the broccoli and a few of the noodles before I couldn’t take it anymore and just threw it out. I may give them a shot and go in and have dinner one night, just to see if the food is better and change my review. Maybe this was just a one off.

I went out of my way to come to this place because I was really craving crispy Thai fish, and Mayuree is one of the few to have it in the Baltimore area! The staff was friendly-ish, but because we arrived later in the night(9:10, kitchen closes at 10), we were uncomfortably rushed to order. We started off with a papaya salad which was yummy as always and a tom yum soup, with which we didn’t ask for shrimp but ended up getting anyway($ 3 extra). Not the worst result bc the shrimp was the most scrumptious thing I had ever had. There were only 3, but they were nice, thick and juicy. Perhaps a dollar a shrimp was worth it. The Thai spicy fish fillet with the Thai three flavoured tamarind sauce was not as I expected/craved but was still very tasty — fish was fluffy and moist and the salsa-like sauce was very tasty. We also got red curry with beef, which was very disappointing — the sauce was excessively gingery. This might’ve been a one time thing and we got very unlucky but I’d be afraid to try again. I wish we had said something but we felt uncomfortable since the kitchen was probably closed. A lot of people mentioned the portions were too small but I think everything was reasonably sized … my friend and I ended up over ordering, over eating and then having to take some home.

Oh man. The waiters here were in super hurry and they took away our plate even though there was food in there. I would not go back here searching for this restaurant. But the ambience is good and food is decent.

Very nice and cozy little place. Hubby liked his green curry and my drunken noodles was awesome Portion is perfect. The chicken skewers were salty. The coconut custard is amazing. Overall awesome. Would definitely come back again.

Came for a friends birthday and we got the top third floor all to ourselves since we were a big group. The restaurant isn’t too big and from the looks of it, it was probably converted over from a row house. The menu is limited, but what from what I did get to try, I enjoyed. We got potstickers and wings for apps and then everyone got a bunch of different entrees. The entrees are SPICY. I think we all thought — being Indian and all, that if we asked for spicy it would be like chain restaurant Tara Thai spicy, but boy were we WRONG. It was overwhelmingly spicy and at times hard to eat, but that was our faults for trying to test the limits. I had the drunken noodles and it was by far the best drunken noodles I’ve had in my life. I also got to try some of my friend’s spicy fried fish fillet and it was fantastic as well. The menu isn’t too large but I think that’s good if they can make whatever they list as best as possible because there is no way a restaurant can list like 100 dishes and make them all fantastic — I’m looking at you Cheesecake Factory! FYI — no fried rice because they only use red rice and apparently you can’t fry that. I took off a star because the wait staff was very pushy and kept trying to make us order individual plates, even if we wanted to share

I come here all the time! The food is amazing and they use only the best quality ingredients. All the food is authentic thai and comes out so fast. The pricing is very reasonable, the portions aren’t enormous which I like since I usually don’t like to have boxes of leftovers going bad in my fridge. I also love their house red and white wines for $ 5, if you don’t like wine just ask the baternder, Andy, he knows his stuff and is a lot of fun to talk to. Every weekend after work I come here for their noodle soup, it’s only $ 10 and it’s delicious!!! Seriously people … DELICIOUS. It’s also served only between 10:30 and 2 am on Friday and Saturday so it’s much better than going out for greasy pizza. If you need another reason to come here they also have a game room with a pool table, dart board and vintage Nintendo that you can play with for a few bucks. Overall I love this place! Great food, great drinks, great people.

YES! Late night amazing Thai food in Baltimore! Finally!!$. Come here when you’re leaving the bars in canton and fells, they serve an amazing(smaller) menu until 2am. It was an adventure to try it bc it seemed off the beaten path and their late night menu is brand new but I called ahead and they said they served food until 2 so we hopped in an Über at 1:45am and got here and it was the best decision I have made in a long time. Not only is this place authentic, it’s classy and Andy behind the bar was super cool and let us order just a few minutes before 2. We ordered the duck noodles(amazing!!!), the steamed dumpling which we ended up ordering a second order of, the crispy crab dumpling, and the crab and cheese wonton. Go. Here. Now.

I rarely(slash never) downgrade a rating based solely on the cost of the food. Value matters, of course, but if the food is that good, I will pay… especially when there isn’t a viable alternative. This has always been the case for Mayuree Thai. I’ve eaten here now several times(all delivery) and every time I totally love what I get. Don’t get me wrong — it has always been overpriced — but I love(LOVE) Thai food and I will pay the premium to get the only decent one I’ve found thus far in this sorely Thai-deprived city. Unfortunately tonight Mayuree crossed the value line and I couldn’t bear it any longer. Food: 4 stars Cost: 2 stars Value: 2 stars Average 2.5, and ok, I rounded up. But I almost didn’t out of sheer annoyance… read on. My boyfriend and I ordered the Massaman Curry. This is THEMOST expensive item on the menu. As such, I expect to at least get a dinner-sized meal. But the 5 tiny cubes of beef, 3 carrots, and one slice of potato would not fill a 3-year-old-child. And it’s the most expensive entrée on the menu! WTF?! The Tom Yum soup is delicious, and the drunken noodles continue to be my go-to — so, moral of the story, I’ll stick with that from now on. The appetizers are also pretty good but, again, way overpriced. At least they have substance(some of them more than their 3x as pricey counterpart). Stay away from the Massaman and your hungry stomach will thank you.

Mayuree is a great new Thai restaurant and bar. We’d heard a lot of positive things about it and went for their happy hour one weekday evening. They have some pretty nice discounts on drinks and appetizers from 5 to 7PM every day, but you have to sit at the bar for them. Each of us tried a cocktail and they were both pretty good. Mine was Mayuree’s version of a Sidecar and I really enjoyed it. It was a bit sweeter than I normally like, but not in the alcoholic sugar water way that a lot of bad cocktails are. The menu at Mayuree isn’t overly exciting or adventurous but the two dishes we tried(green curry and drunken noodles) were excellent. Prices for entrees were also several dollars cheaper than at any other Thai restaurant in Baltimore.

Delicious food & fun cocktails, but happy hour at bar only and rushed service. The food was above average and flavorful – we got the red curry and pad thai. I was intrigued by the fact that their red curry has pumpkin, which isn’t typical; the pumpkin was a bit dry but the overall dish was good. The visual layout of both dishes was very appeasing; some tofu with reddish skin and what looked like shredded beet added extra color without any weird flavors to the pad Thai dish. I loved the drink menu. Having been to Thailand, it was fun to see very Thai-featured cocktails with names such as the Tuk-Tuk(a three-wheeled taxi) as well as concoctions such as the Canton Iced Tea which was an alcoholic Thai iced tea(a very famous treat in the country.) I got the Pepper-Rita which had Thai bird chili infused Jose Cuervo and Thai salted chili on the rim – it was very spicy and strong on the tequila, a bit too much for me. Interesting atmosphere – first Thai place I’ve been to that feels like a pub. This place seems popular with Order Up customers, we must’ve seen one Order Up guy every 10 minutes we were there. Would rate this higher if we didn’t feel rushed by the service(got asked if we were done with our food and ready to order several times and way before we were ready) and the fact that it wasn’t clearly communicated we had to sit at the bar during dinner for happy hour specials, even though we got the drinks from the bar.

We ordered delivery last night through OrderUp. The noodles weren’t spicy, even though I asked for them to be. Also, the portion of the Five Spice Duck was appalling. We’ve had it while in the restaurant so we knew we’d been ripped off. The portion was far too small for $ 15. Very disappointed.

I came here on a Sunday night with some friends for a quick dinner. The place is pretty cozy and is unlike most Thai place(from the food to the decoration, would say it’s more Americanized here). The waiters here were very kind and service was pretty impeccable. The food is decent. I wouldn’t say it’s authentic Thai food but like I said, things tasted more Americanized. I had the drunken noodle which is my typical go to at a Thai restaurant. It didn’t quite have the spicy kick as I would like it, but it was still pretty good. One of my friends also had the pad thai, which did not quite have that sweet and sour flavor of a pad thai. Overally, good service, good ambiance. I wouldn’t come here if you’re looking for authentic thai food, BUT food is overall decent.

I had the drunken noodle and Thai tea. My dinner companion got the panang curry. Her dish(while tasty) only had three chunks of meat. For $ 15 you’d think they’d give a bit more. It was mostly potatoes :/ My drunken noodles were good but less spicy than the drunken noodle at stang of Siam. I prefer spice so they lost my support on that — but the green beans did add a nice crunch of texture. So overall it was good but the portions were a bit small. I feel like o get more at stang. And considering how difficult it was to find parking I’ll have to factor that in when considering this spot for dinner in the future. The bartender was pretty cool. He mentioned they have a happy hour so I might be back to try it out.

Terrific modern and elevated Thai food. The specialty cocktails are delicious! Family owned by a friendly and charming group of people. This place is the best Thai in town and a place I feel great about supporting!

I love spicy food, and this place did not disappoint! The drunken noodles were bomb, although the portion size was medium. Definitely could have eaten more. The curry bowls seemed to be bigger portions because they came with rice as well. The tom kha soup was good. The cocktails were creative and delicious. There was a little mixup with our order(which seems to have happened in a few other Unilocal reviews), but they fixed it, no issues. As far as appetizers go, the wontons were standard and the papaya salad was a pleasant surprise. We’d definitely come back!

What up, Mayuree Thai Tavern? Happy to share that the man & I had a delightful experience this past Sunday at Canton’s newest Thai restaurant. Digging the long, wooden bar, we chose a spot near the door where we witnessed a constant stream of Order Up folks. I’m sure the delivery is fantastic, BUT then you would miss well-curated cocktail creations by Andy(the barkeep and all around go to guy that night) and his Aunt!!! Your tastebuds implore you: have a drink! We tried the: Lemongrass Martini(delicious, citrusy with a spicy edge), MD Crispy Crab Dumplings w/sweet plum sauce(oh yeah, get all in that sauce), Drunken Noodles w/Shrimp(adjust the heat if you haven’t been used to that kind of spice), Pad See Yew with Beef(thick noodles, scrambled eggs, sweet soy sauce & fresh broccoli), Mojito(featuring uncommon but traditional brown sugar) & the Thai Basil Gimlet which was out-of-this-world! TL;DR — Drink up, eat up & let your tastebuds be THAI-ntalized by this family-owned eatery!

This restaurant was highly recommended to me by a friend who said it was the best thai place in Baltimore. I stopped by with several friends to test out his theory and was pleasantly surprised. We started off with several drinks. The lemon grass martini was so strong and good. The rim was lined with pepper and gave the drink a spice to it. My friend got the Canton Iced Tea — thai iced tea with fireball and kahlua. It was the perfect combination of iced tea and fireball! In the first sip you would taste thai iced tea and then would be hit with the fireball. So perfect. As for the dishes, we started out with the: Chicken Pad Thai — Rice Noodles, Eggs, Chicken, Bean Sprouts, Peanuts and carrots/red cabbage mm. This is the dish to get! I always get pad thai whenever I go to Thai restaurants and this dish was on par with some of my top favorites back in California. Five Spice Roasted Duck — Roasted Duck with rice and steamed vegetables covered in a gravy sauce. Hm, this dish was alright. It didn’t really have a strong duck taste to it and was covered with some sort of breaded fillet. I wouldn’t get it again if I came here. Spicy Thai Fish Filet — Steamed vegetables and Fish filet with rice. My friend commented that«I’ve never seen steamed vegetables with thai food.» I thought that it was alright, I would prefer pad thai over this dish though. For dessert we ordered the Mango Sticky Rice(glutinous rice with coconut milk). The mango was super fresh and juicy! I wish they had put more coconut milk sauce in the dish as the rice was a bit dry. Still a good touch to end with. Service was great and the prices weren’t too steep. The best thai place so far in Baltimore for sure! :)

I tried Mayuree Thai Tavern and loved it! Such a nice little addition to the neighborhood. Mayuree is a family name of the family that runs this place which just opened a few weeks ago(May 2015). The food was really excellent, and service was great, considering they are still within the soft-opening phase. If you like great Thai food, definitely check this one out. We were greeted right away by a nice man and let to a seating area up some stairs with room for around 20. The place was fairly empty but that is not surprising as they haven’t done any kind of marketing yet. Our server came right by and got drink orders started. The menu is simple and has all the standard Thai goodies, but with a few new ones that I recommend. Definitely try the Papaya Salad, it is sweet and spicy. The head chef told us she hand makes it(and all of the food) based one family recipes from Thailand. I ordered Drunken Noodles(extra spicy), as I do as a rating metric from any Thai place. Well, Mayuree does a GREAT drunken noodle. Probably my favorite version of this dish ever. Get tofu, it is the best! The flavors of that dish were way better than what I was expecting from something new. I also tried some of the other dishes at the table including a really tasty Pad Thai, and a great Red Curry. There was also an awesome fish entrée. I recommend any of the above, and will be back myself to try each in their full form. Finally, for dessert you HAVE to try the homemade taro coconut custard. This dish is delectable. The layout of the place is not final, but it is pretty nice inside. They have a full bar with all of what you’d expect there, and a downstairs area they will use for lounge /entertainment eventually. If you want some good Thai food from a Thai family that doesn’t deviate from their specialties, check out Mayuree Thai Tavern.
