My son recently experienced a head injury, he was referred to Mt. Washington Children’s Hospital by his pediatrician. I see why his pediatrician trusted he would be properly cared for at this hospital. MWCH is located in a beautiful and very quiet residential part of Mt. Washington. My son was sent to the hospital for a concussion screening. Concussion screening are long and can be boring. Not here once inside the hospital Dr. Cleary greeted us and walked with us to his office. He was extremely friendly. Very approachable and personable. My son felt comfortable and so did I. He explained the entire process thoroughly. If you are unfamiliar with a concussion screening it is usually a 3 hour test, that is very difficult for a 7 year old to endure. Luckly he had an awesome doctor who made the process fun and entertaining. He had no idea he was actually being screened. At the end of the testing he was rewarded with gifts and stickers. My son passed the examination with flying colors and we were then given final instruction and sent on our way. The hospital is well maintained from the grounds to the interior. The staff we came across was very helpful and very friendly. It’s a tough job to work in a hospital and especially tough to work in a hospital for children. I am thankful for those who get up everyday and go above and beyond to take care of those who can’t care for themselves.
