This club is in a very shady area. The parking around this club is very terrible. It wasn’t too safe in the parking area I guess that’s why they had the police there later on that night so be careful. It says the club opens at 10 but the atmosphere doesn’t get started till like around 12. The live band was not for my taste but the DJs were great. The price to get in and the drinks were too expensive. The bar was not well-stocked with a variety of drinks nor supplies to mix the drinks. My friend got a jack and Coke it was mostly Jack and a little Coke in a very small cup. The bartenders were not well experienced at making drinks but were really nice. The bathroom in this place is truly disgusting. There were a lot of older people in this club. Over I would suggest a better place to go like bond Avenue, power plant, fells point, etc.

Do NOT get tricked by its website or promotional posters saying there is free parking. I even asked the bouncer and he said«yep street parking bro.» To sum it up — a crappy warehouse in an even worse neighborhood. It was formerly known as the Sonar Club that got shut down. Does not seem like any renovations or improvements have been made. I-83 highway is close by, so many sketchy parking spots underneath that are metered. However, they do have a few new leather seats outside of the bathrooms. Overall, I did not feel too safe in and out of the club. I parked 2 blocks away and the walk was not ideal. Got approached outside by a guy bound to do no good asking me to «borrow» my phone. He was also hustling people for parking $. There is no bathroom guy in this club as well. Plenty of sketchy characters. There were bouncers, but they did not wear their«bouncer» or «security» gear and they weren’t actively looking out for the safety of patrons; they were together just talking. Got there on a Thursday night; $ 5 cover with college ID before 11pm. Going through security and there was no coat-check. They claim it’s open bar, but it’s only for their $hitty mixed drinks, no beer. Got a gin and tonic that was mostly the toxic gin that comes out of a $ 9 bottle of booze. Domestic bottle(got a Miller Lite) that was $ 4. The bartenders were 2 cute girls, but they had no business mixing drinks even in a club the caliber of Paparazzi. The club was quite dead when I arrived around 10:45pm. The DJ, Mark Forest, was decent. More people showed up as I left an hour later. I’d rather go to Voltage Nightclub in Baltimore even though it’s further out in the city. Will NOT be back again. I immediately got to my neighborhood bar with my crew to drink our sorrow away that is the Paparazzi Nightclub.

Visited this club for Ainsley Burrows«Sweet Spot» event 11÷8÷13. The club itself is located downtown off of Gay St. Parking is PAID all night so do not believe the website’s claim of paid and unpaid spots. If there are unpaid spots I didn’t see them at all. There are meters with on street parking and a lot that is all metered across the street. We paid a flat rate of $ 7 for all night parking. Meters are 24 hours in downtown Baltimore where the clubs and restaurants are located. The club is warehouse style, very spacious and it was absolutely freezing! I wasn’t able to loosen up and fully enjoy myself cause I had my coat on the whole time. It’s probably a spot more enjoyable to the very young club hoppers. As for the event, the host Walter Maxfield was great. The dancer was great… the few poets were good. Everything else was sloppily thrown together: Tickets stated– show starts at 9pm… doors opened closer to ten, chairs were not even in place/people standing around waiting for chairs. The«fashion show» was a mess, the featured singer was atrocious. I will never spend another dime for one of Mr Burrows’ events. He was outside arguing with people who didn’t want to stand in the cold past 9pm. There are plenty of other poetry teams in the DMV who have and can do much better. There is a difference between erotic and ratchet.
