Yayyyyy! It’s about time Baltimore got a Korean BBQ food truck. When I checked them out, they only had 2 menu items and didn’t even have a twitter, a sign, or any web presence at all. But I’m glad to hear that they’ve expanded their menu and I follow them on twitter now! I tried their honey glazed chicken dish and it was surprisingly good. I say«surprisingly» because the food truck was manned by what looked like 2 youngish dudes, and I doubted their Korean bbq marinating abilities. While it didn’t taste like what my momma can do(!), the chicken dish was tasty and I am a fan. Looking forward to checking them out again when I’m downtown!

I’ve scouted this truck out twice now. They’ve expanded their menu to include tacos and the option to order a side of kimchi, beyond what the previous reviewer mentioned. The flavor, quality, and tenderness of the meat are good, and the rice it’s served over is of fine quality. The freshness is comparable to a home cooked meal more so than the Korean BBQ cooked-in-front-of-you level as might be implied. Also, for me the portion of rice was just a smidgen under what I’d expect. Good service, reasonable price for the bowls, and I really shouldn’t complain about good quality Korean food being delivered right in front of the office.

The University of Maryland at Baltimore campus gets a lot of food trucks for lunch. The newest one I’ve seen yet is Road2Seoul, a modest looking white truck with a small sign. Don’t let that detract you though; it’s definitely worth checking out. When I went, there were two items available: Korean BBQ Beef and Honey Glazed Chicken. Both were available as bowls or as boxes(includes a side salad). I opted for the Korean BBQ bowl. The person taking my order was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. The food came in a fairly nice plastic container… better than some carryout joints, actually! There was a decent amount of meat served over some steamed rice. Flavor-wise, the food was good. While it may not be as great as an actual KBBQ restaurant, it does gain points for convenience(it’s a food truck! The food comes to you!). Price was reasonable. It is on par with other food trucks and restaurants in the area. Overall, I liked Road2Seoul and will come by again. They’re off to a nice start and hope they’ll be successful!
